This home surpassed all of our expectations. The hosts and the property manager were so helpful and welcoming. The house looks exactly like the pictures, but somehow even better in person! The personal touches in the home and the stunning decorations made our Christmas so special.We loved all the gas fireplaces and the movie theatre was a huge hit. We had an amazing stay and are already trying to book it again! Honestly , just a perfect place for a family gathering. Thank you Barb!!

Wow, wow, WOW!!! Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. This home was perfect for entertaining friends that flew from all over the country to celebrate a birthday with us. Everyone was comfortable, happy and had everything we needed to have fun. I truly look forward to staying here again with family. Barb and Dorla were the most incredible hosts with excellent communication too.

5 Stars – Perfect Home for a Perfect Wedding Week!This home was absolutely perfect and made an incredible setting for our family’s blessed wedding week. It had everything we needed and more — spacious, beautifully maintained, and set right by the river with breathtaking views. There was plenty to do both inside and outside the house, making it enjoyable for all ages. The hosts were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond, truly exceeding our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special time. Highly recommend!

If there’s an award for Best Host Barbara Knapp would win hands down.We celebrated our 50 th wedding anniversary 2 years ago at the Grand, so when our son announced that he was getting married we immediately contacted Barb and booked the Grand..Our friends who attended were in awe of the beauty and details to the decor of the home and the details to the landscape and areas around the home.The addition of the coffee bar since our last stay just added more ambiance and charm to the kitchen area. A coffee lovers paradise.The photographers were overwhelmed with the abundance of beautiful background photo opportunities. They didn’t want to leave.Brochure pictures don’t do justice to the beauty and elegance of the interior of the home. One must experience it for themselves.The Hains Family are truly grateful that Dennis and Barbara have allowed the opportunity to share and be part of their family even if only for a week.Thank you.Allan and Suzanne Surrey B.C

This place exceeded expectations and that is coming from 16 people unanimously! Absolutely fantastic. Immaculately appointed and the pictures fail to do it justice. It was like a National Park Lodge meets a 5 star hotel, all to ourselves!There are tons of spots to spread out and enjoy as well as incredible gathering places, indoor and out. Five star experience all around.

A gem of a property! Barb was quick on communication and the photos don't do the property justice. It's the absolute perfect location for a family gathering with plenty of space and truly no details left out. You'll find everything you need and barely a need to leave the property during your stay.

Absolutely beautiful, fully fully fully equipped with everything you need. The home was well furnished with comfortable furniture and beds. Plenty of "get away" spots to visit or read.The grounds were stunning! Green grass and glorious planters. Lots of indoor and outdoor places to eat.We loved it.

Absolute Magic

There really are words to describe how amazing this experience was. We had the best family vacation we have ever had. The house is magic, with enough space for everyone, but still feeling cozy and connected. The river view and private beach were perfection. From the smallest of details, they think of everything to make it comfortable. We already booked our next visit!

Family Vacay!

Our family vacations at this lodge every year for a while now.....we LOVE it!! It is very roomy and meets our needs.The beautiful scenery is amazing and so relaxing.The house is spacious and offers something for everyone!It is definitely a plus if you have a big family like us.The owners are the best and are just a few clicks away if you have a question!Love it and will continue making this our home away from home!

Birthday retreat

Fabulous first class property, all in our group of 9 had a great and relaxing time, celebrating a 103rd birthday in our group. Sitting on the deck overlooking the river will be a favorite memory. The movie room was also a great spot for relaxing!

This is a gorgeous property on the Wenatchee River. There are green lawns, trees, and flowers everywhere. It’s a wonderful place to settle in, relax, and enjoy being close to nature while enjoying all the comforts the lodge provides.

The Grand River Lodge is simply an exquisite property; Shangri-La on the Wenatchee River just downstream from Leavenworth. We have visited many times, and will again every year. Our grandkids will remember the experiences all their lives.

Literally Heaven on Earth

We just had the most incredible stay at The Grand River Lodge to celebrate our parents’ 50th Anniversary. Typically, you see great pictures of the home, only to get there in-person to find it’s nowhere near a nice as the photos depict. Well, this is not the case here. There simply are not enough words to say how beautiful this property is. The home itself is spectacular in every way, richly furnished and thoughtfully appointed! We really appreciated Barb’s attention to all of the smallest details - it’s safe to say, “if you want or need it, it’s there somewhere!” The grounds are immaculate over the entire property with so many fun spots to sit and have conversations, and the Knapps provide all of the outdoor games you could ever want to entertain guests of all ages, even a Single Hole, Par 3 Course (which my Dad loved!) The kitchen is incredible, fully-stocked with literally every utensil/appliance you might ever possibly need, as well as an awesome bar in the game room complete with a Kegerator, wine fridge and even its own small dishwasher! I really could go on and on for an hour about the bedrooms, theatre room and everything else, but you’ll just have to go see for yourself. Our very favorite spot was the back River deck listening to the Wenatchee River! If you’re looking for a beautiful home to make some amazing memories, this is the place! Thank you Barb and Dennis for sharing your amazing home with us! We feel so blessed!

Epic family vacation at the Grand River Lodge!

From our three-year-old twins to the 68-year-old grandparents, all sixteen of our family were smiling our entire week at the Grand River Lodge. The 9000 sq. ft. lodge was unparalleled in our experience, hands down no contest. It felt like we had our own, private national park lodge just to ourselves. The grounds were private, stunning and expansive with an orchard next door and the Wanatchee River right off the back deck. Barb, the proprietor, exceeded all other short-term rental owners/managers we've ever experienced in generosity and responsiveness. It's hard to come up with enough superlatives to describe our stay at this VRBO. We've already planned our return trip.

The most incredible gathering place we have ever been. When we first drove up to the lodge we were impressed by her presence, but after entering we fell head over heels with how truly grand she is. The biggest surprise was opening the back door to find the roar of the Wenatchee river and we were hooked! Everything about this home is truly GRAND!
We have installed a private putting/chipping green on the front lawn! Bring your wedges and putters and sharpen your skills on your private green! As you sink in to The Grand you will soon discover that this is a 5 star home with a 5 star property. In the summer months the private sandy beach offers relaxation while enjoying the beautiful river. The outdoor decks offer endless seating for viewing the river including a custom concrete bar with a built in ice channel to place your beverage bottles while enjoying the river. The heated covered deck has 2 large sofas 2 cushioned chairs and coffee tables. This is THE spot morning noon and night. We could go on and on but we will leave some of the joy for you to discover.
