We love this area of Nags Head, it has that quiet, neighborhood feel. The location is perfect. It's two blocks to the beach, and one block to the grocery store. (Food Lion) It's close to the Nags Head bike path, and we enjoy riding our bikes as often as we can. There is a beach rental shop a mile north of us for anyone interested in renting bikes, kayaks, etc, anything you would need. My husband can enjoy fishing from the shore, or from the Nags Head Pier which is a mile south. He can golf at the many golf courses in the area. I can walk to the galleries and quaint shops. Sea Green Gallery is a favorite, along with Something Fishy. Gallery Row is also a few blocks away. There are some very good restaurants that are within walking distance also, one of our favorites is the Red Drum Tap House. Tortugas Lie is located nearby, and Lucky 12 Sports Bar is 1.5 miles away. A coffee shop is right up the street offering flavored coffees, cappuccinos, and pastries. Everything is within close proximity but it doesn't feel crowded. Directly across the street is a wooded area allowing privacy and not giving you the feeling of 'living in a fish bowl'. Honestly, the location can't be beat, no busy highways to cross, no traffic to fight. You wouldn't have to move your car once parked. The new Dowdy Park is just two blocks away, there you will find a great playground for the kids, and enjoy family friendly events all summer long. Take time to walk around the neighborhood, and enjoy all that Nags Head has to offer!
