Difficult, Construction everywhere in the downtown area!

Not enough info regarding the location of the property with no one there to let us in?! Finally received an email with a code to get into the building, and a lockbox on the third floor with the key for the apartment?! Too much construction (not notified), and too little customer service! RKS

Wonderful stay in Marseille.

Quaint apartment in the Opera district. The apartment was clean and in a good location close to shops, cafes, and good public transportation lines. The charming balcony was excellent for people watching with a glass of rose in hand.

Perfect Location In Marseilles. Love the Balcony

This is the perfect rental apartment. It has everything one needs, but is not overly decorated. It is simple and very easy for guests to feel comfortable. The location for visiting the Old Port area could not be better. It is just one or two streets from the port, but out of the busy tourist traffic. Everything we needed was just a short walk away. We sat out on the balcony daily for much needed rests and refreshments. The view is directly into the Opera square, and is perfect for enjoying time away from the crowds. Aside from the perfection of the apartment, the owners were kind and extremely helpful. We were met by Arnaud (Anik's son) in the Opera square. Our phones were not working properly, but Arnaud found us in the square and could not have been more helpful. We were also caught in the rail strike and needed to spend an extra night in Marseilles (not a hardship!) before returning to Paris. Arnaud was able to extend our stay for an additional night with no problem. In addition, he gave us great recommendations. Specifically, Le Bistrot des Dames was a great restaurant. Probably one of the best meals we had throughout our 15 days in France. If you are looking for an apartment that meets all of your needs, with simple comfortable character, and perfect location, this place could not be better!

Sehr schöne, zentral gelegene Wohnung im Herzen Marseilles. Alles zu Fuß erreichbar und sehr nahe gelegen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und der alte Hafen. Sehr nette und freundliche Vermieterin. Wir kommen wieder!! Wonderful centrally located apartment in Marseille. The city can be visited within walking distance. Shopping facilities, restaurants and the Old Habour. Very friendly and helpful landlord. We'll be back!!!

Great !!

We couldn't have expected more for the apartment. It was nicely modern with rustic touches, had the amenities we needed, and was located within walking distance to many sites, around the corner from the harbor, and museums. The view on the Opera square was wonderful.Great neighborhood too. Anik and her son Arnaud were great to work with a each interaction was positive. I will certainly work with them again in my future visits to Marseille

Wonderful Weekend Break!

This really is a wonderful apartment if you want to get to the centre of Marseille city life. It has a wonderful balcony, excellent facilities, near to the port and lot's of excellent restaurants and bars, all wonderfully recommended by the excellent host Anik! If in Marseille be sure to stay here.

FANTASTIC APARTMENT IN THE CENTRE OF MARSEILLE

This apartment is a real pearl. We spent one week in the beginning of August and would absolutely recommend the apartment. It is nicely situated in the centre of Marseille and very close to the Old Port. The apartment is newly renovated and decorated with a lot of style. We really like the nice balcony - nice to sit there in the evenings with a bottle of chilled rosé :-) The owner, Anik is a very nice and helpful person, and she knows everything worth knowing about Marseille - her restaurant recommendations are really good. Fantastic break in Marseille in perfect location

We have just returned from 4 great days in Marseille. The apartment really is as good as it looks. It's in a perfect position, overlooking the square in front of the Opera House. The photos are exactly as it is (no long lenses and tricky angles). The apparent was very spacious with high ceilings, creating a light airy cool feel with lovely doors leading onto a small balcony from where you could sit and watch the world go by. It is very clean and well-appointed with everything you need to self-cater and Anik was available to provide anything else you might require. Appliances in the kitchen were sparkling and new. The location could not have been better -so close to the old town and port as well as beautiful designer shops around the corner and lots of life to watch from the window. Markets - fruit , veg and fish mingled together with a rich mix of people . Easily accessed on the metro from the train station (about 10 minutes away). Close to buses, the tram, bikes and the metro makes getting around Marseille very easy. Anik was so helpful, friendly and very welcoming. Would highly recommend Marseille especially if you stay in this apartment.

Central and charming

Lovely and fresh appartment that was perfectly located in the heart of Marseille. Close to everything and Anik gave us good advice on restaurants and sightseeing. But we also cooked wonderful dinners in the kitchen and had coffee on the balcony overlooking the Opera square. We were lucky to hit a an extra warm period in oct/nov, we got some nice sun-bathing and swimming at the Catalan beach, 20° in the water! The whole family recommends the flat!

Ferienwohnung bei der Opera

Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen, öffentlicher Verkehr, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und der Hafen sind rasch und einfach zu Fuss zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist mit allen wünschbaren Sachen ausgestattet und sauber. Speziell ist der Balkon mit der Aussicht auf den Platz der Opera. Der Empfang durch die Vermieterin ist herzlich und sie gibt gerne und fundiert Auskünfte auf Fragen. Wir waren bereits zum dritten Mal in dieser Wohnung und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Charmant logement lumineux, parfaitement équipé et décoré avec soin. La propreté des lieux est impeccable. L'accueil profesionel de Madame Ferrigno a été convivial et efficace. Elle ne manque pas de prodiguer de bons conseils, pour découvrir la ville. Vue imprenable depuis un petit balcon pittoresque sur la place de l'opéra. petit bémol :les bruits de la place résonnent la nuit. Ce logement très bien situé nous a séduit. NOTRE OBJECTIF ETAIT DE DECOUVRIR MARSEILLE CAPITALE EUROPEENNE DE LA CULTURE 2013 SANS VOITURE AU DEPART DE STRASBOURG. 100 % réussi, grâce à la bonne sélection de cet appartement idéalement situé à 1 min du vieux port. Arrivés en TGV et métro, les jours suivants nous avons utilisé les navettes bateau à 3€ au départ du vieux port. La propriétaire est très sympa, c'est elle qui nous a remis les clefs en nous donnant de nombreuses infos afin de passer un agréable séjour. L'appartement est grand, propre et bien équipé, draps et serviettes compris. Tous les autres services et magasins sont à proximité. A conseiller ou à refaire. Nathalie & Yannick

"We had such a nice ten days in Marseille in la Maison de l'Opéra. The location of the apartment was ideal and the atmosphere of the neighborhood was lively and lovely. And besides the balcony gave a great plus to the apartment. Also the hostess was perfectly available if needed, helpful and a very nice person. If we ever think visiting Marseille again we will rent the same apartment again - living like the local people and enjoying the city life."
