Excellent home base for exploring the Alps

Riitta and Bernard went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The home is very well equipped, particularly the kitchen which includes a raclette set, ample pots, pans and dishes, and an electric coffee bean grinder. The beds are comfortable as is the living room sofa. The British cable tv was a welcome feature for us English speakers. I gave the location only four stars due to the early morning traffic noise, but that may be due to the considerable construction in the area during the shoulder season. The neighbors are friendly and quiet. We found the small yard delightful, and enjoyed watching the white water kayakers at the nearby Isère River. The cycling and hiking opportunities in and around Bourg are exceptional. We hope to return and wouldn’t hesitate to rent the unit again. Sincere thanks to our hosts!

Very nice family rental

Our stay at the house in Bourg St Maurice was great. A perfect location for cyclists because of the big cols surrounding the city and the perfect weather we enjoyed. The house provided a garage for storing and maintaining the bikes and had enough space for 8 people (4 bedrooms). Kitchen equipment was available in large amounts as was the television, wifi, etc. Some minor things must be noted.The beds were kind of out dated and too small for some of the big guys of our group. We really recommend to get some modern and better beds in the future. Secondly, the road next to the house was noisy, especially early in the morning during rush hour. And there was only one bath room in the house. Since we were a group of eight that was rather insufficient.Also we expected to find a nice garden (ref. picture) that would allow us to enjoy the weather and sun after a long bike ride. However, the garden was next to the busy road and was not cultivated at all, so we had to sit and rest at the backside of the house instead.It seems to be a nice house for a family trip but for a bigger group of adult cyclists the facilities are insufficient

Lovely house

The house is spacious, very tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Sitting just on the edge of town, albeit on a fairly busy road, it is a great base to explore the Isere valley and mountains.

Excellent base for mountain biking in the Alps!

Second stay at this rental, we live it. Great location, clean and comfortable. Really good having a garage to keep the bikes in. Check in / out really simple and rental has all mod cons including a great gas barbecue which we made a lot of use of. Great access to Les Arcs bike park, and just a short trip Val d’Isere park which was awesome! Will definitely be back!

Très bon séjour à Bourg Saint Maurice

La maison est très fonctionnelle, et parfaitement équipée pour y passer un agréable séjour : rien de manque, même des guides et cartes pour les randonnées ! Rarement eu une location aussi bien équipée. Egalement une très bonne literie, un garage pour y entreposer les vélos ou les skis. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très réactifs en cas de problème. La personne qui nous a accueillie est également charmante et a pu nous donner des renseignements sur les alentours. Le seul bémol, c'est la proximité avec une route passante (base nautique pas loin), rendant les matins bruyants si l'on dort les fenêtres ouvertes.

A convenient modern home for rent in the town of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Enjoy skiing in the winter (direct access to Paradiski (Les Arcs and La Plagne, 7 minutes to funicular), very close to La Rosière, Tignes and Val d'Isère), and other sports in the summer: exciting whitewater (canoe/kayak/rafting), beautiful hikes and a lively town center.
