カレル橋のすぐ近くにある歴史的なネオゴシック様式の建物の1階（2階）にある、新しく改装された完全装備の3ベッド2バスアパートメントです。時間は、オールドワールドスタイルを持ちたいが、モダンで機能的なフラットでありたい、より小さく、より要求の厳しいグループまたは家族に対応します。 3つのコネクティングルームがあります：キングサイズベッド（幅180 cm）のマスターベッドルーム、暖炉（バイオエチノールは本物の炎を意味しますが煙はありません）のあるリビングルーム/リビングルーム、ケーブルテレビ、大きな引き出し式ソファ、そしてキングサイズのベッド2台を備えた大きなベッドルーム。 これらの部屋にはすべて独自の出入口があり、プライバシーは問題になりません。 大きなマスターバスルームには、浴槽/シャワー、トイレ、洗面台、洗面所と乾燥機が装飾的なサイドパネルの後ろに隠れています。 2番目の小さなバスも完全に装備されていて、小さなシンク、シャワー、トイレがあり、両方とも床暖房が付いています。 無料のWiFiはフラット全体で機能します。 設備の整ったキッチンは、大規模な食事を作るのに最適です。朝のコーヒーと小さな朝食にも最適です。 アイロンとアイロン台、すべてのタオルと手ぬぐい、追加寝具はもちろん提供されます。 フラットでの喫煙は許可されていませんが、それに最適な小さなバルコニーがあります。

Fabulous stay in Old town Prague

Could not have asked for a better location. A roomie and well appointed 2-suite flat, well stocked (starter beer, wine, fresh bread, milk, ham, cheese…) and very comfortable. Within Walking distance from most everything. Mark was very responsive to questions and reached out to make sure we were doing well. The second bathroom is small, but there is a large mirror and table to be used as a vanity that provides what you need.

Fantastic stay

Apartment was as charming as described. Great location.and decor. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Very clean. The cafe below can be a bit noisy at night, but if it's cool enough to close the windows, it is very quiet. Overall, a great place to stay, and Mark is a super host.

Everything perfect… It really couldn't have been better!Mark is an attentive host and gave us a warm welcome. (Thank you Mark!)The apartment ist lovely, well equipped and beautifully furnished! Ideal central apartment

Often the accommodation choice can make or break these sorts of quick stays in an unknown city - and for us, this one made it. The location is right near all the old city areas (2-10 mins easy walking), without being busy or noisy itself. It was comfortable and feels very authentic. As a family of four with two young adult children, the two bedroom / three beds / two bathroom setup was critical to us, and worked well. The apartment is up one easy flight of stairs, and warm and clean. The host was fantastically responsive, gave a great arrival experience, and we would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a similar type of base for their stay in Prague.

Beautiful apartment in a great location

The apartment is a gem: spacious, very well appointed, super high ceilings, double layered windows, etc. It's absolutely beautifully decorated with stucko on the ceiling and walls, nice artwork. It was nicely pre-stocked with some food and drinks and all necessary consumables. Location is great. A 2-3 minutes walk to the Charles bridge but still in quiet area. The host was super friendly and very responsive. We would stay there again in a heartbeat

A lovely place

A Gem

This place was spotless, in a fabulous location, with a terrific owner. Not many VRBOs arrange transportation, stock the fridge w wine, soda and milk….and homemade cake! Great cafe below and restaurant on the corner. Two little markets just steps away. It could not have been better!

Old World Charm with Modern Conveniences

Over the last 20 years, we have been to many VRBO’s and this one is one of our favorite. The location, the welcoming goodies and the high seàing matched with Mark’s availibility make it a very enjoyable stay. We would stay here anytime.

Great location!

We had a wonderful stay in The Karoline! Communication with the owner was excellent, and the check in process was seamless. The owner coordinated transport to & from the airport at a very reasonable price. And, we were welcomed with a fridge that had a few beers, wine, juice and some snacks! The location was perfect! Easy walk to the Charles Bridge area and also a super easy walk to Old Town area. We walked to Marina Ristorante one evening and had a wonderful dinner. We also enjoyed dinners at Gruzie & KCRMA, and we loved Las Adelitas for Mexican food. We rented a private boat one afternoon on the Vltava River and did a private walking tour the I booked through withlocals.com - it was a wonderful 5 days in Prague, and the Karoline was the perfect home base!

Amazing landing place in Prague

This apartment is beautiful and very well located. The aesthetic is old world but with modern amenities. There are two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with two double beds. The middle "living room" has a futon style couch/bed that our 17 year old used. We never used that room as a living room since we were almost always out! 2 bathrooms, laundry and full kitchen. The wonderful hosts left us some beer and wine as well as some bread and sweet treats as a welcome. I would definitely stay here again! As some of the other reviews stated, the bedrooms are on the street side, and it is a common shortcut used so sound travels up easily. We left the window open the first night - but then never again! No air conditioning, but with windows on opposite sides of the apartment the air circulated well - and we were there during a heat wave! When going to sleep we were able to close our windows and be comfortable with the fans provided. Prague is a beautiful city with so many things to do and see, and this centrally located apartment is a great place to call home. We walked our feet off! We will be back for sure.

Felt at home not to mention beautiful!

Love this place! Our hosts were so sweet. They left us with fresh breads, wine and beer the day we arrived. They had fans in every room for our comfort. Such a beautiful ornate place. The location was walkabe to old Town and downtown. Plenty of room for my husband and I with our teenage kids. If we come back to Prague someday, Iwould definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Apartment in Great Location

This apartment is lovely, spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. It is very easy to walk or take a short tram ride anywhere you’ll want to visit in Prague. And Mark was so welcoming! He let us drop luggage early and leave it late. He checked in on us via messaging to see if we needed anything. And he had food and drink stocked to get us started on our stay. It was a perfect apartment for us and I recommend it to anyone!

Great flat for first time in Prague

Four friends enjoyed seven nights here. On our arrival, Galina ran up a few minutes late to give us keys. We did not meet Mark or Mirka but appreciated their treats in refrigerator. The flat was clean, smoke free, and full of towels and wash cloths. No shampoo and insufficient toilet paper, we ran out. Dryer was broken though still listed on Amenities. Washer and rack did work. Mark’s transport service to airport gave us no confirmation but did come on time. We found no instruction list for clean up at check out. Perfect location for car-free week of walking. Spacious apartment was ideal for four friends, thank you.

Overall we enjoyed the apartment, but....

Let me start out by saying Mark was very generous by letting us drop our bags before check in because we arrived to Prague. He also let us stay a couple of hours later because our train was changed. The apartment was very expensive for the area - Prague is very reasonable in general. We were disappointed since there was not even a napkin, paper towel, pepper shaker or a wash cloth in the apartment. Not a deal breaker, we bought our own. Our big complaint is there was no working clothing dryer and no coffee maker in the apartment - we were told the dryer did not work and showed a bottle of instant coffee when we checked in. These are the only 2 reasons we rent a VRBO over staying in a hotel when we travel. We would have chosen differently if we were aware these amenities were not available, but the apartment advertises these amenities hence it was not as an accurate listing.

Mark Grein is originally from the U.S., but on a chance trip to Europe back in the nineties, he was enchanted by the magical allure of Prague and decided to set up shop here, right in the middle of central Europe not long after the Velvet Revolution. He and his wife Mirka are filmmakers, but decided to try their hand at renovation when they bought this beauty in the heart of the Old Town last year. They did much of the renovation work themselves, especially in restoring the original ceiling stucco decoration, spending many hours up on a ladder covered in wet plaster and paint, and with Mirka handmaking much of the decor, like the floral patterns on the fireplace mantle and cabinets.

We knew we had something special when we first set eyes on this diamond-in-the-rough. All of the doors in this residential building have wooden entrance doors or portals that are decorative pieces unto themselves. One inside the flat, we saw that the elaborate but faded ceiling decorations were just screaming to be restored, and the original owner had left many of the original details in this old place, such as doors, door handles, parquet floors, windows(including original glass in some of the windows-- look closely and you'll see the tell-tale 'waviness' in some of the panes). The layout was perfect--- three connected rooms, but all with their own entrances/exits, a large and separate kitchen, along with a small balcony. Located on the 1st floor of a neo-gothic buliding just around the corner from the famous Charles Bridge in the heart of the Old Town, but on a side pedestrian street, it just felt like the right place. We think you'll agree :)

As with all properties, 'genus loci' is the most important thing, and this flat has got it in large amounts. It is the perfect place to begin and end a walking tour of the beautiful city, and the quaint street has many great cafes, fantastic wine bars and restaurants, and even though it's close to the famous bridge, it's managed to hang to a lot of its local character.
