Very nice central location and easily able to locate from the train station.

Lorenzo was very kind and accommodating for us! The apartment was well equiped and in a nice quite location, but also easily accessible to many places. Would stay again!

Best apartement in Venice

We had the most wonderful stay in Venice! And it was in great part thanks the apartment we rented. The owners, Lorenzo and Maddalena were most helpful, friendly and kind. They truly went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. They met us at the train station and personally brought us to the flat, where cold drinks were waiting for us. They answered our questions and gave us all the information we might need on the apartment, the neighborhood and Venice. They even took the time to show us the closest grocery store! They are truly amazing! As for the apartment itself, it was absolutely perfect! Gorgeous, freshly renovated, luxurious, fully equipped, and clean. There’s everything you need and much more: from fresh towels and linens, to kitchen accessories and breakfast for your first morning in Venice! And the location… you could not possibly ask for a better location! It is right by Santa Maria dei Frari and about 5 minutes from the Rialto. Everything is within a short walk and the neighborhood itself is just awesome. Don’t look anywhere else: you will not find a better apartment! We will definitely be staying here during our next trip to Venice! Thanks again Maddalena & Lorenzo 

We LOVE this apartment!

Thankfully we found this beautiful little place in a residential area very close to the Friar Church in the San Polo district. The apartment is away from the touristy spots and really made us feel at home. Lorenzo had his apartment caretaker, who was such a sweet lady, meet us right by the Church in a little cafe and walk us there to the apartment (10 mins away.) She showed us everything we needed to know and even had a bowl of fresh fruit and pastry waiting for us. Such a nice welcome after a long day of travel. Just outside the apartment, which is EXACTLY as pictured plus so much nicer/bigger than truly expected, there's a great cafe/bar where we stopped many times for coffee and fresh croissants. The owner/bartender was such a nice guy! They also have free wifi for patrons which was a plus. We opted out of a vaporetto pass this trip, mainly because we were in the very center of Venice. We were able to walk absolutly everywhere within 30 mins. It was perfect to escape the busy tourist areas and be able to "come home" down the quiet streets at night. I always felt very safe here. I recommend it to everyone I know, anyone that wants the real feel of living in Venice. We are already planning our next visit with our family. Gratzi Lorenzo for everything!!

Good location but paper thin walls

Location is good if you want to stay in area that is in Venice, feels safe and has everything quite near. There is no air conditioning and the walls are paper thin. People walking on the street sounds like they are in the apartment. If you are a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend this apartment. There is only one bathroom which includes shower and toilet seat. Apartment was clean and cosy. Can’t say much about the host, because we arrived quite late and we didn’t see her after that.

I would like to precise: Walls are paper thin: The flat is located in the perimetric angle of a 1700 years old building. It is at the first of 4 floors. So for these reasons the walls ARE obviously heavy and of a big size, made by big bricks and rock. As all the ancient houses in Venice. People walking on the street are noising: The flat is located in a quite not turistic small street called calle in venetian language. Of course as all the streets in Venice it is small and there are no cars. Peoples can only walk and their shoes makes the usual sound they do on the rocky streets of Venice. There is only one bathroom: Not true. There are two bathrooms. Just one have the shower. Both have the toilets. Air conditioning: There is a portable air conditioning system. Even if the flat is very comfortable and not exposed to the sun. Fresh in september also not using the air cooling system.

Perfect Central Location

We chose this little place because of it's location being almost smack dab in the center of the island of Venice. We were able to access everything by foot and thoroughly enjoyed all the city has to offer. It was a little bit stuffy at night with little fresh air only because there was nothing in the way of cross ventilation. We did have a fan in the bedroom and the living room which was a relief since the heatwave started shortly after we arrived. Slept like logs at night!! We also did not have a mosquito problem as mentioned in another review. We would come back in a heartbeat!!! Thank you!!!

Absolutely a charming apartment. Centrally located and a close walk to everything.

We loved our 3 night stay in this apartment. Maddalena is a charming and gratuitous hostess. You walk in Venice and wonder what’s behind the doors. This is a classic little Venice apartment with charm and beauty. Would highly recommend the apartment.

Alloggio molto confortevole, in posizione comoda e in uno dei quartieri più belli di Venezia. Peccato che sia davvero molto buio, ma essendo a piano terra in una calla stretta non si puo' pretendere di più!

"Wohnen" im Herzen von Venedig

Die Wohnung ist stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet: zentrale Lage (10 Min. nach Ferrovia Santa Lucia, 5 Min. zu Vaporetto San Tomà) -Geschäfte u. Bars, Erdgeschoß in engen Gassen. Man fühlt den Puls und hört den Sound von Venedig. Die Küchenausstattung erfordert Improvisationstalent, aber wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Besonderes "Dankeschön" an Signora Maddalena!!!

Good location

The property was in a quieter section of Venice, which was definitely needed when staying during the busy season. It was difficult to find, but this is to be expected with so many small streets (some without signs), and google maps not playing ball. The property manager was lovely, and came to meet us when we couldn't find where we had to go. The apartment itself was quite dark and had fans instead of air conditioning, which is fine if you don't plan to spend any time there during the day. Although a little quirky, the shower is spacious with good water pressure. The bed was ok, but it would be worth the owner getting more comfortable pillows.

L'appartement est bien situé géographiquement à 500 m environ de la place St Marc. Appartement propre, bien équipé. Seul bémol : l'isolation. On entend les gens passer dans la rue et on entend le bruit de l'appartement du dessus. j'ai bien apprécié la propreté et l'agencement de l'appartement de style vénitien. Très correct, je le recommande.

L'appartement a été absolument parfait pour notre séjour en couple , situé dans un quartier calme mais proche de toutes les commodités , l'appartement est comme neuf , disposé avec fonctionnalité et gout et il vous apportera tout le confort , à louer les yeux fermés. Lorenzo a été d'une gentillesse et d'une disponibilité exemplaire , relation basée sur une confiance absolue de sa part envers nous. Nous connaissons très bien Venise et l'accueil a été l'un des meilleurs connu merci pour tout Lorenzo et à bientot

Que de bons souvenirs !

L'appartement est très bien situé dans un quartier calme tout en étant à seulement quelques minutes de Piazzale Roma, du vaporetto et du centre historique. Cette situation permet de profiter pleinement des visites classiques de Venise mais aussi de la vie plus authentique des Vénitiens. Tout en étant de caractère, l'appartement est fonctionnel et bien équipé, jolie vaisselle et mobilier de qualité. Le linge de toilette est en abondance, les produits d'entretien classiques pour la cuisine sont à disposition. Nous avons gardé pour la fin l'accueil très chaleureux de la propriétaire que nous remercions vivement. Venue nous chercher à Piazzale Roma, elle nous a guidé vers l'appartement (où nous attendaient une coupe de fruits, des biscuits, du chocolat...) et a pris le temps de nous faire découvrir le quartier, les commerces et ses bonnes adresses. Merci encore pour cet excellent séjour.

Astonishing and romantic! The apartment is in a very quiet little street "calle" near a beautiful square that is populated by children and university students. In one of the most comfortable and rich areas of restaurants and services. Easy access to the vaporetti (public boat) and the historical attractions of the city. The apartment is very romantic, each piece of furniture is handmade by artisans especially for this dwelling.
