Fantastic Stay

The home was a real dream, we loved it and the well appointed kitchen was a delight to cook for the family! The fire place uses real wood and gave the entire home a magnificent ambiance! I will come back and rent this home everytime if possible!

Lake Tahoe Northstar

We had a wonderful family vacation. We had just enough room for our family. Super convenient location for skiing. Having the bus service available to the lifts was key. Would definitely recommend for a family ski vacation.

Great place and location

The house is even better than the photos! Great games available and the kitchen is well stocked on pots/pans. Great beds. Be aware of getting rid of trash as they only pick up once a week. Be prepared to haul trash out if you have a lot.

Awesome place for a friends ski trip

We had a great stay at this property for our friends’ ski trip with kids! The place is exactly as pictured—spacious, well-designed, and perfect for a group. The large couch, dining table, and fully equipped kitchen made it easy to relax and enjoy meals together. The shuttle to the ski resort was a huge plus, with convenient door-to-door pickup.A couple of areas for improvement: the bedding quality could be better—mattresses are quite firm, pillows feel cheap, and there are no extra bedding or towels. Additionally, the water pressure on the second floor is weak when multiple faucets are in use. Overall, still a great spot, but these small upgrades would make it even better!

Great huge house

We stayed there for 9 days in March. Our main goal was skiing at Northstar and we couldn’t dream of a better place to stay. The house is huge and well stocked. There were just 4 of us, but it could easily accommodate 10 people. Shuttle makes getting to the slopes very easy. Hot tub is nice for after the skiing day soaks. There were minor inconveniences like one of the bathrooms couldn’t be locked up, but nothing serious that could spoil our stay. We’d definitely come again.

Great home, great location!

Beautiful, high end home, nicely furnished and comfortable for a couple of families. You cannot beat the location- the shuttle stops literally outside the front door and the drive to the Village is about 4 minutes. We were a group of two families plus two extra kids (10 total) and the house was very comfortable for our group. Loved being able to park in the garage, our SUVs fit even with roof pods. Plenty of towels and extra blankets were very much appreciated! Our kids loved the hot tub and foosball table. A couple of points of feedback- -The sectional sofa is getting worn out, back cushions are squishy and some cushions are ripped, probably needs to be replaced. The dishwasher is also old and doesn't clean well. The detergent compartment door is broken. -Could use a few higher quality knives or at least a good knife sharpener -We paid a lot for the house for three nights, yet there was no spray to clean off counters, maybe half a roll of paper towels, one box of tissues, no laundry detergent, and too few dish towels. If we were coming for a week I would have brought more supplies but I feel at the price point we are paying there should be enough supplies provided to make it through a regular weekend. I know Tahoe Getaways provides just enough to get guests started, but it was a stingy amount. Please consider being a little more generous with the supplies. We would rent this house again. Tahoe Getaways has great homes and service. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again. We loved the location. Using the resort amenities was so fun, and both the lake and Truckee were easy to get to. The house was quiet and spacious. Beds were more firm than what was comfortable for me, but besides that, everything was great.

Great Location

Great family house, nice and close to Northstar. Plenty of space and great house for family meals. Be great if the house had air con as it was really hot at night, outside of that was a great house.

Nice - needs some things

Overall - very nice place. A few items that should be addressed immediately for a house marketed as a nice home and paying a good rate. 1 - Have sharp knives - this would be a non-starter in the future. 2 - For a week's rental - have ample supplies (consumables - like soap/dish/papertowels/tp/detergent) for a week. Your property mgmt company can do this and coordinate for each visit. For the money - this is a no brainer. 3 - pillows are old and should be replaced, bedding should be updated 4 - the dryer takes forever to dry - (is something wrong with it) 5 - why does the heat need to stay at 55, the furnace is very loud (should be serviced or replaced with a low noise one) 6 - first floor shower pipes are loud - should be looked at 7 - TV instructions would be helpful - what services are available etc. 8 - get you high speed internet at highest speed and have your prop mgmt co - test it as part of their todo list 9 - put desks in the bedrooms

Can't wait to return!

My family and I absolutely loved our time at Indian Hills. The house was bright and open yet cozy. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook large meals. We used the bbq as well. Hot tub was great. Easy walk to Northstar resort. I would highly recommend Indian Hills to any large family and we cannot wait to return! Thank you!

Perfect Ski Retreat

Lovely house with tons of space, cozy atmosphere, great location with shuttle to lifts. Rented for 4 days for a group of people - 3 couples & 1 individual - and worked great for us. Would absolutely return.

Wonderful open layout w/some things to consider

The house has a very nice open layout with a good mix of beds for sleeping arrangements. A few things... The dishes are on the cabinet above the floor on shelve/cabinets that are stuck and can't move to slide out your needed dishes. The house doesn't carry a few essential items. For us it was oil and a cheese grater. These are all things that are annoying but not deal breakers. The best thing this house could do is add a bear box. Finding someone within our group to volunteer to drive to the resort and take the trash, come back and then pack and leave is an incredible inconvenience - especially when the snow is coming down hard and all you want to do is make it over Donner Pass before traffic hits. Please get a bear box for this house.

Well appointed for a family with children

Really a great house for a multi-family gathering with children. Beautiful setting. Beautiful house. On the down side, there were a couple of issues related to preparation of the house. We did not arrive until after dark. Although the heat was on, there were no lights on, either inside or outside the house. A bit difficult, in the dark simply finding the house, as there were no house numbers visible. Once we found the house, we needed a flashlight to find the lockbox and open it to get the key. If the outside lights had been on, that would not have been a problem. Once we got in, everything was fine, although the latch on the front door worked intermittently. It seemed like a good gust of wind could blow the door open. Use of the deadbolt was required to firmly latch the front door. It should also be noted that there is no Bear Box at this house, so all garbage has to be taken to the community dumpsters at the entrance to Northstar. This requires the Guest access card, which then must be returned to the house. This complicates satisfying the 10am check out requirement when leaving.

The refrigerator did not keep food cold. The ice maker didn't work, the freezer did not keep ice cream, popsicles etc. frozen, so we lost all of it. The interior of the fridge didn't keep food cold. Consequently we lost some food. We did call the property manager and they did come out but said that the fridge did work. This property is awesome except for that one issue.
