We heard from Sue several times during her stay and each communication was overwhelmingly positive. She never mentioned anything that needed addressing or we certainly would have discussed/resolved it! To answer the specific concern: All comforter covers are removed & laundered each week between rentals. Throw blankets are sanitized and aired out per our cleaning standards.

Norm we are glad you enjoyed your stay! It’s a bit surprising that you didn’t know how many bedrooms and bathrooms were in the home? This is very clear in the listing. I don’t know too many lake cottages that have as many bathrooms as there are bedrooms. With regard to the dining room chairs we have lovely ladderback cane chairs. We have plenty of extras in case they are needed. Such a shame that you did not reach out and let us know that you broke one and needed a replacement.

We work so hard to provide the perfect vacation for our guests! Kevin had my number and reached out when the AC had an issue (fixed within hours) but never mentioned any other issue! I would have appreciated the opportunity to address all issues! The fridge is actually new. The shelf was broken by a renter and parts were on order, it does take time. The kitchen has received so many compliments about how well stocked it is including many pots, pans & baking pans. Maybe Kevin didn’t open all the cabinets? The water heater is kept at a safe heat but we would have been happy to turn it up. We are on a well so the pressure is going to be what it is, a lake house not a hotel. No-one else has complained? As for ants, this is the first I hear of it! We have never ever had ants at that house. In fact we have a monthly ongoing service with Orkin who takes care of any issues. I’m not sure why Kevin chose to post such a negative review but we would have appreciated the opportunity to speak to him about his thoughts as I always like to make things better! What Kevin didn’t mention was all the extra ways we went out of the way to make his trip memorable. Hopefully in looking at the many, many 5 star reviews (and 5 Star average before today) you get a better idea of the magical vacation our guests experience at this special place…

Thank you for coming to stay with us! I appreciate your compliments and thoughts but want to address some point you made so that it is clear for you and our future guests. I have nice white fluffy bath mats that were purchased for each bathroom. Not sure why you did not see them? The houses were designed with very high ceilings which do not accommodate fans, so to best circulate the air you might have opened a window as most of our guests do. We also have several box fans in the closets for use if needed. As it got hotter we had the AC vents switched to blow more upstairs which was a perfect solution for the family after yours. They mentioned it and we actioned immediately, the same day. Our lovely 850 ft of beach front is one of the nicest on the lake and has five docks, 2 fire pits and nine beaches to share among the 8 houses in our condo. It is clear in all our our literature (including that which is sent with the very first confirmation before any payment is made) that the entire frontage and all amenities are available and our guests can use any area they choose. Each typically uses the beach in front of their house but that is not mandatory. There are at least 60 beach chairs and 5 benches along the water front, I am confused as to why you could not find chairs to use? I also left you a note (with a bottle of wine & some chocolates) to be received upon your arrival with my cell number in case you needed anything at all. Most of these questions were misunderstandings and would have been cleared up in minutes had you called. We are very responsive! One guest asked if we had a crock pot in the house and we did not but we provided one within the hour. Many guests text me with questions and I answer immediately. I wish you had simply asked for my assistance, I would have appreciated the opportunity to help. As for checkout time, that is very clear in the reservation confirmation. It is 9am. No one else has misunderstood this so I am not sure where you got a different time from? Again, a quick call would have helped clear up any misunderstandings. I have now taken your advice and printed out a copy of the confirmation information and have it up on the fridge for all to see.
