The apartment was absolutely wonderful. A cup of coffee as the sun comes up, watching the tide come on. We found the location to be perfect for all of our adventures. There were clear directions given by the contact, and drawer full of instruction manuals for the appliances, that was very helpful.The apartment was very clean, its open layout means you have sun all day long. Will absolutely book the apartment again on future visits to the island.

Spectacular setting on Terceira in Porto Martins

I am already recommending you apartments I loved awaking daily to the sunrise watching the sea at my feet. The Porto Martins bathing pool is just a short walk. I snorkled in winter with a wet suit, so many fishes!!! Both the Vista Grille and Buzius are great restaurants. There are bus stops at the church and at the recycle station. We did not rent a car, used buses, taxi and tours for the 30 days we were there. Daily walks along the paved trail were a favorite of mine. Make sure you visit local restaurants in villages too The Paulo Gomes and his parents went above and beyond for me. I can not thank them enough!

Wonderful place!

The airport was very close and so was the grocery. We had lots of space, the view was extra, the natural pool juste in front was inviting. We even went snorkeling and saw an octopus and many fish. The owner lived under us and was very kind and gave us a lot of information on the island. The only bother we had was that the neighbors dogs barked quite a lot…

Stay at Paulo's place in Porto Martins

Excellent! Super clean apartment right on the ocean with just the right amenities and the host's dad was so cute doing chores in the yard in the early morning! Seriously we loved our stay it was just perfect!

Arrived to local Festa on our doorstop. Perfect spot for a low key, do it when you want stay. Food great, people friendly, island charming.

Incrível estadia na Ilha da Terceira. Não podíamos ter gostado mais: ótima localização e extrema simpatia dos proprietários da casa em baixo. Perfeito para quem gosta de acordar e dar um mergulho a um passo de casa. A casa está equipada com tudo o que é necessário a uma estadia confortável e é ainda melhor do que as fotos apresentam. Porto Martins Bay Apartment B, Praia da Vitoria, Terceira/Azores

We had a very pleasant stay at the apartment and found everything as expected according to the online information. Paulo was waiting for us and explained everything. He and his parents, who live downstairs, are very nice and were always available for help if needed. The view - and the large terrace! - are a real asset and absolutely delightful. We could not have wished more (but less wind!) for a very enjoyable stay. We can definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Sehr gutes Appartement toller Lage

Sehr schöne und grosszügiges Appartment an toller Lage. Die Wohnung sowie die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Durch Paulo wurden wir immer sehr gut betreut. Es hat alles super geklappt.

Hello,

My name is Paulo Gomes, I am on the right side of the profile photo. I am a native of Terceira Island, I was born in 1982 and I'm an environmental engineer, working on waste management in municipalities of Praia da Vitória.
I am passionate about nature and particularly by sea, I love to surf and sail on my boat.
I am also passionate about music, I started playing guitar at age 14 and never stopped. I Currently play in 3 groups.
I also love traveling, I have had the privilege of visiting almost half of Europe and to visit countries such as Brazil and the United States of America.
Like almost all natives of Terceira island, I like to treat well those who visit us and show the best of what this land has to offer.

In the photograph on the left side is my father, Ilídio Gomes 75 years. Together we manage Porto Martins Bay Apartments with the goal of providing our guests an unforgettable experience.
Ilídio is also a lover of the sea and nature, loves to fish and sail. He also loves playing music and was one of the founders of the oldest band of the Azores and one of the oldest in Portugal and perhaps the world - Os Sombras.
Ilídio also has a talent for the fine arts, he's a painter. All paintings that decorate our apartments were painted by him. His painting atelier is located below the apartments on the ground floor of the building where he also lives.
