The beautiful and historic “Kapitänshaus Luv & Lee” is located on a tree-lined side street—just 500 meters from the sea and its magnificent sandy beach. Surrounded by vast Bodden meadows, the idyllic harbor, the Barnstorf Nature Reserve, and the lively town center, this vacation home—which underwent extensive renovation in 2021—blends beautifully with the region and culture of this former fishing village.

To the vacation home
With a keen sense of traditional architectural heritage and a love for detail, the former captain’s house was masterfully renovated and restored. The result is a stunningly beautiful vacation home where families, friends, or groups alike will find plenty of space for a relaxing getaway. The heart of the home is the spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a fireplace and access to the sunny terrace. Here, you can cook and chat to your heart’s content. The living room, with its cozy sofa arrangement, is separated by a double door. The home’s private wellness area is also located on the first floor. Thanks to a spacious sauna, rain shower, relaxation area, and separate restroom, you can enjoy this space with all your senses, no matter the season. The wooden staircase in the hallway leads to the four lovingly designed bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed. Two stylish bathrooms with natural light, as well as a reading nook with a small bookshelf, are also located on the upper floor.

This wonderful vacation retreat is rounded out by the multifunctional room, which can be used as desired for yoga, group work, coaching, meditation, or as an additional bedroom (two hotel-style extra beds). In total, up to four high-quality extra beds can be set up in the attic room, so that, if needed, the house can accommodate up to 12 people.

The outdoor area features a large stone terrace with seating. From here, you can enjoy a great view of the garden. Especially on warmer days, the outdoor area—planted with lavender and grasses—invites you to enjoy meals together, relax, and spend time with one another. In addition, the vacation home includes four parking spaces, lockable bike storage in the garden shed, a Weber charcoal grill, and a handcart for conveniently transporting beach gear.

A quick note
The vacation home includes a small guest apartment that is used sporadically by the owners.
