For your at-the-beach vacation, this lovely rental puts you in touch with the ocean, miles of coastline, and romantic star-filled evenings. Nestled on the shore of Kekaha, it offers the sunniest, warmest weather on the island. Magnificent sunsets with evenings so tranquil you can drift off as you watch the moonlight dance like diamonds on the water. This home is designed for gorgeous views, ocean in front and waving green foothills in back.

A one bedroom, one bath accommodation with full size kitchen, dining area, and living room is available for your enjoyment. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the living room has cable TV with premium movie channels, and sofa bed. Extra single bed available.

Swimming, surfing, kite-surfing, paddle boarding, sunbathing, & fishing are available in front of the house. Tennis courts and a boat harbor (offering various cruises), are just minutes away. November through March offers Whale watching from your lanai.

Great stay

It was a great stay. The check in was easy and we could check in any time we wanted. The location is so beautiful. You are staying directly at the ocean. From your balcony you have an incredible view over the ocean. They provide some surf and snorkel gear for you, which is really cool. The host made sure, that we had everything we want. I totally recommend a stay at this location. If there is a next time we will stay there for sure. Thanks for the wonderful time.

Air conditioning not working

The air conditioner in the bedroom was not working. Only 1 air conditioner was working and it did not cool the entire area. Kekaha is a very hot place and we always insist before we rent about having air conditioners. We could not sleep in the bedroom because it was too warm.

Lovely but a mess outside

Host Kevin was great, friendly and communicated great. The room was spacious with a small but efficient kitchen, bathroom was fine. Out main gripe was outside the room on the property. Junk everywhere, felt like a hoarders backyard. The pool is empty. This place would look so much better if a container or 2 or 3 would show up and throw all the junk away. Still recommended though!

Great location - house not so great

The location was excellent; however the condition of the property was not. The electrical was funky, sometimes a light would come on, sometimes not. It's dark and dated. None of the louvered windows were operable for fresh air citlrculation; however, there were 2 window AC units. The grounds are in dire need ofmaintenance.

Ok’ish stay in ground floor room

Mixed… we haven’t had super high expectations, we booked it to be close to the canyon. We agreed on having the lower flat, but this I can’t recommend. You have not really ocean view, it’s dark, equipment is aged, it’s loud from the street and not always clean. Bathroom and towels were fine. Backyard is messy. We looked to the apartment on first floor and this is much better. Kevin is a friendly person and open for feedback.

Very convenient location for the three days we were on that side of the island

We rented the first floor studio connected to the main living area. I want to give an honest review without it sounding like I’m bashing the place. We absolutely had everything we needed… fully stocked kitchenette and fridge, full bath, TV, comfortable bed, air conditioning, and access to washer/dryer. But I do want to point out a few things I wish I had known before booking. First, there is no privacy in this unit, all the windows allow other tenants to easily look in. Second, this property is right on the road and super noisy from traffic all night long. Third, we could hear the people in the attached unit fighting on two separate occasions. Lastly, not everything was as clean as I prefer (e.g., the blinds were filthy, the bathroom walls were smeared, the tv was grimy). The owners is a friendly and personable guy, so no disrespect to anyone personally, just being totally honest.

AMAZING OCEANFRONT

The best place to stay on this side of the island! Desirable location, close to restaurants, Kaluala Valley lookout and Waimea Canyon. Would recommend and stay here again.

Beautiful Southwest Kauai Scenery

Ocean waves and sunsets from your living room. Somewhat dated with older amenities. Kevin the owner checked us in, a friendly guy who's available to help onsite.

Pleasant stay

Our stay was great! Kevin was extremely friendly and nice. House is a little bit far from the center but thanks to that is much more local and it’s closer to other side of the island. Probably everyone has a car so it is not an issue. If you want to feel like home in Hawaii you should visit!

Great stay in Kekaha at Kevin's Place

Kevin was very warm and welcoming to our group and his property is at a fantastic location right on the main road around Kaua'i and with a terrific view of the ocean from the lanai... just walk across the street to the beach! Kevin offered us use of all of his myriad beach supplies and truly made us feel like family. I can't wait to stay here again. The studio was clean and accommodated our group perfectly. If you are looking to stay on the sunny west side of Kaua'i and don't need something fancy I would highly recommend Kevin and Pam's place! Thank you!

Perfect location

Location is just perfect. Right on the ocean. Wonderful view. You can see Sunset and sunrise from the balcony.Close to waimea canion. The apartment is a bit old and would need some fixing and deep cleaning ( for instance curtains and armchairs/sofa) In the photos looked more fancy. And for the price I paid I expected something different.) When I arrived there was a very strong smell in the bedroom, but I think it was coming from outside, from the air-conditioning. When I stopped the air-conditioning and opened the windows it was ok.

VRBO Close to Waimea hiking and nice sunsets

As the title says, the best thing about this VRBO is how close it is to Waimea hiking and sunsets on the beach. It is convenient, clean and the manager is easy-going and communicates promptly. The unit is a good value, but lacks good lighting and AC is barely adequate only if you close the curtains to insulate. Electricity needs upgrading, but good enough. We enjoyed our stay, but this place isn’t for the high-brow or picky. ;—)

Comfy studio for our short stay

We needed a spot to stay one night in Kekaha for my husband to ride to a bike race early in the morning. This little studio was the perfect location and big enough for our 14 month old daughter to play, even with her portable crib out. The bed was big and comfortable, and the kitchenette was just right to get us through breakfast in the morning. The AC easily kept the whole place cool overnight and Kevin was easy to find for check in and out. If you like everything brand new and fancy, you might be better off in a hotel. If you wish you had a friendly uncle in Kekaha with a spare room to share, this is the perfect place for you.

Great location and room

Wonderful location right near several things we wanted to do. The room was clean and had lots of amenities that would make it easy to stay for several nights. We stayed in a first floor room that had 4 steps up from ground level, and was spacious inside. The bathroom was large enough for our manual wheelchair to go in and out easily. No complaints at all!

Can’t beat the location

The property is definitely on the older side but it has everything you could need! Plenty of beach chairs, towels, beach activities, spices, shampoo, access to grill/upper deck, sunscreen, etc. It is directly across the beach where one can watch both sunset and sunrise. Tons of awesome hiking, beaches, restaurants and views a quick drive away. A nice nice escape from the touristy-ness of nearby towns.

With there hotels asking for ridiculous prices and the other vrbo homes asking ridiculous cleaning fees, this one was perfect! Across the water, and easy location!

The view is as good as advertised

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The picture promises a great view and reality does not disappoint. For our late December stay we saw colorful sunrises and sunsets, even a rainbow, just from the balcony. Whales were also able to be viewed from the balcony on most days so we avoided rough seas, skipping the expensive whale-watching boat trips. Host were friendly; we loved being so close to Waimea Canyon and Kokee park (easy to predict if the Kalalua lookout would be fogged in so we could plan our trips).
