alloggio semplice ma molto confortevole,pulito,silenzioso e in posizione perfetta per apprezzare la vita del paese.ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio. violetta la padrona di casa è stata gentilissima e molto disponibile ( ci aiutato addirittura a portare i bagagli in casa). lo consiglio vivamente a chi piace questo tipo di vacanza e a chi cerca la pace della natura.

Wir hatten schöne 5 Tage in Montefegatesi. Das Dorf ist klein und gastfreundlich. Für unsere Kinder wurden auf der Piazza eine Tischtennisplatte und ein Kicker aufgestellt. Es gibt einen kleinen Laden und ein Café/ Restaurant und frisches Brunnenwasser. Rund um das Dorf gibt es Wanderwege unterschiedlicher Länge, die durch die vielen Maronenhaine führen.Das Haus von Violetta ist klein und einfach, aber alles was man benötigt (und noch etwas mehr - u.a. Föhn, Toaster, Grill) gibt es dort. Die Lage ist optimal, um die Toskanischen Berge, Grotten, Schluchten oder die Städte Lucca und Pisa und das Meer zu besuchen. Als Startpunkt für all dies liegt das Haus günstig gelegen, wenn einen die Serpentinen nicht abschrecken. Wir haben einen Mercedes Bus und hatten keine Schwierigkeiten auf allen 3 Zufahrtsstraßen.Violetta war sehr freundlich und hat auf uns gewartet, obwohl wir uns verspätet hatten. Bei Fragen steht sie immer zur Verfügung und war auch zu unserer kleinen Hündin super freundlich. Wir können das Haus und die Gastgeberin nur empfehlen!

This place is a gem. Property manager was the kindest couple ever. If you want to experience real life as an Italian the. Book this place. We were a little worried at first because it is very remote and the drive takes some getting used to and adds 30minutes to get to the bottom of the mountain and adds about an hour to any trips you take during the day, but don’t let that discourage you. We felt like we were part of the community and it was amazing. People were warm and welcoming. No air conditioning but that is absolutely not an issue, we were there during a heatwave in July 2025 and we never got hot or uncomfortable because you are on the top of a mountain with cool air. The roads take some getting used to because they are narrow and in many places only one car can fit, but the roads are paved and maintained very well. Parking is about 300 meters from the apartment but it’s a pleasant walk and not an issue, I only mention this in case you have difficulty walking or getting around. Lucca and the surrounding area are the best.

Séjour agréable dans un très joli village en pleine nature

Nous avons passé un très chouette séjour dans ce logement. Notre hôte nous a réservé un bel accueil, le village est très joli, calme et en pleine nature, l'endroit est vraiment très beau!.Nous pouvons juste souligner le fait que ce village est haut perché, on y accède par une route en pleine montagne. L'accès n'est donc pas facile! Entre Bagni di lucca et Montefegatesi il faut compter environ 40 minutes de route étroite et très sinueuse.

Cozy but isolated

We were there in the fall. The apartment is cozy and rustic. The wood stove for heating makes the living room/kitchen a warm place to stay. For relaxed and cozy rainy days, the apartment unfortunately lacks a couch, because there are only wooden chairs in the apartment except for an armchair. Otherwise, the apartment is clean and is located on the bottom floor, which is why you only have large windows in the bedroom the apartment otherwise looks more like a cellar with its small windows. If you want to completely switch off and discover nature, the apartment is just right. For us, however, the description of Bagni di Lucca was a little misleading, as the apartment is located in a remote mountain village about 20 minutes' drive away on a winding mountain road. On nice days you have a great view from the small balcony in the picturesque old mountain village.

Beautiful holiday in a mountain village

It is so incredibly quiet and beautiful in Montefegatesi! The flat is a little bit small for 5 people, but cosy and everything you needed is there! Violetta and her husband are very helpful and have good tips on what you can explore in the neighbourhood - of course the canyon and the reservoir if Orrido Di Botri where our favourites. All in all, we love Montefegatesi with it’s small café, shop and fountain with fresh drinking water in the centre of the village.

Un piccolo delizioso paese in mezzo al verde. Panorami e scorci bellissimi ad ogni passo. Possibilità di semplici passeggiate o trekking più impegnativi. Una vera oasi di pace per chi come me vive nel degrado e nel caos delle città. Casa come da descrizione e proprietaria veramente gentile e disponibile.

Montefegatesi è un piccolo paese, ma molto vivo durante l'estate! Abbiamo potuto fare bellissime camminate in montagna nei dintorni. Casa carina e funzionale.

Amazing view!

Loved our stay here. Road to Montefegatesi was long, winding, and narrow, but we managed ok with our Ford Puma. Word of warning..don't follow Google maps when leaving village. We went down a road meant only for foot traffic, but many locals helped us get backed out. Home was really clean and well equipped. Our hostess left us a nice bowl on fruit and package of fruit filled rolls that were very good. When traveling, add 20 minutes to the google ETA as it is not possible to go fast up or down the mountain. The views were amazing. The natural AC and dead quiet made for perfect sleeping for me. The natural water spring in the town center had amazingly tasting water. We highly recommend this rental, but the drive up, and walking about is not for the faint of heart. We would definitely do it again!

Casa ok ma..

Casa in un piccolo paesino , il problema è che si trova abbastanza distante dal centro di Lucca e anche bagni di Lucca tra l’altro Wind , Vodafone e altre compagnie a parte tim non prendono , non hanno il pos per pagare insomma un po’ fuori dal mondo , va bene per chi non ha impegni lavorativi e non ha bisogno di internet , casa estremamente umida e fredda anche d’estate .

Perfection

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la petite maison de Violetta, qui était très bien entretenue et fonctionnelle. Le petit jardin était très agréable pour manger le matin ou le soir avec cette vue sur les Apennins qui était splendide. Violetta est une hôte très charmante, disponible et prévenante. Nous ne pouvons pas assez la remercier pour son accueil tellement chaleureux. Le village de Montefegatesi est très mignon, et typique de la Toscane. Si vous avez besoin de déconnexion, c'est ici que vous pouvez le faire ! N'hésitez pas à aller vous balader dans les hauteurs du village pour suivre les traces de Dante et le retrouver sur une place entourée d'une vue panoramique sur les montagnes ! En ce qui concerne la mobilité, la voiture est indispensable. Des nombreuses petites villes sont à voir comme Lucques, mais aussi Florence qui est à 2h de routes. La mer est aussi à 1h30 de route. Encore merci pour ce beau séjour Violetta :)

Incroyable !

Superbes vacances dans une région magnifique ! Violeta est adorable et aux petits soins pour ses hôtes. Nous avons trouvé un délicieux gâteaux à notre arrivée et elle a aussi gâté nos enfants à notre départ. Un accueil chaleureux et un village incroyable perché dans les montagnes. Nous recommandons fortement cette adresse pour une jolie parenthèse enchantée... Merci encore !

Old Time Apartment and Location

although the apartment is too old and not renovated but it is very clean, simple and give you familiar feeling, the location for the apartment is very attractive and you can do a lot of thing in this corner from Toskana, but 30 minute must be calculated till finish the berg road. the mattress was not comfort for us, there is no Wifi in the apartment and no Mobile Signal. the host is very kindly, friendly and helpful, Thanks

Au cœur la nature

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce magnifique petit village Toscan niché au cœur de la nature. Nous avons été surpris de constater à quel point le village est vivant, compte-tenu de sa taille. Le logement était très propre et très bien équipé. Il est situé à proximité du centre du village ( épicerie, bar/ restaurant) et du départ des randonnées. C’était très agréable de tout pouvoir faire à pied. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Per chi ama la semplicità

Un'appartamento semplice, con tutto quello che serve per una vacanza in un paesino ospitale. Camere con vista veramente fresche. Piccolo giardino con barbecue piacevole soprattutto di sera. Possibilità di passeggiate nei dintorni. Da non perdere l'orrido di Botri.

Beautiful mountain village

The property is beautifully situated in a small mountain village. The accommodation is very clean and functionally furnished, it has everything you need. The fact that there is no Wi-Fi available would not be a problem, unfortunately the reception via mobile provider is also relatively weak. However, we enjoyed the mostly mobile phone-free time. There is a small shop in the village, which was absolutely sufficient for our needs. Otherwise, there is a small restaurant with very nice hosts. The village itself is a jewel. However, if you want to explore Tuscany and don't have as much time (as we did), the distances are quite long. However, this also has the advantage that you think carefully about whether and where you want to go...In any case, we enjoyed our time very much and were very happy about Violetta's warm hospitality!

Wundervolles Bergdorf

Wir waren 3 Nächte bei Violetta in Montefogatesi. Sie hat uns herzlich empfangen und uns das Dorf vorgestellt. Empfang ist in der Höhe nicht, aber in der Café / Bar gibt es WLAN. Es gibt einen kleinen Einkaufsladen. Alles da! Es ist ein wundervolles, ursprüngliches Dorf, wo man sich auf der kleinen Piazza trifft, sitzt und unterhält. Es gibt Tischtennis und Kicker für die Kids. Unsere Kinder sind 11 und 1, für uns passte es. 1 h bis Pisa. Die Wohnung ist ausreichend, 2 Schlafzimmer, 1 große Küche und 1 Bad mit Wanne. Manches ist in die Jahre gekommen, störte uns aber nicht. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

A beautiful place

So quiet and so beautiful! People in the village are pleasant. Pizza are so great in the restaurant. We can see more nature, Florence; Pise and Lucca were beautifull and Violetta is cool.

Charming stay at the top of the mountain

With my husband and friend we stayed comfortably in Violetta’s place. She was very welcoming and helpful, especially since arrival on the winding roads and finding the right place to park needs a little support. We loved exploring on foot with lots of hikes nearby and a nice market in town but also driving to explore around the area. The mobile reception was limited but we didn’t find that any issue. It was also nice to cook on the outdoor bbq and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Overall, a great value stay and only change I would make is to stay longer next time given the relaxing area. Thanks!
