Casa Evelina - Perfect Varenna Stay

The second floor apartment of a two apartment building is located near Piazza San Giorgio, yet far enough away to be very quiet. The apartment has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The little balcony off the second bedroom has a nice view of the lake. The owner is very nice and helpful. I highly recommend Casa Evelina.

Great place, great location

Renata was so helpful with anything we needed. Amazing location to see beautiful sceneries. We had trouble finding the parking gargage but Renata was available right away to help us. I’m so glad the parking was included in the price because every other city we stayed in Italy charged a lot per day.

Basic apartment in great location

The apartment was clean and functional. It was plenty of space for two people. The bed was extremely firm. The kitchen was fine for light cooking and the basic spices and oils were provided. The WiFi was not great, being provided by an LTE hotspot. The location was a good compromise between the train station, ferry terminal and main town square.

Lovely Apartment in Perfect Location

The apartment was clean, well prepared, comfortable, had a lovely little balcony and view, and had the best best best location. The host was so accommodating and communicative.

Perfect....location, amenities...Renata was amazing!

We were so comfortable in the apartment and everything was perfect! We loved the location and would definitely recommend this space.... even an extra room for kiddos!

Great location

Perfect location within beautiful town of Varenna. Host comininicative throughout check in process and provided information prior to arrival. Extremely close proximity to lake side location, the view of the lake from balcony is also a nice addition.

Quiet, relaxing retreat

The apartment is clean, well maintained and equipped with everything one could possibly need. It is centrally located, convenient to restaurants, the ferry and train station. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Communication with host and her assistant was very good. The location was very close to restaurants and short walk to ferry. We enjoyed our 6 days in Varenna!

Wir wurden in Varenna vor der Kirche von Renata Molteni und Ihren Töchtern herzlich empfangen. Die Wohnung in der historischen Altstadt lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Sie ist sehr solide und komplett eingerichtet. Der ideale Aufenthaltsort für unsere Unternehmungen am Comer See. Wir können diese Unterkunft und die Vermieterin jederzeit weiterempfehlen ! Well located, well equipped apartment in Varenna

Communication with Renata was good throughout the process. She was kind enough to pick us up at the train which made it easier to find and get to the apartment. The apartment was well located on a quiet street behind and parallel to the busy lakefront promenade, making it very easy for us to to get to restaurants and bars. As well, we were just off the main square with more restaurants and some churches to visit, and a couple little shops with grocery items. We liked the small balcony with the small view out to the lake. The apartment had cable TV with some English channels and a clothes washer, and clothes could be hung to dry outside. We enjoyed our stay here very much.!

Superb stay in Varenna

Renata's apartment made our stay in Varenna superb. Renata was always available by e-mail. Giada took great care of us. She picked us up at the ferry dock and drove us to the apartment and showed us everything we needed to know. Even how to make coffee. She was always available by text if we had any questions. Even though we weren't waterfront we did have a little lake view from the balcony. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need plus additional pantry items. Pasta, bread sticks, coffee, juice, bread and jam. This apartment is located in a great location and close to all restaurants, ferry dock and train station. It was very quiet and relaxing to come home to after out exploring all day. The weather was cooler than usual and we enjoyed having the heat work so well. Thoroughly enjoyed out time there and would definitely go back.

Perfect location with helpful owners and local expert assistance

Apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Varenna. Inside everything was very clean and all appliances, dishes, etc. were in great condition (though we didn’t bother trying the TV). Shower stall will be a bit cramped for those of larger stature but we were fine (larger of us 5’ 8” 160lbs). Washer was a HUGE help, and with indoor drying stand and fan we were able to do wash before dinner, hang it before bed, and wake up to clean laundry. Overall the apartment is comfortable but more so pragmatic, but you do not visit Como to lounge on the couch. We experienced all forms of weather and temperature during our stay and never needed air conditioning. Lastly, Renata has enlisted the help of local expert Giada, who is extremely helpful and responsive and can be regularly spotted at the local shops or on her motor scooter. Clean, convenient, and beautiful location with great owners all for a price much better than a hotel. Hard to go wrong.

Best apartment in a great location

Beautiful location just a short walk to the lake front and ferry terminal. Perfect for two people. Renata & Stefano were lovely hosts. Very special memory for us and would recommend it. Hope to revisit one day.

Just what we needed

Perfect location, away from the road noise and close to the lake. We sleept as 4 adults, and, how nice, there is a folded bed under the bunk bed. Note : the restaurant across the "street" is excellent.

Perfect size and amazing location

The flat is just a 30 second walk from both Varenna's main piazza and the lakeside - which is beautiful. Renata and her husband were very nice, picking us up from the train station and driving us to the flat. They even had bought us some, cheese, wine and salami for our time there. On the same street are several quality restaurants and it's only a 5 minute walk to get to the ferries. I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying their stay in Varenna. We'll be back.
