The two stars are for the Retreatia, the management company. After having confirmed the purchase of lift tickets through their website (and receiving a receipt and confirmation e-mail), when I arrived and tried to pick up my lift tickets (at a very good discount with them), they informed me that they did not have the tickets and were going to cancel my order. They informed me on the DAY of arrival, the day before my family was to ski. The management said the tickets were not purchased within the correct number of days before arrival. However, Retreatia had NOT cancelled tickets prior to arrival or informed me of the issue. Instead, they confirmed ticket purchase and charged my credit card. The staff person admitted it was their mistake, admitted she would be upset too if it had happened to her, yet her management did nothing to make it right. They could have honored the tickets at the discounted price or offered another way to receive discounted lift tickets. Because of this mistake, I lost hundreds of dollars. If Retreatia had informed when I made the reservation, I would have been able to buy the tickets within Steamboat's seven day discounted period. This is just bad, bad customer service. I will work hard not to use Retreatia's services again. Their management is horrible.
