Lovely historic cabin

Spacious cabin that was perfect for the whole family to enjoy some time together in the north woods. Great combination of boats and paddle boards for fishing and playing in the water.

Up North Experience

Beautiful historic log cabin with all the amenities you would want. The grounds are well kept and very scenic. The area is very peaceful, relaxing, and interesting. This is our second year coming to the Marcel Lodge and have had a fantastic experience both times.

A beautiful historic cabin with all the essentials. Extremely well stocked with kitchen tools and bedding. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Having the use of the boats was great. No issues. A 5 star rating!

Snowmobile Getaway

Beautiful and cozy place. Very clean and has everything you would need. Only negative thing is we all agreed upon is beds could be a little more comfortable. Definitely will stay again when in the area.

Annual Family Trip

We had another amazing stay! We’ve been coming for 5 years. Great campfire area, nice fishing boat, paddle boards, and kayaks. Private location is very nice.

Weekend family getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. There are many modern amenities within this historic building. The central air was key during our late July stay! The detail and craftsmanship of these old CCC buildings is breathtaking. Great beach and fire pit.

Beautiful spot

The cabin was wonderful. It was very clean, plenty of room, plenty of towels and supplies. Having a little beach to ourselves was amazing. The boat and dock were great. Every one of us said we have to come back.

Amazing!

We had a wonderful time. The lodge is beautiful! The view of the lake and the lake itself are amazing! The privacy was so nice and peaceful. We will definitely be coming back!!

Great accommodations. Everything you need is provided. Lovely historical cabin with hiking near by, fishing and water gactivities. Quiet peaceful property. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful property, loved the kayaks and paddle boards on-site. Easy to work with property manager. Has everything you need to make meals and the washer and dryer was a huge plus! Sleeping arrangements were great with lots of options.

Amazing!

The cabin was beautiful! So clean and well taken care of. We slept the best we had in years probably because it was so quiet, cool and dark! Everything was ready for us from the boat with fuel, to the fire pit and wood supply to the nicely stocked kitchen! Best vacation ever!

Classic Lake Time

The Lodge was lovely and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. We especially loved the use of the boat, kayaks, and paddleboards. Of course, it is remote, which for my family was the point, so get your provisions before you head to the Lodge. The Discovery Center staff was helpful as we planned activities like a hike to the Lost Forty. Overall, it was a wonderful and we hope to rent it again someday.

We love the Marcell Lodge

We had a wonderful stay at the Marcell Lodge! The lodge itself is historic, but wonderfully updated with many modern touches. The kitchen was great & fully stocked, and there were plenty of beds to spread out. The grounds are kept wonderfully manicured & the overall service from Tim & the team was exceptional (checking on us daily for fire wood & boat gas refills, handling quickly a couple small issues we had, etc.). Marcell itself is small, but the Pine Cone Cafe & Timberwolf Inn were both great places to grab a bite, and the Frontier Sports store offers just about everything (gas, bait, groceries, beer, ice cream, souvenirs, etc.). For more options, Bigfork is only about 10 mins north. Tons of great trails & lakes in the area. All in all 5/5 stars & we can't wait to come back!

Just what we needed!

The historical cabin we found out was a Ranger station in the 1930's. The cabin was well maintained and had I believe we mostly original features. We had plenty of room for everyone in the cabin. The kitchen had just about everything we needed. The filtered water in every sink was a nice feature. Our stay at this historical cabin was just what we needed. Beautiful pine trees swaying and sounded like whistling in the wind. We had nightly campfires. While sitting by the fire we could hear the loons on the lake and one night we heard wolves in the distance. The stars were abundant! We used the motor boat and paddle boat just about everyday. We would definitely come back!
