The lovingly furnished living area is ideal for unwinding after an eventful day. Whether with a good book or a movie in the evening—this is a wonderful place to relax.
The fully equipped kitchenette offers everything you need for your culinary creations—whether for a leisurely breakfast or a romantic dinner for two.
In the bedroom, a comfortable double bed ensures a restful night’s sleep and a fresh start to the day.
The modern bathroom is both functional and stylish—with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
The large garden is particularly beautiful; it’s in full bloom in the summer and invites you to relax among the greenery.
There’s a storage area for your bicycles under the carport, complete with wall anchors for securing them and a charging station—perfect for actively exploring the surrounding area.
The “Backbord” vacation rental is located on the left side of the house and can be ideally combined with the neighboring “Steuerbord” rental. Both units have separate entrances and are completely independent—a wonderful solution for couples who are friends or small groups who want to vacation together while still enjoying their privacy.
The vacation rental is situated on a quiet side street in Maasholm-Bad, an idyllic village between the Schlei and the Baltic Sea. You’re just a few minutes’ walk from the fine-sand beach, the Oehe-Schleimünde nature reserve, and the gentle riverside paths along the Schlei. Here, your vacation begins the moment you look out the window—with plenty of greenery, fresh sea air, and birdsong.
The location is ideal for anyone who loves nature and outdoor activities: whether it’s long walks by the water, bike rides through the Schlei region, or a visit to the fishing village of Maasholm with its small harbor and cozy cafés—everything is within easy reach. The towns of Kappeln and Schleswig also make for great day trips, with their maritime charm, museums, and regional cuisine.
For water sports enthusiasts, the surrounding area offers ideal conditions: sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, or a boat tour on the Schlei are just a few of the options. And those who simply want to relax will find their favorite spot in the large garden or on the nearby beach.
We would like to point out that access to our “Backbord” and “Steuerbord” vacation apartments is only partially suitable for guests with limited mobility. The path has steps and—in classic Frisian style—is made of natural Baltic Sea stones, making it somewhat uneven (see photo).
