We were a family of five, my 82 year old father, my sister and brother-in law, and myself and my husband (we are all in our 50s). The house is beautiful, spacious living spaces, my dad loved the media room and watching movies, and we played pool every evening. As it is winter now we did not really swim in the pool, just took a dip after a spa, the spa was so relaxing. The master suite is spacious and quiet and the views are quite breathtaking. We all enjoyed having our own bathrooms. Curtis was always available to answer any questions we had. We ate in a lot and had many a night around the dining room table. It was so convenient having Safeway less than a mile away. None of us had been to the island in about 30 years, and had never stayed on the Windward side. But it was often gloomy at the house, and clear at the beaches (again probably just time of the year, whenever we went to Waikiki for example it was clear and much warmer), but we would rather have this beautiful house to come home to after a long day. We stayed Xmas week, and it was expensive (as is everything on the island at this time of year), but because we did pay a premium we did have some little annoyances (not that they would have stopped me staying there again!). One of the bedrooms is attached by a door to the rental space above the garage, my sister could not sleep because (in her words) she could hear every word, the TV, them brushing their teeth, getting going in the morning etc. etc. She is a very light sleeper. So we decided to switch bedrooms with her and while my husband and I could hear them they didn't bother us, just something to note for a light sleeper. There are plenty of ear plugs in the side table, but they did not help her. The BBQ could do with being replaced in my opinion, it was very dirty (which we burned off as best we could), but also hard to start. We only used it once. We would have appreciated some little touches in the kitchen, salt and pepper shakers, coffee, more bath towels, paper towels, toilet paper, so that we did not have to replenish? But maybe I am too fussy :-) The ice-maker in the fridge does not work. We were there NYs eve and if we come back again at this time of year we will stay home and watch all the local fireworks they were amazing! We went to Waikiki for dinner and to watch the fireworks from there which were also good, but not as convenient as having them on your doorstep! All in all we loved our week here!
