Villa with private pool, bikes at 2km from town. Quiet area & panoramic views

The villa, restored preserving the typical umbrian style, lies in a top hill location with a beautiful panorama only a couple of kms from the town of Amelia, it is surrounded by a large fenced garden with swimming pool for your exclusive use and location of the villa gives a lot of privacy to the guests. It's is suitable for 2/3 families who want to go on holiday together or for small groups until 15 person. There is a small unit on the ground floor (2+3 s.p. - also suitable for wheelchair users) and a large unit on the first floor (8+4 sleeps). The guests rent always the whole property so there will not be other persons in the villa or that use the garden/swimming pool during the stay. It is possible to eat all together in the large living/dining room on the 1st floor of the villa. If you prefer to eat outdoor, the large porch located in front of the pool is equipped with tables and chairs. To cook also at disposition a barbecue/stone oven and outdoor cooking corner. Cot and highchair available. There is a Wi-fi connection at disposition for free. Nearest restaurant at 500 meters from the villa, grocery 1 km, town of Amelia 2 kms (there are different supermarket, butchers, bakers, a lot of bars, some restaurants and pizzerias...and all the other necessary shops). It's possible to purchase on spot olive oil and wine of own production. Recommended restaurants: the nearby La Gabelletta, La Locanda del conte Nitto (in the old town of Amelia), Il ristoro del Falco (restaurant/pizzeria).

The whole experience at this villa was quite magical. The accommodation was very comfortable and the hosts were extremely helpful and obliging. The setting of the villa with views over to the ancient city of Amelia was enchanting and the town’s restaurants, cafes and market were quite delightful. Negatives were the small if manageable showers and the ancient dishwasher - small matters in light of all the positive aspects of this villa. I could have done with a statement showing the calculation of our gas and electricity usage at the end rather than a bald statement of the amounts owing. Overall, a delightful experience.
Locally sourced fresh produce for a simple but oh so tasty meal.

Daniella et Aldo les propriétaires sont charmants et nous avons eu un très bon accueil.La location est très bien ,grande , nous étions 11 et chacun peut trouver un coin pour s’isoler s’il en a envie.Les extérieurs sont magnifiques , très bien entretenus ainsi que la piscine .Les enfants ont apprécié le ping pong ainsi que le baby -foot.La maison est bien située pour visiter les environs.Nos n’avions pas peur de déranger les voisins :nous sommes entourés de champ .Nous avons pu profiter de très beaux couchers et de levers de soleilNous recommandons fortement cette location

Prachtig verblijf. Mooie kamers. Grote woonkamer waar we met 15 konden eten, verblijven. Ook het kleine appartement was waardevol. Mooie speelkamer met tafeltennis, tafelvoetbal. Zwembad, en een echte pizza oven. Zeer vriendelijke gastheer/gastvrouw. Erg behulpzaam. Mooi uitgangspunt voor excursies.

Amazing Stay

I stayed a month at this property with a group of friends. The villa is amazing and is even more beautiful then the pictures. It was spotless, had everything we needed, and was perfect in every way. This property is a perfect location as a base to explore both Umbria and Tuscany. The views from this villa are breathtaking and we enjoyed many beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The property manager recommended a chef to come and prepare a meal for us and the food and experience was wonderful. The owners Daniella and Aldo treated us like family and were so kind and wonderful. They were so warm and generous I was sad to say goodbye. The town of Amelia has many shops and restaurants to enjoy and the town of Narni is a magical hilltop town located nearby with many dinner and shopping options as well. The history of the area is very interesting. We all enjoyed many relaxing afternoons by the huge pool that was well maintained. The entire property is maintained at the highest of standards. I loved my stay at Daniella and Aldo’s villa. I was sad to leave. I highly recommend this property. All aspects of this VRBO experience was positive. Communication with Guido the property manager was prompt and efficient, all of our interactions with the owners were great, the property was amazing, and the owners anticipated all of our needs and provided a 5 star experience. What an amazing experience! The villa is more beautiful than you can imagine! Lovely grounds, Beautiful pool! Comfortable, clean and week laid out living area, bedrooms and baths. Even better, hosts Daniela and Aldo truly made us feel like a loved and honored part of their family! Highly recommend!

Super Haus, tolle Anlage und klasse Gastgeber!

Wir waren eine große Gruppe von Freunden und das Anwesen war optimal für uns. Es liegt wunderschön und bietet viel Platz für Erholung und Entspannung. Der Pool und die Anlage drumherum waren wirklich super. Die Kochmöglichkeiten gerade mit der Außenküche waren hervorragend. Ein, zwei scharfe Messer wären allerdings nicht schlecht gewesen. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und ordentlich, insgesamt hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Buchung hat sehr gut geklappt, auf Fragen wurde im Vorfeld sehr schnell reagiert und Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Es handelt sich um extrem nette Gastgeber, die stets hilfsbereit und überaus freundlich sind. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Prachtig verblijf in Amelia

De woning is zeer ruim en biedt goed privacy voor in dit geval 4 gezinnen. De faciliteiten waaronder een prachtig zwembad met prima zit/zon gelegenheid, speelveld, extra ruimte met spelmogelijkheden en buitenkeuken boden schitterende mogelijkheden voor een top-vakantie. Daar moet zeker bij vermeld worden de zeer behulpzame en vriendelijke eigenaren, die voortdurend aanboden om ons te tippen over restaurants, winkels, mooie plaatsen in de omgeving om te bezoeken, enz. Uniek is de mogelijkheid om wijn, die ter plekke is gemaakt, voortdurend aan de maaltijden te kunnen toevoegen. Het geheel ligt in een schitterende omgeving die gelukkig nog geen toeristische topattractie is, terwijl het authentieke Amelia alles heeft om dat wel te worden. Kortom: Een geweldige ervaring voorronde hele familie!

Beautiful and unique experience

Daniela and Aldo were the most helpful and lovely host couple - they made us feel extremely welcome at the beautiful property. The house and the surroundings were even more beautiful than shown at the online listing. The rustic kitchen and living room are full of atmosphere. The pool area is excellent and our kids spent days in the pool. The outdoor dining area had an amazing sunset view. All in all the house and property exceeded our high expectations and we highly recommend it to everybody who is looking for an unique Umbria experience. Beautifully renovated mansion on a typical Umbrian hilltop.

We had a wonderful vacation in La Palombara. A beautiful villa & farmhouse. Aldo & Daniela renovated the family farm with a passion for authenticity and traditional Materials. Oak beams, stone walls, terracotta floors and terraces. There is a separate building with a nice porch and terrace overlooking the swimming Pool area. You have a spectacular view on the Umbrian hills and country side. The owners Aldo & Daniela are very very nice people. They live just 5 min away and would do everything to help their guests..... There are no other guests and privacy is kept eventhough Aldo will come by every day for a small visit or to water the flowers. We enjoyed Daniela's SUPER tiramisu as well as Aldo's wine (from their own vineyard). Fantastic house in a fantastic part of Italy. Assisi and Orvieto are must sees, but in fact the whole province of Umbria is beautiful and authentic. The house is 3 min outside Amelia which is a beautiful old Etruskan/Roman town on top of a hill. There are plenty of small bars with Friendly locals at the Porta Romana in Amelia. Good panetteria with FANTASTIC BREAD Also. Really good restaurant in Montenero with REAL Umbrian dood. ... local grilled Meat and typical Umbrian side dishes and vegetables. Can I live there forever please ???

The Perfect Family Holiday Villa

Our extended family of 15 - four families - from The Netherlands, the UK and Australia, spent two weeks together in La Polambara. Mostly we sat around the pool in glorious weather and swam, ate, read, chatted and generally relaxed. The kids loved the expansive outdoor lawned area on which to play. When we did explore the area, we found it historically fascinating, with wonderful scenery and excellent coffee, pastries, pizzas and gelato. The owners Daniella and Aldo were very hospitable and helpful. The red and white wine and olive oil produced on their property was also excellent and great value. The property was atmospheric with high ceilings and stone walls and it was clean and well maintained. We have made a plan to return, explore more of the area, but mainly to just get together again in the wonderful, private setting that catered so well for our age group which ranged from 4 to 74. Thank you Daniella and Aldo for your kindness, generosity and hospitality. We look forward to meeting up again!

A great villa with lots of space and all necessities at place

We had a wonderful week at villa Palombara. We were 7 grown ups and 5 children of age 4-9. The house and it's interior is very very well built and well equipped. The location is private though close to Amelia. The pool-area is fantastic likewise the garden, outdoor kitchen and pizza-oven. Even the bikes were well equipped and maintained though helmets were missing. Another thing we missed were Melitta-filters (1x4) which also was impossible to find at stores in the area. There was a Saeco espressomachine and some moccabrewers which worked just fine though. To finish of we would just like to say that the welcoming and service from the owners was fantastic. Thank you!

great place reasonably priced

We spent a great week in this property. We were 2 families with 8 children (ages 10-20), and we were all very happy with the accommodations. The place is newly renovated and is as nice as it looks in the pictures, and the swimming pool is large and very nice. The property is located on the top of a hill just outside of Amelia, a small ancient city that is certainly worth visiting. There are no immediate neighbors, which is nice. The location is ideal for day trips to other "must see" places in Umbira - Narni, Spoleto, Orvieto, the Marble Waterfall (near Terni), etc. The owners are very nice, and their advice was very helpful. We'll certainly be back!
