We loved the spaciousness of the cabin and all the outdoor space. The covered wrap-around porch had plenty of comfortable seating, and we spent a lot of time relaxing and chatting on the side porch by the kitchen. The kitchen, by the way, was very well stocked and clean, which was a relief, and the huge picture windows allow delightful views of the outdoors. (The coffee pot is is the programmable drip-style, so don't bring pods.)
The kids enjoyed the walkout basement with the game tables, toys, and media room, and everyone had fun in the big hot tub (and there were designated hot tub towels. We brought additional beach towels from our home to use at Lake Wenatchee, which was a quick drive up the road and the kids had a blast).
At the house, there were lots of places to just sit and read or reflect, like balcony on the top level, or the porch swing--so peaceful. We especially enjoyed seeing the amazing stars at night--something that's hard to do in the city with all the lights. The only downside was having to leave! We are very happy we went and very much appreciate the thoughtfulness and generosity of the host for providing such a peaceful retreat.
