We had a great holiday here. Everything was just as described. The gite is very well equipped with everything needed for a self catering stay. I would say it may not suit a family with young children as the bedrooms are quite far apart in different parts of the house but it was perfect for usThe town of Sarlat is a good walk and all downhill which means coming back is very steep. However, easy to drive and park in town so not an issue.Overall we had a great stay, many thanks.

Beautiful property in a stunning part of the Dordogne. It is exactly as described and the air conditioning throughout the property and the gorgeous pool make for a relaxing, comfortable and very enjoyable holiday. We will definitely be back

Perfect house in a perfect location

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house itself is beautiful, with all the amenities that were required. It was spotlessly clean. In terms of location it is in a quiet area on the edge of Sarlat, so an easy 5 minute drive or 15-20 minute walk into the centre.

Lovely family holiday

We had a lovely stay here. The pool area is fantastic and our kids loved it. We had hoped to be able to walk into town and back but it was just a little bit too far and steep for us in the very hot weather and with our young children. The house was very spacious and the upstairs kitchen has superb views of the valley, we were treated to watching hot air balloons most mornings and evenings. We would love to go back.

Wonderful house and facilities

Beautiful, spacious property. Extremely well equipped throughout. We had mixed weather but everyone enjoyed themselves. The heated pool was much appreciated as was the air condiotioning. With 3 couples (aged 19 to 61) plus a single adult, it was lovely that each bedroom had its own shower/bathroom and toilet. The house is within walking distance of the town though it is a steep walk back up. There is a supermarket within a few minutes drive. Danny was very helpful (providing a very beautiful birthday cake ready for our arrival) and sorting out a small problem which arose with the electrics. We were impressed at the speed with which she and Diego acquired an efficient electrician. Highly recommended.

Excellant time in and around Sarlat .Lots to do and see and lovely places to eat

Superb for our 3 generation family , the swimming pool was fantastic , and the kitchen area with its pamoramic view over Sarlat was stunning ,both early morning and evening .We were treated to the hot air balloons taking flight almost every day ...what a glorious sight

Really lovely, spacious, well equipped, property

We were a family of 4 and a grandad and had a really lovely couple of weeks at the house. Further over in the Dordogne than we usually stay and was nice to see some different sights. Really liked Sarlat - plenty of choice for food and drink and the lovely massive supermarket nearby made my holiday! It is walkable into Sarlat, but as a previous reviewer mentioned it can be a bit dicey in parts and is seriously steep. Bedrooms were all comfy. Electric cover on pool the biggest treat. Pool was great for a proper swim every morning and a play with the boys in the day. Plenty of space inside so we never felt as if we were on top of each other. Table tennis and billiards table handy and there are plenty of bins nearby to keep on top of the bottles! Friendly owner and Dani, who let us in, was nearby if we had needed her. All in all - a fabulous break. Thank you

A beautiful house , garden and swimming pool. A good base from which to drive around the area. Lots to see and do. A walk downhill into Sarlat but some of it not on footpaths so need to be careful at night time. House is really well equipped with everything you need. The fourth bedroom is self contained downstairs and not connected to the rest of the house without going outdoors , which may work a dream if adults using it but may not suit young children . The views from the house are fabulous, lovely to watch the hot air balloons in the evening . A beautiful spot in the Dordogne☀️

Excellent stay in Sarlat!

Sarlat was the perfect location for a week of exploring the Dordogne, and this wonderful home couldn’t have been any better. Our group of four finished a barge trip on the Charente then drove to Sarlat for an unforgettable week. The home is well equipped and comfortable, and the town is easily accessible….right down the hill. We loved every minute!

Perfect location, perfect house, perfect vacation!

If you are looking for a 5+ star property, look no further. This vacation home has everything and more from a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, billiards room, extremely comfortable living room area and of course, the POOL, which is fabulous! There is plenty of cushioned. covered seating areas around the pool and even conversation areas in the back of the house. If I was to change one thing, it would be the size of the beds. There is only one queen sized bed which might limit some. The beds are all very comfortable and each room has it's own bathroom. One of the rooms even has a small kitchenette which is just fantastic when travelling with groups. The AC worked perfectly and each room has it's own independent unit. It was 40+ degrees and we never were uncomfortable. I can't say enough about the pool. It is very well kept and clean and they even came while we were there to clean it. We never wanted to leave. We were stranded without a vehicle after a tire had to be replaced over a weekend but we were very happy to just hang out around the property. We cooked every night in the beautiful kitchen and the BBQ outside. Sarlat is within walking distance but it is quite a hike back up the hill and quite difficult in that heat. The property would be perfect any time of the year as it is so well equipped but being there in the summer is just the BEST! We will definitely stay here again if we return to Sarlat and highly recommend this property. Communication was great with the property manager and Danny, who will greet you when you arrive was terrific.

Superbe maison sur les hauteurs de Sarlat

Superbe maison sur les hauteurs de Sarlat. Grande, bien équipée, superbe piscine dans un coin calme et tranquille. Point de départ idéal pour découvrir cette magnifique région. Toute la famille (2 adultes, 1 adulte et 1 bébé) a adoré cette maison et l’accueil de Dany et Diego a été tout simplement parfait: disponibles, réactifs et à l’ecoute. Allez-y les yeux fermés !!

Heerlijk vakantiehuis op toplocatie!

We hebben ontzettend genoten in dit huis. Het is erg ruim, netjes, van alle gemakken voorzien en heeft een prachtig uitzicht met een heel mooi zwembad. Tijdens ons verblijf hadden we helaas een ongelukje en heeft de contactpersoon ter plaatse ons ontzettend goed geholpen met het verkrijgen van zorg op het moment zelf en de dagen erna. Ontzettend betrokken en lieve dame! Het huis is op loopafstand van het dorp wat ideaal is. We komen zeker terug!

Une maison merveilleuse

Nous avons passé des vacances fantastiques. Emplacement idéal : à 5 minutes du centre historique de Sarlat et plein centre d'une multitude de lieu à visiter. Quand à la maison, que dire. Elle est parfaite. Grande, parfaitement équipée, décorée avec gout, vue magnifique, grande piscine, rien ne manque. Et pour finir, l'acceuil de Dany. Elle est toujours la pour nous aider. Vraiment, pas besoin de réfléchir, cette maison est un paradis.

Magical Stay in the Land of Many Castles

We rented the property with two other couples for a week at the end of June. The house and grounds are beautiful and met our needs well. Pierre and Danny were really responsive to all of our questions and requests. Even ran out to pick up some new ping pong paddles. The view from the kitchen and pool is awesome. We enjoyed the pool immensely and the air conditioned house was a welcome escape from the unusually high temperatures. The house is located a short walk from town but involves a climb up a steep road on your way hone. There are so many amazing villages and castles to visit and don’t forget to see on of the many cave painting sites. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill and had fabulous meals made from our market day finds. Sarlat and neighboring villages markets are full of amazing fresh produce, meats, cheeses and baked goods.

Beautiful house!

The photos do not do this house justice-it is even better in person! We were absolutely delighted with the house. It was well-equipped, thoroughly clean with many added comforts. A great house for children with games room, ping pong table and pool. We appreciated the sun loungers and umbrellas. The beds were comfortable and everything was just lovely. We would highly recommend this house and the location. Many thanks for a great holiday!
