Very nice but difficult to find

Very nice garden and swimmingpool. Bathroom could be better, very old shower. Very nice people. The outdoor space is perfect (large terrace and very nice swimmingpool with lounge set) and this is the most important ! So I recommend it!

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Haus und dem Pool den wir für uns alleine hatten .Der Vermieter war sehr hilfsbereit sehr nett und die Lage der Unterkunft auch sehr nah an allem wie Strand Meer Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Lieben Dank an den netten Aufenthalt wir kommen wieder .Grazie (Mario e famiglia)

Amazing swimming pool

Finding the property was easy based on the address given. It is in a bit remote place to get there, but was no problem in the end. We arrived from UK at 01:00 AM and the owner had no problem with that, they were waiting for us late to arrive and take our accomo. An arrival we received 1 bottle of cold water in the fridge,so was a bit disappointed,couse in previous comments suggested that bottle of wine were waiting at arrival☺️The property was clean, but a bit dated, beds/matrasses could be better, toilet cistern had issues filling up, WiFi was available every now and then,but lots of times it didn't let us connect, very weak phone signal in the area. Towels were provided also beach towels and umbrella. Pool lights were not on in 2 of the evenings we stayed and we had to ask them to fix it up for us next night to enjoy it. Air conditioning is available at extra charge. If you don't speak Italian better learn or get your google translator ready as the caretaker, Mario spoke no English (by the way he tried his best and was very helpful whatever we asked him to do for us), so communication was a bit tricky. The beach is just 15 minutes by walk and like a 3 minutes drive. All and all very nice holiday home to stay. We had a good time and non stop hot Italian sun.

Vacanza da sogno

La casa è come mostrata nelle foto, è in una zona strategica, raggiungibile in auto in meno di un minuto spiaggia e centro paese. Giardino molto curato, la piscina è fantastica. Abbiamo usufruito moltissimo del portico, posizionato a nord pertanto sempre in ombra. Ringraziamo i proprietari, persone gentilissime, molto premurose e ospitali. Torneremo sicuramente a trovarvi. Grazie

Un peu déçus

La communication fut difficile car les propriétaires ne parlent pas un mot d'anglais ni de français... donc "Google Translate". Le coin piscine est charmant et agréable, s'y baigner est un plaisir. La terrasse est vaste et accueillante... à condition de bien se protéger des moustiques. Le logement est petit et nous convenait bien car nous n'étions que deux. L'équipement est minimaliste et vieillot, mais on s'en sort. Ce qui nous a le plus déçu, c'est le fait que l'enceinte privative ne l'est pas vraiment, les propriétaires habitant à l'étage avec vue sur jardin et piscine et qu'ils y ont leur hangar à matériaux avec garage pour leur camion de chantier. On ne se sentait pas vraiment dans l'intimité du "chez-soi" que l'on attendait, d'autant plus que l'on entendait, au-dessus de nos têtes, leur TV, leurs conversations, les bruits de chaises... Il y a aussi le pont routier qui passe juste à côté de la maison... ce n'est pas une autoroute, mais c'est gênant quand-même. Enfin, la climatisation : selon le descriptif, elle est comprise dans la location et, sur place, on nous a réclamé, en cash, 5 €/jour pour recevoir la télécommande !!!

Soggiorno meraviglioso...la Sicilia è stupenda ...la casa è freschissima non c è bisogno di aria condizionata, in pieno luglio abbiamo dormito con il lenzuolo. La piscina è un valore aggiunto inestimabile specialmente per chi ha bimbi e si vuole riposare. Ringraziamo i proprietari gentili e sempre disponibili ad ogni nostra richiesta. Torneremo sicuramente.

Bella Vacanza

La casa si presenta pulita è ordinata , con un discreto tocco di design interno piacevole è composta di sala con cucina annessa , due camere e bagno . Per gli elettrodomestici , dispone di : lavatrice , frigo , aria condizionata , ( extra , da pagare a parte ) ,forno a microonde , un bollitore , asciugacapelli e televisore . La cucina è in muratura con discreti vani , camere pulite e ben curate con ampi armadi per riporre il vestiario . La casa dispone di un ampio terrazza/patio sempre all'ombra. Siamo stati in questa casa a fine giugno è le prime due settimane di luglio , il caldo era deciso , dai 32 ai 37 gradi , (alcuni giorni ) , grazie alla posizione sopraelevata non abbiamo mai patito il caldo , ( infatti l'uso dell'aria condizionata non è stato necessario ) , di notte la temperatura inoltre rimane abbastanza fresca . La casa si trova sulla collina appena fuori Balestrate , qui , 38°02'32.8"N 12°59'46.7"E , 38.042455, 12.996309 , basta inserire una delle due indicazioni coordinate in google maps , la macchina si può parcheggiare nel cortile interno . La casa è in condivisione con i proprietari che comunque risiedono in un area posteriore a quella a voi dedicata , gentilissimi , ci hanno offerto anche alcune specialità siciliane di benvenuto . La cosa che mi è piaciuta di più , oltre alla bellissima piscina è il Patio , un area ideale per chi deve vivere la vacanza all'aperto ,

Lovely Holiday Home With Exceptional Pool And Garden Provided BY Welcoming Hosts

We had a lovely time in Balestrate. We arrived very late which was not a problem for the owners Domenico and Giuseppe who welcomed us with a bottle of wine and various items for breakfast as we had no time to shop for the following day. The pool was amazing and exclusive to our party of 4 adults whilst we were there. The pool surroundings and gardens were maintained to a very high standard. There is a very large covered terrace with a large dining table and lounge furniture from which you can enjoy views over the valley. The apartment was equipped with a washing machine and fridge freezer. Ample bed linen and towels were also provided. We travelled to many of the villages and towns in the North West of Sicily including Palermo and enjoyed the local markets and restaurants and would hope to return one day to explore the rest of the area and beyond. The greatest advantage was the feeling of freedom to do what we liked in a secure and well maintained environment with help close at hand if we needed anything. The property reflects the photos published on the website and is close to the town. I would not hesitate to return to this property.

Incantevole

L'esterno della proprietà è delizioso e curatissimo. La piscina è super pulita e gestita quotidianamente da Giuseppe, il proprietario, che cura con discrezione l'esterno al mattino presto. Si vive nell'ampio portico sempre all'ombra, sfruttando il barbecue con poco impazzimento. La casa è pulitissima e dotata di ogni necessità. Grazie a Giuseppa e Giuseppe per la loro ospitalità.

Overall very nice

Lovely warm welcome. Giuseppa gave us two delicious bottles of Nero wine which were gratefully received. The location was not especially convenient because the town and the beach were just a title too far for us to walk and the access road was steep and tricky. It was difficult to find but once we arrived we felt very safe.That said, the property was well appointed with a pretty pool and good views. It certainly felt as though we were in the real Sicily complete with a crowing cockerel. The verandah was great and very comfortable. It could be improved a little if just one or two basics were included e.g. Salt and pepper, a sharp knife, a few more bowls etc. The toilet would not work for the whole time we were there and neither did the TV. It didn't matter to us that the TV didn't work but the toilet was a bit of a nuisance. Despite these glitches we would recommend this place without hesitation and please give Giuseppa a hug from us.

Lovely apartment with terrace and private pool!

We stayed in this apartment during the second week of July with our 2 daughters and were the first guests to use the new private pool which was just wonderful! The apartment itself is small but has all you need (fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, 2 bed rooms). The outside terrace is big and well maintained and has view on the pool and the valley next to the house. There is private parking space in front of the apartment. The owners, who live on the top floor, are very kind and welcoming. Without imposing they came to greet us everyday and brought us fruit and wine. Although our Italian is not really fluent, we managed to communicate well. Would definitely recommend to spend your holidays here!

Fantastica!!!

A due passi dalla grande spiaggia,ma immersa nella quiete della campagna, questa accogliente casa ci ha permesso di passare una serena Pasqua in famiglia e di ritrovare la quiete di cui avevamo bisogno. La casa era pulitissima e i proprietari gentili e pronti a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta(dove possibile). Consigliamo senza dubbio il soggiorno in questa casa/villa.

Stupenda vacanza

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di soggiornare nella villa katia a Balestrate per un periodo di 3 settimane Dire che ci siamo trovati benissimo . I proprietari (e la famiglia tutta) sono persone simpatiche, che mettono subito a proprio agio chi soggiorna. Sempre pronti a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta o necessita’ che del resto sono state pochissime perche’ nella casa non manca nulla . Consigliamo senza dubbio il soggiorno in questa casa/vi

Casa deliziosa, fresca, tranquilla e comoda

Abbiamo soggiornato per 12 giorni con due bimbi molto piccoli nel mese di Agosto e ci siamo trovati benissimo. L'appartamento corrisponde alla descrizione, ha tutte le comodità descritte e va benissimo anche per 4/6 persone adulte. Tra le varie qualità segnalo che l'appartamento è nuovo, la cucina molto pratica e con tutto il necessario, lavatrice nuova e ben funzionante, TV, Phon, doccia; camere da letto e soggiornino assolutamente freschi! Non abbiamo mai sofferto il caldo, inoltre c'è molto spazio fuori, sia per parcheggiare la macchina ma soprattutto per mangiare e vivere all'esterno, con la presenza di sdraio e tavolo e sedie e anche di una doccia all'aperto. Il posto è immerso nel verde, c'è molta tranquillità e pochi rumori, ma è vicino al mare e a tutti i servizi del paese. Infine ringrazio la signora Giuseppina per la cortesia, discrezione e ospitalità offerta. Consiglio la casa per una bella vacanza come è stata per noi.
