The property has been completely refurbished in a modern stylish way. It was very clean, extremely well kitted out, in a beautiful old but renovated building, with a table outside. It was very quiet, the bed was comfortable, there is a lovely bathroom, modern kitchen, and a safe is provided. The host was responsive.However: I struggled with the keylock box to get in and was disappointed by how dark the ground floor of the apartment was, which explains why the lights are on in all the photos. It was fine for me as I was out during the day, but it wasn't very homely, and navigating the pillars was annoying after a while. The upstairs bedroom space was better, felt less cramped and also had a desk. I couldn't work out how to operate the oven/microwave and couldn't find any instructions, and the downstairs TV (which is far too small for the space) was not connected to the internet, again no instructions to be found. The TV in the bedroom was fine, so I spent my evenings there. The location is convenient for sightseeing, grocery shopping and public transport, and it is great to have outside space but it is a quite boring residential area. All this meant that despite the pristine condition the apartment was in, I didn't feel at home and felt it was quite expensive for a one bedroom.Finally, the apartment has no air conditioning, and I found it hard to sleep as it was very hot the first 2 nights and the fan provided upstairs was noisy.
