This is duplicative of feed back previously submitted...We enjoyed our stay at your lovely home and thank you for the opportunity. As a seasoned homeaway/vrbo customer, please allow me to humbly offer a few suggestions that would have made the stay great....1. There was an intensely offensive odor that permeated the home, strongest in the first two bedrooms. The closest I can come in describing the odor is concentrated urine. The deodorizers we purchased at the local market somewhat helped mask the odor but did not eliminate it.2. You may wish to have your cleaning staff address the areas behind the night stands in the back bedroom. I needed access to the outlet and when I moved the nightstand forward to access it, I was met with dust and trash. 3. I understand the need for continuous maintenance but please have your staff announce themselves and also not block the driveway. It was quite jarring when they came barging into the back yard.4. You may wish to remove damaged beach supplies from the outdoor storage.Wishing you and yours heath and happiness.

Super clean house with fully equiped kitchen. The backyard with the spa and its lanei are so relaxing after a day exploring the island.Perfect location if you are looking to be away from all the tourists yet not too far for shopping.Cooler was very useful! Mahalo!

My spouse and I stayed here in early June to celebrate 20 years together. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing. We explored pretty much all of Kaua’i but also made sure to enjoy this house as well, which felt just like our private little oasis.Location is great: easy drives to SaltPond Beach, Poipu Beach (sea turtles) and even all the way north to Limahuli Garden and Preserve (a definite MUST SEE).We walked Kekaha Beach every evening to watch the sunset. The hot tub was amazing — we spent evenings in it, watching the stars and relaxing. We loved staying here and had an absolutely magical week on Kaua’i.

Stress-free experience

Our family of four had a a great stay here. The house was clean, beds comfortable and kitchen set up to enable cooking as often as we chose. Quiet neighborhood, private backyard, close to Waimea for local grocery store and restaurants. Easy location to make day trips to Kōloa, Poipu, Lihue, Wailua, Hanalei, etc. The Kekaha beach had the best waves for boogie boarding and it’s a 2 minute drive! Best spot for access to Waimea Canyon.

A quiet little oasis

We (me, my wife and 16yr old daughter) stayed here for 5 nights on our first trip to the Hawaiian Islands and we loved it! Now, it should be stated that this house is a good 30-40 minutes from Lihue so be prepared to spend some time in the car. But the trade off is getting away from all the busy touristy areas and just finding a quiet spot to relax. The whole property is very nicely updated. Both bedrooms and bathrooms well outfitted. The mini split A/C worked very well and was much appreciated. We like to cook and the kitchen gave us everything we needed to grab some fresh seafood, whip up a great dinner and sit on the back lanai to eat.And since I mentioned the back lanai, let me just say it was our go to hangout spot. Morning coffee, chilling in the afternoon between activities, dinner and drinks in the evening, whatever! That’s where we spent the majority of our stay. The backyard is completely private and secluded. We even had a couple neighborhood cats that would stroll through daily. They kept to themselves and so did we. And on one occasion, a fresh mango fell from the neighbor’s tree into our yard. Tasty!Again, if you don’t mind being a little ways from the action and are seeking quiet, this is a great option. Kaua’i is very chill and laid back and this property fits that vibe perfectly.

Living like a local

This home is restored beautifully and well maintained. Excellent communication and less than 5 minute walk to the beach. You are in the more rustic part of the island but if you want to get away and relax like a local this is it. Great restaurants and friendly people close by. 30-45 min drive to other beaches and resorts if you want to get a different view. The front porch and Lanai are also incredible.

Amazing plantation home

Just got home today, spent 10 days at this beautiful home. Beds were comfy, lots of space, back lanai was adorable and hot tub was a bonus. Didn’t really use the hot tub or the lanai as we were hardly there, only to sleep. Kitchen is well stocked. Showers are nice. Yard is so nice. Lawn chairs and umbrellas and towels are always appreciated. The cooler was a bonus and the shop vac to get all the sand out of our rental car, outside shower was a good idea too. We hope to stay here again. There’s a nice little trail across the street that takes you to the beach, you can’t really sit in sand on this beach but can walk not far to sandy areas. stay here again.

The Best

I've stayed in many Air ***s and VRBOs, and this was the best. We didn't want to stay in the Poipu or Princeville areas, had no desire to stay again in a condo. This house is in a small town, easy access to beaches and the canyon. The back yard is lovely. The house was amazingly fitted and clean with everything we needed. Would stay again in a heartbeat! If youre looking for crowds and nightlife, then it's not for you. If not, its perfect.

Second time renting

We have been in this home before, and looked no further when returning to Kaua’i. It was very clean and comfortable for us. I really like being able to park in our own driveway so close to the door. If we would be so blessed to return to Kaua’i in the future, this is where we would hope to stay. Aloha

So great we stayed here again

Can’t leave a better review than the fact we stayed here for 2 more weeks a couple years later. Really a great place, best property management team on the island (we’ve stayed in properties managed by them 5? times now), and for the beach and the mountain this is a spectacular location.

Beautiful, comfortable home!

The house worked great for our family of 4 (2 kids - 20 and 18). It is very nicely decorated, clean, and the beds super comfortable. It has all amenities you could need for cooking and for the beach including beach chairs and towels. Loved having a hot tub to use after our hiking adventures. The back porch was the perfect setting for our breakfasts. Kekaha is a little more remote and not as touristy as other parts of the island (which is why we selected this VRBO). It is really close to Waimea Canyon which is a bonus. Note, the beach adjacent to the house is not swimmable due to rocks/waves. When we were there in the summer, the water was right up to the rocks (so you can’t swim or walk on the beach). But you could hear the waves from the house which was a bonus. A really nice neighbor gave us a couple of mangoes when we were walking one morning. Highly recommend staying here!

Off the beaten path

Quiet, serene, virtually tourist free area. Easy, back road access to Waimea Canyon. A far cry from the hordes of Poipu and Koloa and the north shore. Went to Salt Pond beach every day for a swim after hiking. Kids loved the bigger but still manageable waves. Beds very comfortable, back yard and lanai lovely.

Our little cottage

Cute cottage with nice accommodations. Perfect location near Waimea Canyon and great for hikers. Quiet neighborhood. It was a little farther out of the way for us but still doable. We were disappointed that the gas grill propane tank was empty but we worked that out as well. Easy communication with proprietor. We enjoyed our stay. Mahalo

A Week in Paradise

This was our first trip to Kauai and on our last trip to Oahu we stayed in a VRBO and loved it, so thought we would try that here. We were not sure where the best location was to stay on the island, but decided on Kekaha and this property. Wow, what an excellent choice! This property is a great location if you want to stay away from the crowded east side of the island. We drove to Ha'ena State Park one day and it was so crowed and touristy feeling on that side of the island and we could not wait to get back to our quiet side! This property is an older restored house as the description states, but it was so nice! The back yard is like having your own Disney resort! We spent every evening on the back lanai just relaxing and enjoying the breeze and hot tub! There is a mango tree on the neighbors property, but it would drop 3 or 4 mangos a day in our yard and we would eat them every evening...so fresh and juicy! Then, the little lady next door even brought us some in a bag, but we could not eat them all! The neighborhood is kind of a mixed bag. Some houses are kind of in disrepair and others have been restored and are beautiful. We enjoyed the mix of people and would stay here again in a heartbeat! The ocean is just a block away and we would walk there to watch the sunset almost every evening. A beach to swim in is just a short drive down the road. The Kekaha beach was never very crowded and we enjoyed it more that some of the other big tourist beaches.
