July 4th Fun

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did not have hot water for the first 24 hours. Traveling with 4 woman you can imagine that was not fun for us and we missed our reservations for a nice dinner on night one. But we were provided 2 pizzas far from satisfying.otherwise the trip was pleasant.

1008 Surf Master

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The process was easy and the location was perfect. The furniture was a bit worn, 3 grey felt chairs has damaged legs; we couldn't use them. The dresser in the room with 2 beds has broken draws and the veneer on the night table was cracking.

Should have been unrentable

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed in this condo. I had rented 3 different condos within 2 weeks and the only nice thing for 1008 was the balcony view. There was food on dining room floor. The master bdr bathroom toilet was nor secured to the floor. Framed pictures were literally falling apart the bedroom doors were in need of big time repairs. I had to wash every glass/cup/dish/silverware/pans/ before I would use any. That condo should have been off the market. Being the week of July 4th, the price about doubled. Last but not least, I never received a notice that it was ready for check-in. Thank goodness the other rental 1010 was ready at 4. If it wasnt for my daughter saying (at 6:00 pm) let's go see if someone is still in there, I'd still be waiting to check in.

MB Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Garden City Really was AMAZING!! They were constantly in touch to let us know about the aftermath of Hurricane Ian and the impact to our holiday. The condo itself was a bit disappointing. It is very dated; furniture was uncomfortable and some needed fixing (several dining room chairs). The furniture is well worn. We are all for comfy and cozy but this missed the mark. And the dolls in the bedroom display case need to go.For a week it would be fine as you aren’t in the condo that much but for an extended stay you need comfort.

Not the visit we expected

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What we hoped to be a great visit turned out to be a terrible disappointment. We initially had reservations for 311 Ocean Cove and arrived to find the condo filthy and full of bugs that were both alive and dead. We called and were moved to a unit we were assured that we would love. That could not have been furthest from the truth. The furnishings were completely outdated. The kitchen supplies were old and broken which made it impossible to feed our large family dinners in the condo. The balcony collected water every evening and the windows fogged every day. We have visited this beach and used Garden City Realty for most of our visits and after this year we will never again use their services and will be visiting a different location next year. It was sad. In an already dismal year, this trip was anything but enjoyable.

Balcony saves the day!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the balcony for this unit was superb. Situated on a corner, we had full view of the beach, the ocean, and all of the buildings leading up to the many piers on both sides. In addition, the breeze coming from the side was lovely, making it enjoyable to sit outside almost anytime of day. Unfortunately, that was the only piece we really enjoyed. The unit itself needs lots of updates and deep cleaning. TVs in every room, but you can’t watch anything on them, rust taking over the dryer, and you have to dry everything twice just to get it done. Lots of repainting and redecorating are needed. I would love to be able to help redecorate this place! It has so much potential, just really needs some love to bring it up-to-date.

A wreck in need of a complete gut job!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place wasn’t not cleaned at all. The beds were made. They stopped there! Floors, counters, and windows filthy. We had dirty towels left under our sink cabinets. I stepped on glass left all over the bedroom floor, old rusted fish hook on mat of balcony patio you step over to get outside. Wall in bathroom not even attached and loose. Toilet seat not attached, uncomfortable old beds and sleeper sofa, sand under rug hadn’t been swept in ages, all furniture was over 40-50 years old and soooo nasty. Porcelain dolls with broken ankles and doll heads on display in cabinet. The decor was nuts and bolts , broken window blinds that didn’t work, everything was sticky and gross. Beds were very uncomfortable and pillows were terrible. Pepsi can left in the room, I called maintenance option walking in. Lady was nice on the phone. They never showed the whole week! Outdoor chairs were cheap and cracked as well. They have the unit for sale clearly ASIS. They are ripping off people getting full rent for it until they sell. Needs complete gut job. It felt so dirty to even sit down on anything! The carpets were stick, stained and right inside the main bedroom the carpet was soaked for 3-4 full days!!! No idea why?!?! Do not stay in this unit. The location and view is great! That’s where it ends!!! Luckily the glass didn’t fully pierce my skin as I stepped on it and jerked my foot up fast! The glass and hook could have caused the week to start in the ER. Not safe for kids or adults until it’s cleaned and fixed. This unit shouldn’t be allowed to be rented out in the current condition.

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I have stayed at the Surf Master many times and this is the worst unit we have ever rented. If you want to open/close or raise/lower the blinds none of them work properly and they look as if they are falling apart. Some of the doors are damaged so badly and need replacing or repairing. The "leather" chair and stools are cracked so bad, and the couches are uncomfortable. The lint filter in the dryer falls out and small articles of clothing can fall into the open space. Some sort of black substance is in the bathtub and wallpaper peeling off the walls in the primary bathroom. One of the TVs does not work, and we were told the owner of the property did not return phone call when contacted for help in dealing with cable company. No TV for the week. It seems the owner has no interest in maintaining their unit. This experience will not keep us from coming back because over all Garden City Realty is a great company to work with, but I wonder if this unit has been inspected recently to see if it meets their standards. We will not rent this unit again

Beautiful view

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo has one of the most beautiful views of the Atlantic ocean however the condo is very run down and in need of replacement of many "things" within the condo. The increase in price does not warrant the comfort of the condo unless renovations and replacements are going to be done. But the view is beautiful. Garden City Realty is excellent to work with. Surfmaster is a beautiful condo complex. I would recommend Surfmaster and Garden City Realty to everyone however I do not recommend this unit.

Flawless stay at Surf Master

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good communication from management; easy in, easy out. Clean. Well maintained. Master bedroom and living room had the view of a ship at sea: all sky and water. Two of three bedrooms were dark with small windows and no good view. I loved having laundry facilities. The building sits too close to the beach, so little in the way of attractive dunes.

Garden City Vacation 8/12-19/23

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is a Ten. Unfortunately the property was not clean. The master B/room furniture was tattered and worned. The patio door's should have a sign to step-up over the threshold almost damage my foot. The living room sofa are very uncomforable. Not able to set for long caused my back to hurt.

Surf Master 1008

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time and the weather was beautiful. I do believe that the condo does need some TLC. The stools for the kitchen bar are in bad shape. The toaster should be replaced (had time to leave, grab toast from waffle house and get back before toast was done), Alarm clock in master doesn't work, bathroom vent fan needs cleaning. Window vertical blinds are missing slats and are very difficult to operate. We did stay in the same condo 1 year ago and it was much nicer. The master comforter should be replaced, very soiled. Garden City Reality is a great company to work with and I don't think 1008 is up to their standards.

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting from you all 3 times a year for 3 or 4 years and this is the first time we were disappointed with our rental. The unit needs updating. The living room furniture very uncomfortable. The mattresses are need replaced. That's just to name a couple of things. We come on vacation to be comfortable and relax. If this were the only unit available to rent, we would rather stay at home. I would not recommend this unit to anyone. However we have no issues with the Garden City Realty team, you guys are great as usual. Just not happy with unit 1008.

Spring Break Blast

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was a great fit for me and my family of 7. Great amenities and location. The only thing I would say was a little disappointing was the lack of baking sheets and extremely old pot holders. We had to buy new ones to get items out of the oven.

Nice place, kitchen could be better equipped, great view and beds

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very relaxing however cut 2 days due to IAN. Would definitely stay here again. The view was fantastic. The beds were very comfortable. The bad was that the ice maker did not work and that’s all. Everything else was great. We were very happy that we were able to book this place with only a couple hours notice due to the place we originally were booked at was a dump. When you view pictures of the place, you can believe what you see when renting from Garden City Reality. Thank you for being the best with great people representing your company!

THE OTHER SIDE, IN REVIEW

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Having just sold my unit here at the SurfMaster, I wanted to stay another 2 months. I quickly found out that I got into a very dated, very ill equipped unit. For the pricing of Feb and March, along with the building refurbishment going on, it is absolutely fleecing the renters !
