A little, lovely and romantic farmhouse between the artistic and natural beauties of Lazio and Umbria, in a very quiet place.
Two store built holiday-house with inside staircase, one double room plus bath, one living/dining room with a fireplace, kitchen, store room with washing machine and fridge, garden with a wooden porch.

The former farmhouse has been recently restored preserving original materials, design and structures. It is furnished with old country furniture: Equipped with independent heating, hot running water, washing machine, kitchen and kitchenware, gas cooker, oven, refrigerator, barbecue, towels, sheets and blankets which will be changed once a week.

Your attention please: the pool, shared with other guests, is in the middle of the property, about 1,5 km far from the house. It is linked by nice country paths and so you can reach the pool by car (3 minutes) or by foot.

Immersi nella Natura

La casa curata con tutte le comodità si trova in un angolo di paradiso dove l'unico rumore che ascolti è quello della natura . Viabilità non eccezionale ma una volta arrivati per incanto tutto diventa piacevole da ricordare.

wunderschöne Lage

ein sehr sehr schön gelegenes Häuschen, lang nicht gestrichen , dh die Terasse , Bad , Küche war sauber geputzt, aber alt & nicht einladend. wir haben Tisch & Stühle auf die Wiese gestellt , das war schön. Das kleine Grundstück war sehr gut eingezäunt, so dass der Hund frei laufen konnte. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war super schwierig. Erst auf meine 4. mail erhielt ich eine Antwort, telefonisch war bis eine Woche vor Anreise niemand erreichbar. Ebenfalls bei unserer späten Anreise war der Kontakt sehr kompliziert herzustellen. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Ferien, wir waren immer draußen , August ! , die Gegend ist herrlich, recht untouristisch , schöne Orte sind schnell erreichbar! Wenn das Häuschen besser gepflegt wäre, wäre es noch schöner !

Wonderful stay in lovely house on the hill.

Belvedere is a lovely old house on a remote hill. We enjoyed the complete silence tremendously as well as the gorgeous view. It is very homely and cosy, due to the old features and lovely furnishings and deco. The bedroom has a beautiful vaulted ceiling which keeps the room cool.The very charming owner couple assisted us in every way and showed us some other houses on the property, which are all lovely. The area of Orvieto is fantastic, so there is nothing that should keep you from vacationing in La Polverosa. We will definitely return.

location fantastica

La location di questo alloggio è fantastica, peccato sia difficile da raggiungere con un autovettura normale ( si consiglia fuoristrada), mancano tanti servizi, ma la vista sulla vallata, la pace e la tranquillità rendono questo particolare meno pesante. I proprietari sono davvero delle persone squisite, disponibili, accoglienti e versatili.

Delightful, remote, peaceful place for two with stunning views!

! This serenely rustic place may not be luxurious, but it is homely, quirky, cosy and quite well-equipped (the only modern convenience missing is a microwave). The shower room, (+ toilet & bidet) is next to the bedroom, and in the kitchen with oven, 2 burner gas hob & mini fridge is next to the living room. It is a one up, one down place but upside down with the barrel-arched and very comfy double bedroom under the living space and kitchen (this latter is a bit tiny but functional). In front of the bedroom is a glazed veranda where we breakfasted quite often because the view is glorious, rain or shine! The washing machine, main fridge and ironing board are in an external room under the stairs. The living space has a large fireplace, dining table, arm chairs and 24 (?) inch tv as well as a 30 plus books in at least 4 or 5 languages (including English, Italian, French and German) as well as some info about nearby attractions.

Oase der Ruhe

Nach einer sehr stressigen Zeit haben mein Mann und ich nach einem Ort der Ruhe gesucht und ihn in dem kleinen Häuschen bei Orvieto auch gefunden. Zu aller erst möchten wir die tolle Betreuung durch die Eigentümer-Familie hervorstellen. Schon vor der Anreise wurden alle nötigen Informationen zur Verfügung gestellt: Angefangen von einer brauchbaren Anreisebeschreibung bis zu Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung. Vor Ort hat uns Frau Struempf zu jeder Zeit telefonisch mit tollen Tipps beraten. Ihre Idee, Rom per Bahn von Orvieto aus als Tagestrip zu besuchen, war Gold Wert. Wir haben das Auto in Orvieto am Bahnhof abgestellt und sind für ca. 17€ pro Person und Strecke mit dem Zug innerhalb von 1 Stunde in Rom am Hauptbahnhof angekommen. Hat alles prima geklappt und wir haben den Tag in Rom sehr genossen. Es hat uns im Häuschen so gut gefallen das wir spontan ein paar Tage verlängert haben. Aber jetzt zum Haus. Es liegt wirklich total ruhig auf einer Anhöhe mit einem wunderschönen Blick in das Tal. Es gibt keine Nachbarn rechts und links, das Haus steht vollkommen alleine auf dem Grundstück. Auf der überdachten Terrasse haben wir oft Abends den Tag ausklingen lassen. Schade ist, dass es leider keine Abendsonne hat, die Sonne verschwindet um ca. 17 Uhr hinter dem Haus. In der unteren Etage befindet sich das Schlafzimmer mit einem sehr bequemen Bett. Obwohl das Haus über keine Klimaanlage verfügt, war es Abends nach dem Lüften angenehm kühl. Wir waren im Juli bei ca. 35 Grad dort und haben keine Nacht den Ventilator gebraucht. Vom Eingang aus links ist das kleine Bad. Es ist schon sehr rustikal aber es hat alles funktioniert, der Wasserdruck war gut und es war sauber. Käfer oder sonstige Insekten hatten wir keine im Haus. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich das Wohnzimmer und die Mini-Küche, hier war es schon deutlich wärmer und wir waren froh, dass das Schlafzimmer unten im Erdgeschoss lag. Die Küche ist vielleicht das einzige Manko des Hauses und wer gerne kocht wird sich hier etwas beengt fühlen:-) Bei 2 Personen in der Küche wird es schon "gemütlich" und man steht sich auf den Füssen. Aber um sich ein Frühstück zuzubereiten und Abends etwas Pasta oder Antipasti zu machen reicht es allemal. Gläser, Besteck, Geschirr, Flaschenöffner etc. alles vorhanden. Warm, Cosy

The house is very cosy. We missed ten shade, it was very warm in and around the house. The spot is very private. The pool is lovely. A lot of bugs this year. We had some in the bed. The owner was ok. The equipment was good in a small kitchen. Only one fan was not enough.
