You’ll find a vacation right at the winery in the small, tranquil wine-growing village of Dorndorf, about 1 km from the “city of bells,” Laucha, and about 10 km from Freyburg/Unstrut. The Weingut Beyer wine estate is located directly on the Unstrut Bike Path and offers a variety of excursion options in the surrounding area. Discover the Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region and enjoy your getaway on a wonderful hike, a bike ride, or an adventurous canoe trip.

The modernly equipped vacation apartments in the approximately 300-year-old, renovated inn are located right in the village; some offer a beautiful view of the vineyards of the Dorndorf Rappental valley, while others overlook the flowing Unstrut River from the inn’s own barbecue area. The vacation apartments are fully themed around “wine.”

The “Wine Cellar Apartment” features 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, a living and dining area with a sleeper sofa for up to 2 people, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, and an oven, as well as 1 bathroom with a shower. Towels and bed linens are provided.
During the winter months, a two-sided fireplace in each vacation apartment adds to the cozy atmosphere.

About 20 meters away is a public playground and a small swimming spot on the Unstrut River for a spontaneous dip in the cool water during the summer months.

The nearest airport is Leipzig/Halle Airport, approximately 68 km away.

Dorndorf is the perfect base for exploring the Saale-Unstrut wine region. When you stay with winemaker Johannes Beyer, we offer a free cellar tour with a glass of wine for stays of 5 nights or more.

This small winery now cultivates 7 hectares of vineyards with nearly 15 grape varieties. Johannes places particular importance on producing all products himself. He has also demonstrated his attention to detail in the renovation and remodeling of the wine estate. The vacation apartments, each individually designed and furnished around the theme of wine, reflect a great deal of his own hard, hands-on work.

Hervorragender Urlaub! Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei einer Führung im eigenen Weinkeller konnten sie uns alles über Weinanbau und die Kultur vor Ort erzählen, da sie selbst Winzer sind. Sie haben uns begeistert für ihren hübschen Heimatort Dorndorf bzw. Laucha und ihren ausgezeichneten Rotling, den wir gleich kosten und kaufen konnten.Die Unterkunft war sehr kreativ und aufwendig mit viel Liebe um das Thema Wein gestaltet - unter Verwendung von Holz-Upcycling, dessen besonders urige Atmosphäre wir am meisten schätzten. Wir fanden es sehr gemütlich mit Blick in den doppelseitigen Kamin einzuschlafen. Trotz der nahegelegenen Straße konnten wir bei offenem Fenster ruhig schlafen.Die Unterkunft befindet sich ländlich mitten im Weinanbaugebiet, das mit Spaziergängen und fantastischer Aussicht erschlossen werden kann. Wir konnten die Weinberge in allen Farben des Herbstes auch entlang des nahe gelegenen Flusses erkunden. Fahrradwege sind ebenfalls vorhanden.Der perfekte Urlaub für alle die gern tief eintauchen möchten in das Thema Wein und gern mitten in der Landschaft sind.Wir kommen gerne wieder! Absolut empfehlenswert.
