Makes it easy to enjoy SF

Great communication, well stocked for making the stay comfortable. Easy access to public transportation. Close to neighborhood shops and restaurants. Chez makes booking very easy. Can't wait to come back.

Cozy apartment

Overall, this was 4 & 1/2 stars. The entrance gate was unusable due to the wooden gate/door being swollen from the recent rain. We were provided with a garage door opener that allowed us to access the apartment. It was just perfect for our needs.

Staying at this Olive's Gate property was an excellent experience. The information was accurate and Chez was very responsive. The neighborhood is safe and not far from the central parts of Noe Valley and the Mission. Checking in and out were simple. Quiet at night. Comfortable. Great water pressure! Any issues? My wife prefers a softer bed. Great place/stay/experience overall.

Perfect SF getaway

Great location near shopping on 24th street! Also, incredible water pressure, best shower of my life. Chez was accommodating and helped getting us a parking pass prior to our arrival, made parking the car stress free.

Great stay at Olivia’s Gate

Perfect little studio apartment in Noe Valley. Everything was as described. Great neighborhood and location for getting around the city. J Church Muni stop only a block away and BART to the airport is only a 15 minute walk. No need for a car! Will definitely stay again.

Charming studio apt.

Chez was a wonderful host. The unit was well equipped. The shower was fantastic! We do recommend that the heavy wooden door to the street be shaved down at the top. The door was so heavy that I could not pull it open as it was stuck to the frame. My husband could.

perfect stay in san francisco

Olive's Gate was a wonderful place to stay for our first visit to San Francisco. The apartment was comfortable with all the right amenities, a fantastic shower, and was surprisingly quiet. There is a private outdoor area to relax in and a great neighborhood to walk to. It is the perfect spot to come back to every evening after full days of exploring the city.

Lovely flat in a great neighbourhood

I reallly enjoyed my stay at Olive’s Gate! Great studio with a kitchen and a lovely yard. Chez is very welcoming and flexible on any requests. The flat is very well located, with the train J around the corner and Dolores park at 5-10 minutes walking. I highly recommend it!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Overall OK. No washer/dryer in the unit— listing misleading. Unit itself is directly connected to a garage which contributes to the musty odor of the place. Question about location of washer/dryer not answered by the owner for 4 hours. Owner said we could use the washer/dryer in the adjacent garage— but not until the next day! Certainly no hot tub that was in the listing. No tub at all. Bizarre note left by the owner informing us that we must vacate on time because someone coming in right afterward. Unit itself was clean. Everything worked. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. Owner could have been a bit more courteous. He never called to explain the issue with the washer/dryer. Just a curt text.

Great apartment with outdoor space and full kitchen

The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay. Everything was well laid out and the place felt spacious and comfortable. And the shower was truly amazing. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Location

We had an amazing weekend at Olive’s Gate! The studio is situated in a perfect location, and provided everything we needed and more. The host was friendly and communicative, and went out of her way to ensure we had a seamless stay. I’d absolutely stay here again!

A perfect Pied a Terre!

Olive’s Gate is absolute perfection. Easy key retrieval, gorgeous private garden, super clean, AMAZING shower and water pressure! Chez has thought of every need you might have including umbrellas, reusable shopping bags, a lint brush, and a well outfitted cook’s kitchen that’s larger than many full sized urban apartments (note: no freezer in apartment). Comfy bed. Quiet. Great communication with host. Laundry. We enjoyed full use of the kitchen and ate outside at the table in garden too. The J line metro/train stop is just one block away. Just perfect in every way.

Quiet spot in a pleasant neighborhood

I've stayed at this property a few times and always enjoy it. There's a little outdoors deck and the space feels private and relaxing. It's a short walk from more happening neighborhoods so you can easily go get some food or drinks and come back to get away from all that. Owner is pleasant and accommodating as well.

I have lived in Noe Valley for decades and have watched it blossom into a vibrant, friendly neighborhood. I love it in Noe for the warmer climate and the ability to walk to many things from here. The neighborhood gives me a sense of community which is important to me.

When I bought this property it was run down and in a good location. There are vistas, city sized gardens and the ability to spend time outside. These seem like luxuries in a city but are prized by me.
