Ocean Vibes in Comfort

We stayed a week and Valerie was very attentive to questions. The condo building was quiet, the balconies have great views and everything is provided for a day at the beach in the lockers conveniently located on lower level. Honestly, everything we needed was there and we brought our own linens. Great restaurants nearby and a hop, skip and jump to Delaware. We would definitely stay again.

Great location and amenities!

We loved our stay and HPS is a great place to stay. Nice pools, the penthouse had beach items to share and the views are amazing. It was like waking up on the beach in your own condo every morning. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive!

Great views, wonderful host!

Everything was as she said it would be! I liked the convenience of the beach locker being right by our private parking and the elevator then straight out to the beach! About a 10-15 minute drive to the boardwalk, but no biggie. Had a great time all around. Plenty to do for my teenagers and husband and I. Liked the convenience of the stores across the rd as well. Would definitely come again!

Relaxing Penthouse

Stay was great. Weather turned on us a little at the end of the week so we didn’t get to utilize the beach or pool but it was still nice to get away. Cleaning crew needs to clean ceiling fans.

Great location! Amazing view! The unit was clean, everything was where the owner said it would be. Having a washer/dryer in the actual unit was a nice surprise and super convenient! We loved the private parking spot, the beach locker, private pool/beach entrance. Our only complaints about our stay, has really nothing to do with the owner or unit itself, but I feel the need to comment. The building seems to be on the older side and has a musty smell when you walk out the door, as well as in the trash room. You will also wait for what feels like forever, for elevators! Lastly, the pool closes 1-2 hours earlier than the other pools next to HPS, so that was kind of lame. Otherwise, this unit was perfect for our family and we would absolutely stay here again!!

Feels like home!

Everything clean , neat, and well cared for. We had a small problem with the door code but Valerie was immediately available to resolve it. Location: fabulous. Parking beneath the building super convenient next to beach closet and elevator so loading and unloading was a dream. 2 small issues. Compressor in king room is super noisy when it kicks in. Worked ok but probably needs some attention. Also the door to the toy closet on the lobby level has come off it’s hinges. Coming back next year!

Over priced and under delivered...just missed the mark unfortunately.

Kitchen was not as well stocked as described and the few items that were there were all dirty. Pans still had bacon grease and plates, bowls and silverware still had food stuck to them. There wasn't much silverware to choose from. Knives were all dull, dirty and had broken handles which is dangerous and useless. TV in primary bedroom didn't work, although owner replacement mid week. Then the A/C in the primary stopped working a couple days before the end of our trip, unfortunate. Overpriced for such little amenities offered/available. Couldn't even offer aome bedding. Ceiling fans and small fans in bedrooms were very dusty and dirty. Light bulbs in 2nd bedroom and bathroom were out and beds were noisy, and a couple chairs in the dinning room were very wobbly and loose upon arrival. Could definitely be much better...definitely cleaner...for the cost. Otherwise, great overall location in North OC, decent building. We have always stayed in this area of OC and still had a good time, just wouldn't be staying in this unit again unfortunately. There potential but just came up short for us this time unfortunately. On the plus side, owner does communicate well. Thanks!

Hi Jose, Thanks for the feedback. I wish you would have notified me about the cleanliness. I could have sent a cleaning crew over immediately to remedy that situation. As soon as I was informed about the AC unit acting up, it was fixed in an hour. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Filthy and not maintained at all

Windows had to be held open with sticks, toilet seat cracked in half and had to be replaced, kitchen cabinets and stove top were filthy and the oven needed to be cleaned, upholstered furniture was in bad shape was sticky and dirty, sliding glass doors in every room were jammed (I finally fixed them myself), sleep sofa in living room not usable unless you like sleeping on springs, beach storage room door was missing all hinges and fell on me when I opened it, second bedroom bathroom door panels were separating from door and nails were sticking out (safety hazard), bathroom floors were filthy, window air conditioner units were all extremely noisy, took 2 people to open sliding glass door to porch (I scraped sand and debris from the track and spayed it with Pam so that one person could open it with difficulty). Total time I spent repairing things myself and waiting for their maintenance people was about 9 hrs. This is unacceptable. Excellent location and view. We have been renting condos at OCMD for 10-15 years now and we were extremely disappointed in this condo. The owner needs to inspect the condition of this property. This was the first, and probably the last time, that we will use Vrbo.

I'm glad you thought the location and view were excellent. Unfortunately, you arrived right after a hurricane and I apologize that you were disappointed. The toilet seat, windows and door have since been replaced. I took care of these items immediately upon notification. You were not required to wait for maintenance as they had their own access to the unit. I'm sorry you feel like you were required to wait. I wish you would have notified me that the cleaning was not up to par, I would have sent cleaners out immediately to remedy the situation. I have not had one complaint about cleaning or the air conditioning all summer. In my experience, a sofa bed is a sofa bed. We do provide a foam pad for overtop of the mattress for extra comfort. Perhaps you didn't realize it was there? We don't have any upholstered furniture.

Disappointed in cleanliness

Overall the property was ok. The location was great, right on the beach with a great view. We got into the unit and noticed it wasn’t that clean. We found sand, dirt and toenail/nail clippings underneath comforter in the master bed that we took off. Also, found food crumbs in the second bedroom with wrappers. Many stains on carpets and mold growing in the hallway shower in multiple areas. The property owner did offer to re send the cleaning service out but by the time we heard back I had already taken care of something’s myself in order for my family to be comfortable. Not something I planned on doing on vacation. The unit air conditioners need a good cleaning as well, you can clearly see dust/dirt coming out of the vents on them. The one in the kitchen has an odor coming out of it which we didn’t use at all due to this. Overall the place needs a good deep clean, from ceiling to floor and some maintenance. During check in I had to ask what unit # it was to the owner as that information wasn’t given, only the door code. Some of the information about parking and the beach locker wasn’t correct either. We were under the impression that we could store out beach stuff in the locker but once we got to the locker it was jammed pack with stuff. The parking we were told was on the first floor but it is actually located on the ground level right outside the entrance. We wouldn’t stay in this particular unit again, however we would stay in the building again. Access to the beach was great and location.

Great visit

Came to Ocean City for a quick trip with the family for a few days, had a great time. Easy access to the beach, very few people at the pool the entire trip. Our host was very responsive with anything we needed, looking forward to booking again.

Beautiful Place right on the beach!

From the start, the process to rent this condo was very easy. The owner is attentive and timely. The condo has everything you need including beach gear. The view is stunning. You can see the sunrise and the sunset from the balconies. The kitchen was fully equipped. The beds were comfy. The location is great - everything in walking distance. The pool is private and has lounge chairs and umbrellas. I was slightly worried from some of the other reviews but I would recommend this! The condo was clean and in great working order. Enjoy!

This is only a two bedroom. It is fraudulent in saying it has a den. It was dirty.

There is a broken chair in the dining area. I put it under the stairs for safe keeping. The light over the table is not functioning. There was only a four cup coffee maker. This unit is filthy. Short curly hairs in shower and baths.There are crumbs all over the kitchen chairs and floors. All the floors are dirty excluding the carpets which had been vacuumed. All counters, sinks and tubs were dirty. We found dirty clothing, filthy dish towel and dish cloth in the unit. Dirty clothing found even stuffed in with dishes. There is barely a trickle of water coming from the upstairs hall bathroom shower. In fact, there is an issue with all water pressure. The air conditioner in the king size bedroom is cooling minimally. The fan in the king bedroom is dangerous. The king bed is badly in need of replacement. The heat was on in all the rooms. I shut them off. The owner misrepresented this unit as one with a den. A den is a separate space away from the main living area. The people in this building were friendly. That, the view and the beach were the only redeeming quality.

Sufficent, but needs some work

This condo has SO much potential. However, there was no water pressure (could only use one shower at a time) and most of the closet doors need fixed and were difficult to open/close. Also, the refrigerator is very rusted and the beach locker is almost impossible to open because the door knob is rusted. The mattress on the pullout couch was extremely uncomfortable and there were cigarettes and dirt underneath the mattress which was pretty gross. This condo definitely needs some TLC to be great, but overall it was sufficent for the week that we were there.

So disappointing!!

Sorry to say...it was truly disappointing. I have never stayed in a condo or penthouse before so I didn't know you needed to take your own sheets, towels and washcloths, etc.. I was suppose to receive an email informing me of these details but I never received one. We spent our first whole evening trying to find the above linens I mentioned and cleaning. We finally get those details worked out to find the sheets didn't fit over a 3" mattress foam that was placed on top of the master king size bed. WHY is there a piece of foam on top of a mattress????? I had to scrub toilets and sinks before letting my kids and ourselves use them. The refrigerator froze our food, the sliding glass door was so heavy we could barely open it, no lock or curtains on the sliding glass door to keep the sun out or for privacy, hair dryer and pot and pans handles were sticky and disgusting we wouldn't use them, front door knob was jamming up and my husband was the only person who could open the door until it loosened up after 3-4 days, balcony off the master bedroom was beyond disgusting and not safe (no deadbolts or chains), sliding glass screen door came off the track and we had to fix it, balcony rug was laying on the outside balcony table where people eat, the drain in the bathroom tub was clogged and I had to clean out the drain for it to drain half way decent. We paid a good amount of money for this penthouse and had to pay a fee to park and a cleaning fee and the place wasnt very clean when we arrived. We now make jokes about our experience but at the time, We were NOT happy vacationers. I do have to say, the owner was very helpful with the situations she was aware of and its a beautiful view and a nice pool. It COULD be a very cute and nice place to stay with some TLC.

Beautiful, clean, convenient!

One of the nicest condos I've rented in OC! We had some questions, and the owner responded in less than a minute. It's a beautiful property, and has great views to the ocean from multiple balconies. Very impressed!

A+ Stay

I rented this condo for a couples weekend over the New Year's Holiday. The location is second to none, with several stores, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. There is also easy access to public transportation for a quick trip to the boardwalk or any of the famous restaurants and night clubs (Seacrets, etc..). The views are outstanding, with the sunrise over the ocean in the morning and the sunset over the bay in the afternoon. I think this unit would also be outstanding for a summer trip with the family as the two floors provide plenty of space and privacy. The space was well kept and clean. I will definitely return!

Dirty and Outdated Penthouse!!

This is by far the dirtiest rental we have ever stayed in! I only wish that I could attach the photos of filthiness that I took to this review. I just don't understand how so many other reviewers have not mentioned this? The abundance of hair (gross) that I pulled from the shower stall was just unacceptable, so glad that i brought my own shower floor mat! I should not have had to spend my entire first day of vacay cleaning a very expensive rental. And my 70 year old mother should not have had to flip her single bed mattress over due to holes and general nastiness of the mattress. I would not let my kids walk around barefoot in this rental (socks at all times), that is how dirty the floors were, carpets probably have never been steam cleaned. Safety issues - mold in the AC units (smells terrible) and our sliding glass balcony door DID NOT LOCK! This is a serious issue for those of us with young children, who get up before the rest of us! I contacted the owner re: sending out a locksmith to fix the door asap and heard nothing back. Very disappointing to say the least. Unfortunately the owner, Valerie, was unresponsive to our requests and does not seem concerned about the keeping up of her rental. So if you are like me and want to enjoy your vacation at a clean rental and not wanting to spend time having to clean it yourself then this is NOT the place for you. The only group that I would recommend this property to is Beach Week goers/teenagers as they don't care where they stay just as long as they can party it up. Not ideal for a family at all! I will say that the one good thing about this rental is the location & view, also nice that it has 2 levels. BUT.. for me the cleanliness issues and safety concerns outweigh, so needless to say we will not be coming back!

When you checked in, the cleaner had not arrived. You took a $100 cleaning credit because you didn't want to wait for the cleaner to arrive, which was your choice. I'm sorry you didn't feel I was responsive enough, as most of my guests would say the opposite. We don't have any single beds in the condo. The Pella sliding door locks and is not broken, you just have to understand how to lock it.

There are many positive things to say about this property. It has many personal touches that make it very homey. Obviously an owner who cares. Unfortunately, whoever cleans the unit between rentals doesn't care as much. Everything was very dusty and the unit had clearly not had a thorough cleaning in awhile. I spent the first couple of days cleaning to get things to my standard(which is nit that high). That said, we enjoyed the two levels. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was plenty so space in the unit. The unit's located right next to the elevator which was quite convenient. A little bit of tender loving care would raise the rating to a 5 star. I plan to return next year and hope the owner takes care of the things I mentioned to her. By the way, she was extremely nice and easy to deal with.

Hot Rod Weekend

We stayed with friends here for 4 nights...loved the place, very convenient, directly across from Gold Coast Mall. It was very comfortable and welcoming. Beautiful views of the ocean and bay from high up. Highly recommended for a nice relaxing get-away. All the amenities were great, especially that oceanfront view...overlooking the ocean as well as 3 inground pools. Private and safe. Owners were helpful. Would stay again, and would recommend to friends.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is by far my favorite rental property! From family vacations to girls weekends....so much space. Best view of the ocean! Close to absolutely everything....taking kids to boardwalk or having a nite out at Seacrets....I actually have it booked already. It's very clean and well taken care of.

My favorite place to stay in OCMD!

I've rented this condo so many times over the years. Perfect location! The beach is right there, groceries across the street (liquor store too). The condo is nice, neat and clean. Great open living room / kitchen with an unbeatable view. It has hosted my family for long weekends, and has been the perfect spot for a girls' weekend away with my friends. You can't beat this spot for its price and location. Easy access to all the hotspots & venues, but far enough away to enjoy the day on the beach without seeming crowded. Love this spot. We'll be back again this year! (my kids want to make sure I tell you about the awesome beachside pool!)
