Hi Angel, thank you for taking the time to review your experience with the property and our company. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your time in the villa overall and regret that you felt our optional tours were an attempt to take advantage of guests...after almost 13 years in business and thousands of rentals under our belt, I assure you that that short term approach to working with our valued guests on tours/excursions would not have lead to our long standing success. That said, I do want to speak to the individual points you made in an attempt to offer some clarification. In terms of the airport transfers, the service is a flat fee (sixty per way) for up to 8 passengers. For guests with limited or no Spanish, it ensures that they don't need to worry about negotiating a price, navigating directions to a property they are not familiar with, and hauling their luggage out to the street (about a 10 - 15 minute walk). Ultimately it's an optional service in line with pricing for other private suburbans verses public taxis. NOTE: taxis within the gates of the airport are registered and have to pay a fee to come in - resulting in a higher price than those outside at the gas station. The late fee you're talking about does not apply to guests with flight delays or those using our transfers as our drivers know to call our team to advise us of delays so we can prepare accordingly on our end. I'm sorry that this point was not more clear for you! The fee has been charged 3 times in 5 years (and 2000+ stays). Prior to us stipulating a fee for controllable late arrivals, our team would be waiting 2 or 3 hours at a property for guests to show up. In terms of the tours you're talking about, I can appreciate how at a glance this seems fishy. In general, our company is committed to working with registered, insured, local providers. Our private yacht charters can accommodate up to 14 people (verses the 8 you've mentioned), all have bathrooms, and come fully staffed with a fantastic team. The money is staying local. As for scuba diving, again, we hand pick providers that are fully certified and insured as we work with many international guests - this does create a higher price-point but is the only way we feel comfortable promoting an excursion. We cannot guarantee or speak to who is or is not insured in general in Huatulco, however we can guarantee that our chosen providers are. Lastly, in terms of the property issues you've outlined, I'm truly sorry for the impact it had on your stay! Huatulco is still a remote destination, which means signal strength can vary from time to time. We are intimately familiar with this as we conduct business year round from our Huatulco office. That said, the 4 nights that you were in town, there was a region wide signal issue. We were hopeful that it would be resolved quickly for you, but are ultimately at the mercy of the provider. Huatulco is a tropical destination which means that if you leave food on the counter, you will see ants. Keeping sweet items like fruit in the fridge is always a good idea. The property is regularly fumigated and the property management team was advised to go in/replace some of the ant traps on the floors in the kitchen per your feedback. Estimado Stephane, gracias por sus comentarios, respectos a sus comentarios durante su estancia, primero que nada esperamos que no hayan impactado su estancia y vacaciones, en My Hutaulco Vaccation lo mas más importante para nosotros es que los huéspedes disfruten de sus vacaciones, por lo que se le dio seguimiento inmediato el día que no la casa no fue abastecida por agua por unas horas, hay cosas que no podemos controlar pero intentamos solucionarlo al momento. Respecto al alacrán muerto que vieron y la tarántula, tenemos que recordar que nosotros somos quienes estamos en su hábitat y a pesar de fumigaciones semanales sale de nuestras manos controlarlo. La piscina tuvo su mantenimiento adecuado éste año por lo que nos hubiese gustado que nos lo reportaran durante sus estancia ya no hemos encontrado ninguna fuga y finalmente nos hubiera gustado poder el ofrecer el servicio de limpieza completo, pero desafortunadamente nos cancelaron un servicio que ofrecimos. Esperamos tener la oportunidad de hospedarlo nuevamente a usted y a su grupo en Huatulco. Atentamente, Tus amigos en My Huatulco Vacation.

Dear Ramon, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Vista Hermosa. Is good to know that the property's condition & description is accurate and you had a nice experience. As it is mencioned in the Villa's description - Important Property Note - Is true that due to the openair nature of this property and the fact that you’re in a tropical climate, it’s likely that you will see some geckos, tropical insects, etc. around. That said, wit is also recommended to pack/bring some bug spray! We are in rainy season, so the condition is very different of the winter time, where the bugs are uncommon.
