Great rental in Parma

Our stay here was excellent. The owner, Michele, was extremely accommodating, friendly, and communicative. The setup in the apartment was welcoming and had everything available for proper living - it was as if we stayed at a family’s own dwelling, rather than a generic rental. Very thoughtful. Thanks so much for you hospitality! Looking forward to returning here our next time through Parma.

Our stay was wonderful.

Michael was the perfect host and a very kind man. He picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. He was always available if we needed his assistance. The apartment had everything you would need and was very clean. 5 stars!!

Home away from home.

Loved Parma and our staying at the apartment made it a unique experience,. At our arrival Michele, the owner, welcome us with a bowl of fresh strawberries and oranges, and some other basic things so we could settle and relax. Although the apartment is in an old building it has been tastefully refurbished, it also has more than the basic, dishwasher, washer...loft plan, nice comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels...walking distance form the Historic Center(10 min or less), a mini market right around the corner, with fresh produce...but most of all, the friendly owner who leaves right across from the building, and was very helpful from finding a secure garage for our car to pointing us in the right direccion to enjoy Parma to it fullest! We would definitely stay at this apartment again!

Nice apartment in quiet neighborhood

The apartment is very clean and comfortable. It is about a 15-minute easy walk from the train station and about 10 minutes from the major tourist attractions in Parma. The neighborhood is quiet but there are several very good restaurants and taverns within a minute or two walk. For senior citizens, the bedroom next to the bathroom on the first floor has two twin beds, spaced about a foot apart. The large bed is located in a loft up a steep narrow spiral staircase with a low beam at the top. Navigating in the middle of the night requires care. However, we managed without any issues. The owner met us upon our arrival and was very attentive to our needs.

... befindet sich diese gut ausgestattete Wohnung. Optimal für zwei Erwachsene. Alles im Centro ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Der sehr nette und sympathische Vermieter hatte uns sogar einen Parkplatz vor dem Haus freigehalten.

Wohnung perfekt für 1-2 Personen. Alles Nötige vorhanden und sogar noch etwas mehr, z.B. Kaffeekapseln-Vorrat, Kaffeepulver, Essig,Oel, Zucker, Salz, Gewürze. Sehr gut eingerichtete Küche. Alles so, wie man es in Italien selten erlebt. Dazu ein freundlicher und sehr hilfsbereiter Michele. Sehr gut und fast ausschlaggebend für die Wahl war die Möglichkeit das Auto zu parkieren, direkt am Rand der Altstadt und 10 Min. vom Zentrum entfernt. Kann nur empfohlen werden.

Parma City Center Review - May 2022

Pros: 1. Great host. Michele met us upon arrival and explained the functionality of the apartment, the location relative to restaurants, etc., and provided parking location adjacent to the apartment. 2. Convenient location for both exploring Parma and navigating by car to sites outside of the city. 3. Clean and well equipped for preparing breakfast and dinner meals. Appreciate the large map of the city at the entrance - very convenient. 4. Reasonably quiet. I'm used to NYC, so the street noise on Friday did not bother me much. 5. Very comfortable beds. Cons: Only one. We had problems connecting to wifi with our laptops. No problems with cell phones. Suggest that this be checked out. Considerations: 1. The unit is on the 2nd floor (3rd for US). There are 2 flights of stairs to the apartment. For older adults, this may pose an inconvenience. 2. The 2nd bedroom is up one more level on a tight winding staircase. We did not use it. For kids or older adults, something to keep in mind. Would I stay here again? Definitely.

Great place to stay in Parma

This apartment is nicely appointed, spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and everything worked well. The location is great - in a quiet street just a pleasant 5 minute walk to the centre of the old town. Michelle and Daria were very helpful throughout our stay and even assisted us with a matter we needed to follow up after we had left Parma.

Perfect apartment for your stay in downtown Parma

Our family vacationed in Parma for 5 weeks and this apartment was perfect in many ways: spacious, well-organized and outfitted with dishwasher, washer and a fairly large refrigerator and gas stove, a boon if you like to cook instead of eating out all the time. We stayed in the summer months, so the A/C was a welcome feature (a feature not always available in other properties). The place is clean, beautifully decorated and well-served by nearby shops, bars and restaurants and only a 10 minute walk from the heart of downtown, Piazza Garibaldi, or 5 minutes from the Barilla Center (Galleria). Our host was most gracious, helpful with any inquiries/information required and extremely responsive to any emergencies. He provides a very organized and detailed folder with information on operating all of the appliances and even welcomed us with a bottle of local wine. The Nespresso coffee maker was also a welcome luxury! I can honestly say this was our most positive vacation rental experience ever.

Cute little apartment, very gracious host

We stayed for 3 nights in Michele's very well-equipped apartment. Michele was a very kind and generous host. There were some food supplies provided, and he took the time to ensure that we knew how things worked. There is one bedroom on the main floor, but one bedroom is up some very steep stairs, so make sure there are no mobility issues if you are planning to stay here. I highly recommend Michele's apartment in Parma.

Quirky, funky apt in the best location with the BEST Host

When I booked this apartment I knew from the pictures it was different than most. We travel a lot so we have rented many on homeaway. This by far had to be one of our best experiences. Besides being within 5 minutes of the most beautiful part of town, the host Michele was the most attentive and gracious person I have ever met. The apartment could not have been more well supplied and he thought of everything a guest could need and he was there at a moments notice if needed. We have stayed in higher end, more expensive rentals, but this home made us feel at home, welcomed and well looked after. I cannot recommend this apartment more highly for your stay in Parma. Perfect spot for 2!!

We had a wonderful time visiting Parma based from this location. The apartment is a perfect size for 2 people ... and is very adorable. You have everything you might need and the location is ideal. We walked everywhere. Michele is an amazing host and one of the most thoughtful we have ever rented from. He even saved us a parking spot for our car early on the day of our arrival right in front of the apartment. We would definitely recommend this location and if ever visiting Parma again ... we would stay here!!
