「ポピー」は、ヒントンブリュエットの保護地域にある所有者の所有地にある、新しく改装された石造りのコテージです。 コテージは、開かれた田園地帯の景色を望み、環境を考慮して慎重に修復されました。 宿泊客から高い評価を得ている村のパブまで簡単に歩いて行くことができます。 チューバレー湖は車で10分で、バードウォッチング、ウォーキング、釣りを楽しむことができます。 ザソルトアンドモルトは受賞歴のあるフィッシュアンドチップスレストランです。
宿泊施設には、2つのベッドルームがあります。スーパーキングサイズのベッドを備えたメインベッドルームは、リクエストに応じてツインベッドに、ダブルベッド1台に変換できます。 バスルーム：シャワー、ロールトップバス、トイレ付き。 1階に独立したトイレ。 敷石の床（および敷物）、ソファ、アームチェアのある応接間には、暖炉、wood、スマートテレビが備わっています。 キッチン（手作りの木製ユニット付き）/ dinerには、敷石床、電気オーブン、冷蔵庫/冷凍庫、電子レンジがあります。 洗濯機と電動エアラーを備えたユーティリティルームがあります。 外には、コテージの前に舗装された座席エリア、花壇、午後の日差しを浴びるコーナーのベンチがある砂利の中庭があります。 アメニティ：中庭に2台の車を駐車。

Lovely cottage, very homely, clean and tidy. The beds were extremely comfortable. Had everything we needed for a enjoyable stay and was very cosy once the log burner was lit in the evenings.

This is a wonderful cottage with everything we needed and a bed so comfortable that my wife wants one just the same. A great location for seeing the area and Judith was the most welcoming host. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area and recommended the cottage unreservedly.

Cozy, comfortable ecofriendly cottage in a country setting. Our host, Judith, was great...very helpful with ideas on activities. I appreciated the ecofriendly nature of the property with energy saving aspects like an air sourced heat pump and heated drying rack versus a machine.

We loved our time at Poppies, the cottage and surrounding area were enchanting. We were time poor but there was plenty for us to enjoy including Bath and Cotswolds and the cottage area. Poppies is a very beautiful, cosy cottage and has everything you need for a holiday in a holiday home. Judith is very kind and made sure that we felt welcome and comfortable from the very first day. The cottage is in a quiet rural location and Hinton Blewett is a charming village. There are many great places of interest nearby, such as Cheddar Caves, Glastonbury with its impressive abbey ruins, beautiful Bath and Wells with its impressive cathedral.

The cottage’s restoration is beautiful. One of the days was chilly and blustery and there wasn’t a single draft. I never had to adjust the temperature.I found the king bed to be hard and lumpy and there were cobwebs throughout that could be dusted away. The shower has good pressure and hot water. The pub is a short walk away.

Lovely cottage with a special treat of flycatcher birds nest just outside the door. We were lucky enough to see 3 chicks take their first flights. Judith was a very welcoming host and would recommend.

The cottage is just perfect. Great location and it is kept to an amazingly high standard Judith was great with information when requested and also forwarding local amenities. We had an amazing 4 days and the cottage was central to our good time.

Charming, Cozy, Country Cottage

Was our four week home away from home, and we found the cottage to be perfect for an extended stay. Idyllic setting and truly exceptional host. This was a great base to explore Southwest England, and to simply enjoy the peace and quiet of the English countryside.

Fantastic holiday

We recived a warm welcome from our host Judith and were delighted with the accommodation. The cottage was just as described, comfy and beautifully equipped. There was so much to do in the local area our particular favourites were a tour of the Bath Soft Cheese Company and a fascinating visit to Shepton Mallet prison!

The owners meet us there with the fire on and we’re very helpful. Lovely location we went to the Christmas market in Bath and walking enjoying a meal at the litton which was nice

I am a qualified languages teacher, but began my career in broadcasting at the BBC and BFBS. I'm really enjoying my state of semi-retirement which has enabled me to pursue my many interests, not least walking and bird watching. I love living in the Chew Valley which has so much to offer and I look forward to sharing its delights with my guests. While it is situated in beautiful countryside, it is within easy reach of Bristol, Bath and Wells. The former are particularly good for lovers of history, theatre, cinema and art. My two grown-up sons also enjoy coming home to the peace and quiet of the Chew Valley.

I moved to the Chew Valley from London with my family thirty years ago and I have never regretted doing so. Greenway Cottage was an empty shell and Poppies was derelict when we came here. I began work on renovating Poppies in 2011, slowly restoring it and finally finishing furnishing it in 2016. A lot of love and attention to detail has gone into this work, and I hope you will love it as much as I do. I care passionately about the natural world and the environment, so Poppies has been restored with this in mind. It is equipped with solar thermal and photovoltaic panels (discreetly situated on the field facing side of the roof) .Hating is provided by an air source heat pump. Both properties have original circular stone staircases, though the one in Poppies is purely decorative and now serves as a bookshelf. It is an ideal situation: very rural and yet so close to centres of culture and shops! Despite its rural location, it is very accessible, by car at least. Sadly public transport is very limited.

The unique benefits are: peace and quiet with lovely views and a network of public footpaths on the doorstep and yet so close to Wells, Bath, Cheddar, Bristol, Glastonbury and many other places of interest. You can walk to the village pub which has great views and serves excellent food.
There are so many interesting places nearby, not least Holt Farm, the home of Yeo Valley, producers of organic dairy products. They have a fabulous garden which is open to visitors on certain days and an amazing workers canteen which is now open to the public for lunch (booking in advance essential) or coffee. Camely Lodge is twenty minutes away on foot and there are two farm shops with restaurants and cafes if you are up for a longer walk! Farrington Farm also offers a host of activities for children. Chew Valley Lake is 5 minutes drive away.
