Beautiful, well equipped gite in lovely village

Arlette made us very welcome with some very helpful emails before we arrived, and waiting for us in the gite were some delightful biscuits, cake, fruit tart, fresh juice, and fresh flowers - a nice touch. The gite itself is gorgeous! It has clearly been converted from its original use to a gite to a very high standard, and with great style. The bed is the most comfortable (and biggest) that we have ever found in France, and the modern bathroom is very well appointed. The kitchen, though small, is extremely well equipped, so was perfect for our stay. Outside is a tidy garden with sun loungers, and table and chairs. The village itself is really pretty, and there are two excellent restaurants and a tapas bar literally on the doorstep. Au Fil des Saisons serves pretty stunning food (80 euros for two including a lovely bottle of wine), and The Chalet crêperie serves excellent galettes and crêpes at a very reasonable price (38 Euros for two including wine) but you should reserve a table for both as they are popular. There are supermarkets, bakeries etc, either 3 or 6 miles away, and Pontivy and Josselin are pretty close for days out. We feel very lucky to have found this gem, and hope to return before too long.

Jolie maison bretonne bien restaurée, logement excellent tout y est!!! Literie parfaite, très bien accessoiriser. Merci au propriétaire pour son accueil et ses petites intentions sucrées. Environnement : au bord du blavet sans nuisance, calme la nuit. Sincèrement a conseiller.

Prima mooi verblijf van alle gemak voorzien, heerlijke koek van eigenaresse.

Stond op site dat huisdier welkom was, dit bleek fout. Was geen leuk begin, drukte de stemming.

What a delight

Great Gite with all you need to enjoy yourself. Roger and Arlette was very welcoming and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The Gite was clean and the bed was comfy. Just outside our front door was s road and then a river full of Carp. To wake every morning the to this wonderful place I will never forget and hope one day I can return.

Mein Mann und ich haben eine Woche in dieser Ferienwohnung verbracht. Sie ist ruhig und idyllisch gelegen, bietet jeden Komfort. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden die Wohnung uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

A wonderful place for a holiday

It is not the holiday we planned. My wife was taken ill. But immediately Arlette and Roger provided complete support as we struggled with inadequate French. My wife was taken to Hospital in Pontivy and, um, that was her holiday. But I stayed at Le Nid. Arlette and Roger were there to help as needed but otherwise took a back seat. The bicycle was available so that I could explore the area a bit before going to see my wife in the afternoons. The great celebrations on 14 July were very enjoyable. We very much hope to come back and have a proper holiday. Questions as asked Description - fine and accurate Location - yes Proprietaire - excellent Recommend - Absolutely Attractions - not as much as we would have wished, but the Tourist office is very good, and the adjacent restaurant gave us a brilliant meal on our last evening.

Un beau coup de coeur!

Souci marqué des propriétaires de rendre le séjour de leurs hôtes agréables par l'apport de petits détails qui font toute la différence.Ils se sont montrés très disponibles et rapides à répondre à nos besoins. Logement de bonne grandeur pour 4 personnes,très bien tenu,très confortable (y compris les lits)et fort joliment décoré dans un site tout simplement enchanteur. Coup de Coeur pour ce gîte et sa petite "cité de caractère" où l'on a eu de belles surprises "gastronomiques"(au Vieux Moulin et à la Crêperie).Un regret, celui de ne pas y être resté un peu plus longtemps.

The premises: a very nice...

The premises: a very nicely furnished flat which feels quite comfy, whether to sleep at night, to sit in the living room or outside in the garden (weather permitting). The large fridge with a large freezer, the range, pans, pots, dishes -- all of good quality. One feels at home, not in a hotel or anonymous rental place. The only drawback is the high humidity (but what do you expect when you are a couple of feet away from a nice river), but there is a dehumidifier at hand. The location: great for walks nearby, along the river (plenty of excellent strawberries) or to the interesting chapels, for driving to interesting spots in the Morbihan (towns, lakes, sea). A couple of blocks away, an excellent crêperie (try the crêpe au caramel, beurre salé et amandes !). The hostess: all smiles, fun, non-intrusive and very welcoming. What else could you expect for?

Tant pour l''appartement, je devrais dire la maison que pour l''extérieur dans le jardin fleuri.De grandes pièces chaleureuses, lumineuses, équipement complet, hyper propre. Environnement extérieur face à la rivière où il fait bon relaxer et d''une tranquillité. Stationnement à l''arrière facile d''accès. Situation idéale pour rayonner en Bretagne. "Après avoir traversé la campagne bretonne on arrive comme par magie à Saint-nicolas-des-eaux où nous attendent M. et Mme. C dans leur chaumière pour nous accueillir. La demeure dans laquelle on pénètre par la suite est tout aussi enchanteresse que l''accueil qui nous est réservé. C''est parfait et idéalement situé pour aller visiter une grande partie de la grande région bretonne, on a même pu se rendre jusqu''à Saint-Malo pour y passer une journée et revenir en soirée. Un séjour inoubliable, merci encore à nos hôtes!"
