Over all great home, good location, nice pool could have a few more towels Would overall recommend the house and the couple who hosted us.We left some items and they were kind to ship them to us.

Perfectly positioned,lovely property, easy walking to both the old city and the modern one. Access to supermarkets(by car) and small shops by foot. Martine obviously lives her home, as a host she was perfect, available if needed but not intrusive. The pool is a big plus if you have teenagers.

We had a lovely week in Carcassonne. Saw one of the Tour de France stage finales around the corner, hired bikes, had a day in narbonne and celebrated a 21st birthday. Beautiful, well equipped and characterful property.

Lovely welcome from Martine. House is fantastic and we loved the outside space. Also it’s only around a 10 minute walk to the Place Carnot, shops, restaurants etc. a couple of hand towels would have been useful as well as something insulated to put shopping in but these are small niggles. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Great place to stay

Really well situated - just on the edge of the Bastide and about 15 minutes walk from the walled town. Lovely home with a small pool and excellent outdoor kitchen. It had all the facilities we needed. Our host was very friendly and extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Very lovely house beautifully decorated Great location for visiting medieval town and vineyards. Less than one hour to Narbonne Plage for a nice day out. Lagrasse was lovely too Toulouse on the train for a day trip was very cheap and delightful. So nice to stay in someone’s house - thanks very much for the welcome

Brilliant stay in Carcassonne

We had a really nice time in the property. The owners met us on arrival and showed us around their house. The house was provided with everything we needed. The pool was great in the hot weather and air conditioning in two of the bedrooms was good, further AC in the other bedrooms might stop squabbles! The location is great for walking around Carcassonne and nice to park the car undercover. Also really convenient for the airport.

A lovely stay in a beautiful family home in Carcassonne

We are a family of 5, with 3 teens. We had so much space in really clean and comfortable surroundings. Communication was excellent and Martine and Jean were good hosts. The pool area with outdoor kitchen was lovely and peaceful and the garage with ping pong a treat! Would recommend to families or groups. We would return ( and remember all our belongings next time! - thank you Martine!)

A home from home

This is a wonderful house well equipped and homely befitting this old stone house . On top of a great feel inside, the swimming pool with bar and bbq was perfect for hanging out and stay in evenings. The garage is huge, so getting four cars parked off street was easy. Our hosts were very understanding, our booking was originally from 2020. The entire group said they would stay here again and that is has raised the bar on what we would like for future holidays

Good stay, Good Location

property is easy to find and only 10 mins from airport. initial impressions are a decent sized house, clean and well equipped. location is quite quiet and house and pool are private so relaxing. Of particular note are a well equipped kitchen with a good hob and oven, other small appliances and plenty of utensils. if heat in house is a problem from cooking in kitchen, outside has a built in BBQ also a good size and in covered location, this got a lot of use. Two bedrooms have aircon which were not heavily used as we visited in September and while hot, evenings were cool and sleeping ok, but can imagine in summer this could be a problem in the other two. perhaps a couple of fans for other rooms would help with this. Pool heating ideal, enough to take to chill off but keep water refreshing after being out and about. Castle/cite a good walk but we did it 3 times and it is a fantastic place. the main (modern) centre of the city is close by, as are local supermarket, bakery etc so a very convenient location. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay and Carcassonne in general. recommended.

Magnifique séjour

Découvrir la région de l’Aude par la cité de Carcassonne et son feu d’artifice sur les remparts est une expérience unique. Un accueil convivial par Martine et Jean-Denis, avant même d’arriver une communication et une prévenance pour que tout se passe bien. La maison est magnifique chargée d’histoires et la piscine sous le soleil, vacances délicieuses.

Top séjour

On se sent comme à la maison . Tout y est. Piscine chauffée tres propre barbecue. La maison reste fraiche quand il fait tres chaud dehors. Un grand garage pratique. Grande buanderie avec lave line et seche linge...A 5 minutes de Carcassonne a pied et a 15 minutes de la cité médiévale a pied. Merci a Martine et Jean Denis pour leur acceuil et leur disponibilité ! Nous recommandons.

Magnifique maison à la décoration très soignée et très confortable à 10 mn à pied du plein centre ville de la bastide de Carcassonne et à 25 mn à pied de la citadelle. Un gros plus avec la piscine à 29°pour se rafraichir des journées caniculaires et une cuisine d'été pour prolonger sur de belles soirées d'été. Des propriétaires aux petits soins très réactifs. Magnifique région si riche en histoire. De très jolies promenades à faire le long du canal à bicyclette ou en pleine nature à pied. Le lac de Cavayère pour la plage en famille à 15 mn en voiture.

Nice spacious house with character

Nice property with a private pool in a quiet location in Carcassonne close to restaurants in the main town square and within easy walk to the walled City. Offstreet parking in the huge garage and all the rooms are very spacious. Recommend walking to the City via the river bank which is at the end of the street if you turn left outside the front door. Walking this way you will also find a large public sports complex including swimming and tennis courts.

Wunderschön

Sehr sehr schönes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes und vollständig ausgestattetes Haus. Eine Außenküche, die keine Wünsche offen lässt (Grill und Elektrogrill). Zentraler Ort ist für uns der Innenhof mit Pool gewesen. Wunderbar windstill (Hinweis: in Carcassonne geht meist ein Wind, der vor allem die Nachtruhe sehr angenehm macht), schön warm, Kräuterduft, die Außenküche, eine große Sitzecke - einfach perfekt. Die Kommunikation mit Martine per Mail funktioniert sehr gut. Carcassonne, das nähere und weitere Umland hat viel zu entdecken und ist jede Reise wert. Fazit: So muss ein Urlaub sein.

Séjour enchanteur

Jolie maison de ville très fonctionnelle, très bien équipée et agréable avec des grandes chambres et un séjour convivial. La piscine chauffée est un vrai atout ainsi que le coin restauration à l’extérieur. Son emplacement à deux pas de la ville nous a permis de profiter pleinement de Carcassonne et de la cité médiévale. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour malgré une météo un peu capricieuse en ce début de mois de juillet. Merci à nos hôtes pour leur accueil 👍

Belle maison avec piscine à Carcassonne

Très bon séjour dans cette grande maison agréable et bien équipée. La piscine est vraiment un plus au retour d’excursion dans une région riche en vestiges historiques. L’accueil des propriétaires est très chaleureux et nous recommandons vivement cette location !

Lovely get away in Carcassonne

We have just spent a fabulous week in this beautiful home and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The house really is a 'home from home', tastefully and quirkily decorated and very well equipped enabling you to self cater with ease. As 2 couples we each had an air conditioned bedroom, a must in the climate. One has an ensuite bathroom and a small criticism is the lack of hot water from this shower, only enough for one shower really, but the main bathroom (which is huge!) has plenty of hot water so we were able to manage. The house is very well situated, a 10 minute walk into modern Carcassonne and a 20 to 30 min stroll down the river to the old Cité, with many restaurants to chose from in both. We hired a car as we like to explore the area but I'm sure you could entertain yourselves here for several days without one. The pool area with BBQ was lovely and got a lot of use. Martine and Jean Denis were both very welcoming even though our French and their English were limited we managed to converse enough to get by! I would highly recommend this lovely home for anyone wishing to visit the Carcassonne area and beyond!

A long holiday in Carcassonne

Very well kept and clean property. Pool a great asset especially during the hot weather we experienced. On reflection, i think a car is essential if you want to move around the area. A great holiday was had by all.
