5 minute drive to Herring Pond – take the kayak, go for a fresh water swim, or go fishing in this kettle pond.
5 minute drive to Wiley Park – public pond complete with docks for jumping and swimming. They also have swim lessons. Great place for the kids to play.
10 minute drive to Nauset Light or Coast Guard Beach – tired of the peaceful bay side? Want to body surf or hop in the waves along the ocean side? Pack a lunch and some beach chairs and head to either beach for a fun day on the ocean side.
5 minute drive to National Seashore – offer a wide range of classes from canoeing through the marshes to nature hikes with the kids. You can also purchase a permit here if you’d like to have a bonfire on the beach. A great activity for all!
5 min from the bike trail and easy to rent a bike for the day.
20 minute drive to Chatham or Provincetown for local shopping.
Tons of restaurants for authentic lobster rolls or sub sandwiches to take for lunch picnic on the beach. If you want a day off the beach, there’s also mini golf, drive in movie theater, cape cod flea market, surf/standup paddle board rental, and more in the area. You won’t be short on things to do.
If you are looking for great seafood try Arnold’s, Mac’s (good sushi too) and the Friendly Fisherman - if you are looking to cook it yourself!
Try something new at Karoo for delicious African food or PB Boulangerie for French Cuisine!
Sam’s can’t be beat for an awesome sandwich and Fairway is the place to go for some bloody Mary’s.
