Sometimes whales & dolphins & turtles play in the ocean in front of our beach!
The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, a delightful walk away along the beach is 0.6 miles north of Maui Sunset on the beach. From late-November to mid-April, mighty humpback whales swim thousands of miles to the warm waters off Hawaii to find mates and breed before the long trek back. During these months, you can often see humpbacks splashing around the waters just in front of the Maui Sunset beach.
The Maui Sunset exudes the aloha spirit of old Hawaii. Located on 5.5 acres of oceanfront in Kihei, we are noted for year round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air.
We have a beach with huge grassy lawns for rigging your standup paddle board, kite surfing & wind surfing gear or just lounging on and remembering the goodness of living.
