Der Aufenthalt für uns vier war sehr schön. Wir wurden mit einer guten Flasche Wein und selbst eingelegten Pfirsichen begrüsst (sehr lecker!). Tim stellt viele Informationen zu Unternehmungen in der Umgebung zur Verfügung und war bei Fragen zu erreichen und hilfreich, ansonsten aber auf die Privatsphäre seiner Gäste bedacht. Die Scheune ist sehr gut ausgesattet (Küche mit Spülmaschine, Messer, die sehr gut schneiden (!) und die Betten sind lang genug für große Menschen) und war sauber. Bei der sommerlichen Hitze war von großem Vorteil, dass sich die Schlafzimmer im unteren Teil der Scheune befinden - dort blieb es angenehm kühl. Die Kinder liebten den Pool und das WLAN! Man ist mitten auf dem Lande- sehr entspannend! Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Viele der "plus beaux villages de France" sind in der Nähe und zu Sehenswürdigkeiten ist es nicht weit. In Tims Weinladen in Les Eyzies gibt es eine hervorragende Auswahl an Weinen - auch aus der direkten Umgebung.

Gite isolé et bien équipé (dont 2 salles de bain moustiquaires) avec une très belle piscine à une dizaine de minutes de Saint Cyprien et Le Bugue. Belle espace extérieur qui permet de profiter en famille, propriétaires discrets et disponibles.

La maison est au calme à 10 min en voiture de Saint Cyprien ou du Bugue. Notre fils a adoré la piscine et les jeux sur place. Les chambres sont au frais au rdc et les pièces de vie à l étage sur cour. La maison est très fonctionnelle et les environs très arborés. Les gérants sont disponibles très rapidement si besoin. Nous avons avons passé un excellent séjour.

Vacances ressourçantes dans la campagne périgourdine

Très agréable séjour dans une jolie maison avec une piscine de rêve. Ambiance très bucolique, idéale pour recharger ses batteries et visiter cette si belle région de France.

Nightmare

We booked this place one year in advance for three weeks. when we got there the place was a nightmare the dirt was undescribable. The spiders web were everywhere spiders dead & hanging. The curtains had not been touched for ages as the dust & dead insects were stuck on thick. Everywhere we touched there were horrors we started hoovering at the beginning but I realised we could not stay there & I hadn't gone to clean but for a holiday. We complained to the owner seemed at a loss to explain. The downstairs bathroom had no hot water & the upstairs one he explained had a water leak so the door would not open & close as wood expanded. It was still leaking under the sink. Having complained to Verbo who was no help & i had great difficulty understanding what their customer support was saying. The owner offered to get new toaster which was laden with dust/crumbs new curtains in kitchen. But the whole place needed fumigating. So we left next day having stayed there only a few hours. We lost 400 as VRBO a Texan company took their cut of deposit & the owner charged us 2 days even though we only stayed a few hours. We were told if he had cancelled we would have had a full rebate but the owner chose to charge 2 days which was a lie. I have full photos as proof of what we found. So we lost the 400 with no compensation. I would definitely never recommend the place we were truly ripped off by everyone.

Nice country escape.

It’s a nice property in the countryside. Close to St Cyprien and all the Dordogne châteaux and river activities. Great pool although the cold month of May did not warm it up. Hosts were excellent.

Great accommodations.

One of the nicer gites I've rented in the area and I've been visiting the area for about 15 years. Clean, very roomy and well-equipped. The surrounding area is very rural but quite nice. The pool is a great bonus. My only complaint would be that its not at all near the circle on the VRBO map. I expected it to be much closer to St Cyprien.

Pleasant stay in the centre of the Perigord Noir

We (older couple with a dog) had a pleasant stay in this house / barn beautiful located on top of a hill. Surrouded by green slopes covered with forests the rural position is excellent to visit the beautiful countryside.

Very enjoyable stay

Lovely gîte in a rural location about 10 minutes from St Cyprien. Very well equipped and in a lovely setting - to be honest I don’t think the photos etc do it justice. Great pool which is very well managed and maintained surrounded by plenty of space to sit/lounge. Along with several parasols for when shade is much appreciated. Friendly and responsive owners both very helpful. They live next door but are not intrusive in any way but happy to help or provide information if you want it. Lots of lovely places to visit within very easy reach.

Natur pur!

Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen bei Corinne und Tim verbracht. Das Häuschen ist sehr liebevoll und alltagstauglich eingerichtet. Wir haben selbst gekocht und es war wirklich alles vorhanden. Besonders nett fand ich, dass Spülmittel, Geschirrspültabs, Öl und Essig und einige Gewürze und andere Lebensmittel vorrätig waren. Das Häuschen ist in Hanglage angelegt und die beiden Schlafzimmer befinden sich im UG. Die großen Terrassentüren lassen viel Licht herein und gerade bei hohen Temperaturen ist es doch angenehm temperiert in den Schlafzimmern. Im oberen Wohnbereich befindet sich ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit TV, ein zweites Bad und die Küche. Wir haben die Frühstücke auf der Terrasse, die sich der Küche direkt anschließt, sehr genossen. Außerdem haben wir die Stunden an dem riesen Pool mit Treppeneinstieg sehr genossen! Unser Hund durfte mit in den Poolbereich und fand im Schatten der riesigen Hibiskusbüsche und Olivenbäumchens im Schatten einen Platz zum Schlafen. Auf der Terrasse und im Poolbereich, der mit einem Zaun abgesichert ist, befinden sich viele große rote Sonnenschirme, die mir besonders gut gefallen haben, weil rot meine Lieblingsfarbe ist! Die Sonnenliegen sind bequem und in absolut ausreichender Stückzahl vorhanden, da man am Boden nicht liegen kann. Alles ist eingebettet in einen großen, natürlichen Garten mit vielen Kräutern, Feigenbäumen und blühenden Pflanzen. Besonders toll fand ich die wild wachsende Minze. Für 4 Personen eine wundervolle Bleibe. Außerdem gibt es viel Equipment für kleinere Kinder im Haus. Die Treppe kann bei Bedarf mit Treppengittern abgesichert werden. Es gibt einen Sauger und Wischplatte. Danke für die wundervolle Zeit. Unsere Hündin Rosi hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt und kam mit den Nachbarhunden wunderbar aus.

Optimal für Ruhesuchende

Der sehr gut ausgebaute „Schafstall“ liegt in ca 200m Höhe; der nächste Ort mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (St. Cyprien) ist mit dem Auto in ca. 15 min erreichbar. Da wir jeden Tag eine Unternehmung geplant hatten, war das kein Problem. Nachmittags haben wir den privaten Pool genossen und Abends den wunderbaren Sternenhimmel. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, so dass wir uns bestens verköstigen konnten. Objekt ist sehr empfehlenswert! Mr.+Mrs. Harrison wohnen zwar im Haupthaus; sind aber nahezu unsichtbar und sehr nett und hilfsbereit bei Problemen.

Typisches perigordinisches Landhäuschen

Das Häuschen liegt sehr idyllisch umgeben von Wiesen, Bäumen und ruhig fern ab vom Verkehr. Das Grundstück ist gepflegt, mit hohen schattenspendenen Bäumen eingerahmt. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet. Für heiße Sommer steht ein großer, abgeschlossener SwimmingPool zur Verfügung. Familie Harrison hat uns sehr willkommen geheißen. Wir haben(4 Pers.) uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Great stay in The Dordogne

Property was exactly as described. It is in a very rural area. We enjoyed picking fresh figs and apples and hearing the cows mooing in the morning. It is near St Cyprien and was a great home base. We went to the Saturday market in Sarlot, took a great cooking class at the Dordogne cooking school, visited the famous caves, and had a wonderful time visiting the many interesting places in the area. Tim is British so communication was easy and he was always happy to help us with restaurant reservations and check on days and times when things were open. Corrine doesn’t speak a lot of English, but was always available to help us out, since she was right next door and we always managed to understand each other. Although Tim and Corinne live next door, they always gave us our privacy. We were welcomed with a gift of a bottle of wine and there is a wine cooler with bottles of wine at discounted prices for guests - Tim has a wine shop in Les Eyzies. The kitchen was well equipped and we really appreciated having WIFI. All in all a wonderful stay.
