Charming Charlevoix Chalet

We had a wonderful time in Janna’s home. She was very gracious and welcoming! Upon arrival, we were immediately drawn in by the stunning view overlooking the water. We enjoyed many evenings on the deck and the home’s decor was incredibly warm and inviting. 😊

Lovely spot and great views.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. It is in the perfect spot to access everything nearby. The house is great, especially the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. We hope to come back again.

Amazing Stay!

We enjoyed an amazing week in Charlevoix the Beautiful!! The location and view of this property is amazing, after you get there you don’t even need a car, you can walk everywhere you can imagine. House was stocked with all the necessities and more, highly recommend this property!

Great home in a great location!

This is a perfect home for enjoying Charlevoix and the surrounding area. The view from the deck is incredible. The house is very clean, beds very comfortable, and right in town near restaurants and shopping. Janna is a great host and very responsive. We loved staying here.

Excellent home and location

Absolutely wonderful for so many reasons. Location is to die for, accommodations for a mix of older teens and adults, and equipped to make it easy to arrive and enjoy. This was our 2nd summer staying here and it’s truly an awesome experience.

Perfect Spot in Charlevoix

Very nice property in the heart of Charlevoix. Great views of all of the boating activity. Property manager is very responsive and easy to work with.

Nice house in great location

Perfect location for seeing all of Charlevoix. Very nice house with great outdoor spaces. Property manager was really easy to communicate with and was very responsive.

Adorable!

We loved staying at this property for a vacation with my parents. The town is very walkable with a lot to do. The artwork in the home was gorgeous and the house was very peaceful with beautiful views of the harbor. We'd love to go back sometime!

July 4th in Charlevoix

We love Charlevoix and we love Janna’s cozy house on the hill. Beautiful view of the marina from the back deck and you can walk anywhere you need to go. We will be back for sure.

4th of July week in Charlevoix

Perfect location. Walking distance to everything. Loved the deck. Enjoyed watching boats come in and out of the harbor. Lovely home, well-stocked with all of the necessities. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful home, great experience

This is a beautiful home in an excellent location. The large, nicely furnished deck is amazing! The owner is very easy to work with and responds quickly to any sort of question. I look forward to renting this property again in the future!

Amazing location

Wonderful view of the marina and the park downtown. So convenient to walk to shops and restaurants, grocery store and beach. Owner of property was very thorough in preparing the amenities and providing everything you need. We'll be going back again.

Beautiful and convenient !

Charlevoix is a great vacation spot and Janna's house is perfect. The accommodations are lovely and had everything one would need. The view of Charlevoix's Round Lake is unbeatable, and we loved being able to walk or bike to everything we needed in town. Janna was available and helpful whenever we needed anything. We can't wait to return.

Amazing property- great stay

This was an amazing stay from beginning to end. Pictures really don't do it justice. The house is so well cared for and every little thing you can possibly need is provided for you. The views are beautiful too! Janna is a great host and took the time to stop by and show us some other property things. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will surely be back!

Beautiful view

A great home in a great location. The deck is a great place to start and end your day with a beautiful view of Round Lake. Walking distance to groceries, restaurants, and shopping. Plenty of room for six people. Kitchen and bathrooms had everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Perfect location, clean and well stocked

This is a lovely home with a beautiful view overlooking round lake. The house is well taken care of with beautiful gardens. The bathrooms and laundry are supplied with toiletries and nice soaps, and plenty of towels, including beach towels, are provided. Our family and a few friends really enjoyed our time on the balcony, and we can’t wait to stay again next year. Thanks to Janna for being a gracious and welcoming host! -The Farjo Family

Wonderful big lakefront house

Property features, size and amenities were better than expected. The pictures don't do full justice to how large and nice the house was. Janna was very helpful and accomodating on our check in as we were visiting from out of town and unsure on our arrival time. Thanks again for making your property available!

The definition of Brigadoon in Webster’s Dictionary is “a place that is idyllic, unaffected by time, or remote from reality.”

You may be familiar with the musical or movie “Brigadoon”. It is a musical with a book and lyrics by Lerner and music by Loewe that premiered in New York City in 1947 at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

The story is of a mythical village in the Scottish Highlands. The village became enchanted centuries ago remaining unchanged and invisible to the outside world except for one special day every hundred years when it could be seen and even visited by outsiders. This enchanted day is spent in joy and celebration. Those who happen upon Brigadoon may remain in this beguiling place after that magical day only if they love another enough to give up the world outside.
Charlevoix is the magical place. Chances are that you, like me, will enjoy the celebrations here and will appreciate that the natural beauty has been unaffected by time.

My career led me to live in many different places and to travel to many countries. Though it was Charlevoix that I couldn’t seem to forget, and it was here that I eventually moved back to. That is why I fondly call my house Brigadune (dune to reflect the wonderful beaches here). Now I enjoy the magic here every day. I hope you will find it magical too.
