Best vacation EVER

Ok....I say that on most vacations, but really, this place is fantastic and I would 100% stay here again. It is just so convenient! It is about midway whether you want to go westward to the Waimea canyon area or north to the beautiful beaches. But honestly, you can just stay around Poipu, where this condo is located. It is perfect for literally walking across the street to Poipu village shopping (for shopping, cafes, restaurants) or the little coffee shop (Little Fish). There is beach access for this resort and it is a great place to watch for whales as well as a beautiful sunset every night. Walk along the beach to Poipu beach to see the sea turtles, catch a monk seal napping and watch the whales jumping and blowing. It's really amazing!! The condo itself is quiet and clean. Note that there is NO air conditioning here but there are lots of fans blowing and we were extremely comfortable the whole time. Also, it is on the 3rd (top) level so you will walk up 33 steps to get there. We loved it!!

Loved this Condo!

We loved our stay at your place. The condo was everything we were looking for. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The open kitchen and high ceilings gave it a great open feel. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, and snorkels to use - it was such a nice added bonus You were so kind to leave us an amazing welcome gift and note when we arrived. Such a thoughtful added touch We have been coming to the Kiahuna for 30 years and your place did not disappoint. Nice condo.

Only one concern....we had trouble with the stove because we couldn't read the dials. The condo was well stocked. No need to buy paper towels and spices. The welcome bag was full of great goodies...including coffee and chocolates. There iwas also a closet filled with snorkel equipment and boogie boards. No need to rent those items. A great place to rent.

Great unit on beautifully landscaped grounds.

The condo provided all the basic necessities from cooking items to beach use. It is a very well maintained, comfortable unit overlooking a beautiful gigantic monkey pod tree. I would not hesitate to recommend the unit.

Beautiful Unit and Location

We loved our stay in this condo. We have stayed in several other units at Kiahuna Plantation and this was definitely our favorite. We had everything we needed and more for cooking and going to the beach. Kevin and Kate provided a lot of useful information and were a pleasure to deal with. We did try to rebook this condo for next year, but the unit was already reserved for our dates. Coming back to this unit after a beautiful day hiking or snorkeling was really very comforting. We stayed four weeks and were very sad to leave. Laura, Igor & Rachael

A lovely stay!!

A wonderfully appointed condo with a lovely view. Everything we needed to cook, relax, and enjoy our anniversary. The updated Poipu Athletic Beach Club was a pleasant surprise and the pickleball courts were delightful. Do recommend.

Beautiful Resort

As this was our first time at Kauai we didn’t know what to expect. The resort is beautiful and the unit had everything that was needed for a great week. A special shout out to the Castle staff. When we arrived I inadvertently dropped my passport in the taxi and didn’t realize it until the next morning. The Castle reception tracked down the taxi company and driver and all was returned to us by noon. A potential vacation disaster was averted and many thanks. A couple of suggestions. As we arrived late by taxi the driver did not know the complex at all and it took close to an hour to find the unit, maybe a map in the welcome package for late strivers. We were worried about marking the glass tables so some coasters or placemats may be a suggestion. Thanks for a great week.

Nice property, close to the beaches and walking distance to lots of places. Layout of condo is great, lanai has a beautiful view, decor in the unit is nicely done and everything is well stocked. It was hot so we used ALL of the fans!

Beautiful Poipu

We love staying at Kiahuna and this condo is very comfortable and well equipped . Just a short walk to the best beach , shopping and restaurants. KAUAI is such a special place . We would love to stay here again !

Great unit. Great hosts!

The property on the Kiahuna Plantation is excellent. The unit was very clean and well stocked with all of the kitchen utensils you need. There were plenty of beach chairs, toys, and snorkeling gear for the whole family. Like others have mentioned, the unit is close to where some of the roosters like to hang out, but it’s Kauai….there are literally roosters everywhere. You can easily sleep through their crowing. The hosts are very kind and communicative. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Amazing stay

This unit was wonderful! We have stayed at Kiahuna plantation many times over the years and this unit was lovely. Our favorite part was sitting out on the lanai drinking coffee and watching the birds and geckos and looking over the beautiful grounds. It was a little tight going with our two teenage boys but the affordability of this unit was definitely worth it. The welcome gifts were a really nice touch and it was nicely stocked with all the things you need for a great beach day. Would definitely stay here again! Mahalo for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Lovely setting, beautiful beach

We spent our evenings on the lanai enjoying the expansive trees and lush garden, and looking out at the surf. The condo had everything we needed to cook, and the amenities we needed to make our stay pleasant and trouble-free. The hosts made communication easy. We'd go back!

Great visit

The place was clean with a well stocked kitchen which was great since we cook and bake. Also, it was so nice of them to stock coolers, chairs, fins and snorkels of different sizes for fun at the beach. Eating on the patio was quiet and beautiful. The walk to the beach past the well maintained grounds was always a pleasure too. Kevin was quick to respond to questions and always helpful. My wife and I had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning, Mahalo!

Over the years we have been lucky to have visited the four major islands and enjoyed the special qualities of each. We fell in love with Kauai! For over 30 years we have spent vacations on Kauai. We have stayed on the north shore, on the east shore and in the south in the Poipu area. Although we live in a beach community in Southern California, we look forward to our trips to Kauai. It takes us away from the frantic Southern California pace, allows us to relax, reconnect with nature and rejuvenate our bodies and aloha spirit. We have been fascinated by the Kiahuna Plantation's old world feeling of traditional Hawaii and fell in love with it's location and the beach. The Poipu area, although it has many visitors, also maintains a wonderful local feeling and aloha spirit. As a family we enjoy the beaches, especially the snorkeling around the Kiahuna Plantation and Poipu beach and as an avid long time bodysurfer, I enjoy Shipwreck's beach which is a short distance from our condo.

We became familiar with Kauai, Poipu and Kiahuna over the years and the island area around the plantation became part of us. We have a special feeling when we are there. For years we have looked for just the right property to fully enjoy all the Island has to offer. We fell in love with Kiahuna and this condo because of Kiahuna's location on Kauai and the condo's location within Kiahuna Plantation. As an added bonus, the former owner has lovingly and tastefully remodeled and upgraded in exactly the way we would have done it ourselves!
We read the great reviews from guests that had stayed in this condo recently - many 5 star reviews!!!

We loved the decor and the kitchen was a dream to cook in. We loved the view from our lanai, the tiki torches at night, the early morning rain showers and the sounds and scents of tropical paradise.....
The location is ideal - a 2 minute stroll to the ocean and there is a fantastic restaurant on the property. We will be back!
The apartment is airy, lovely, light, and quiet. We spent much of our time on the lanai, where we were visited daily by local and beautiful tropical birds. We were six minutes walk from my favorite beach for snorkeling.....'

Our vacation home is centrally located within the plantation. It is surrounded by lovely tropical trees and gardens. It is a short walk one way to the beach and the other way to Castle Resort's exclusive Poipu Beach Athletic Club, tennis & pickle ball courts, and swimming pool.
