Utterly spectacular views and quality apartment

We had a fantastic time in Malvies thanks to this superb villa. It’s immaculately presented with stunning views over the Pyrenees and wine valleys below. Thankfully the weather was good in parts this Easter, as we enjoyed glasses of local wine sitting on the terrace as the sun set over the huge pool. The villa is well stocked with the usual kitchen equipment and the local bakery provides bread and pastries if you get up early enough! A final word of thanks to Bob who went over and above to make us feel welcome for our trip. Would love to stay here again in future.

Tranquillité et détente au milieu des vignes

La villa est très confortable, avec une vue exceptionnelle et un espace piscine des plus agréables. Beaucoup de beaux sites à visiter alentour, c’est un point de chute idéal pour qui veut découvrir l’occitanie et se rafraîchir au retour dans la piscine... Nous recommandons vivement et remercions Robert pour sa prévenance !

Superbe Villa

Très bon séjour à la Villa Rose située dans un quartier calme. Les pièces sont spacieuses et bien équipées. La terrasse est bien aménagée avec une superbe vue. La piscine chauffée est grande. Je recommande.

Mooie, ruime villa met een prachtig uitzicht! De villa is nog mooier dan de foto's doen vermoeden. Alleen jammer dat de terassen niet overdekt waren daar het weer jammerlijk niet zo goed was.

Beautiful views. Plenty of outside seating/sun umbrellas. House and beds very comfortable. Pool great. Easy access to surrounding villages and towns. Large supermarket not too far away. Bakery a few minutes walk from the house. We have had a lovely holiday here. This was a great find in a lovely part of France and we hope to come again.

Lovely villa - very relaxing.

The villa is just as pictured, very roomy, the village so very quiet. We hardly saw a soul all week. Lovely to relax of an evening looking at the vineyards watching the sun go down. We had some amazing electrical storms watching them light up the hills in the distance. Tips: the boulangerie in the village actually now only opens between 9-10 am. You have to order what you want for the next day. There is no welcome pack in the villa, though states there is - was a shame for us as we arrived on Bastille day & all shops closed. Milk would have been greatly appreciated. Do be careful of uneven steps going in and out the villa as hubby tripped first day, and hurt knee badly. Unable to swim all week. Lovely supermarket nearby and you must have a meal at the Gayda vineyard. Lovely food.

Stunning Villa

This was our 4th stay at this stunning property , basically because the Villa is ideal for our sort of holiday. A top quality property in a quiet village location surrounded by vineyards and with the most glorious views. Additionally there is plenty to see within easy driving distance from the coast, to the pyrenees , and there are numerous excellent but reasonable restaurants , a new one of which we seem to find every time we go. We are booking again for next year. The Villa is comfortable, well appointed and with every amenity you could want.

An amazing villa with a fabulous view and a wonderful pool

The property was lovely we had BBQ's most evenings sat outside on the terrace with the wonderful view of the countryside and mountains. The living area was very comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms well equipped. Thanks you for such wonderful accommodation

Steps everywhere....it is not disabled friendly

The view is fantastic but our main problems were our son who has mobility problems and occasionally uses a wheelchair....the entrance in is very uneven....lots of trip hazards and steps out to the patio area and to the pool....lots of them. I see the disabled sign is advertised on the info for the property and I would question this. Also it advertises a bread shop within walking distance.....this wasn’t open. The other problem was (and to be fair we didn’t ask this question before hand ) the pool is not heated and was freezing so we didn’t use it the whole two weeks we were there and we felt we had paid for something we didn’t use so unfortunately this property is not suitable for us and we are highly unlikely to return. One positive is the lovely couple we spoke to a couple of times that oversee the property were very helpful.

This is a luxury villa

We were very impressed with the size and facilities this villa offered. A breakfast terrace to enjoy your croissant in the morning sun, to a rear terrace to enjoy a barbecue in the evening looking at the stunning view over the Pyrenees. We chose to relax by the pool a couple of days and travel to see the sights the rest of the week we were there. There is plenty to see and visit within a 1hr drive and towards the end of our week we found ourselves planning our next trip to see those we had missed and further explore those we had not given ourselves enough time at. The upstairs master bedroom en suite with a Jacuzzi was great touch to help relax after a long day walking up to see the castle of Montsegur. All in a great place in a lovely location

Fantastic Villa with Fabulous views

This was our second visit to this Villa, and it was just as remembered from our first visit a year ago. This time we took two friends with us and they were also blown away with the quality of the Villa and the fantastic views. I am rather loathe to recommend this Villa as that will mean it will get busier and harder to book again in future, but in the spirit of good will I can only reconfirm that of a number of previous properties we have stayed in, this is by far the best. The Villa is situated in the small village of Malvies, surrounded by fields of grape vines and sun flowers, and has stunning uninterrupted views towards the Pyrenees. It is a short drive to the town of Limoux, where there is a large L'eclerc supermarket, shops and a picturesque square with restaurants and all amenities. The city of Carcassone is a 20 minute drive, and has to be seen to be believed. The Villa itself is better than the photographs portray, and has all amenities, white goods, crockery and cooking utensils you could imagine. All in all a perfect choice and we will be revisiting as soon as possible.

Wunderbarer neuer Pool, großes Haus in ruhiger, ländlicher Lage.

Sehr großes Haus mit herrlichem Pool und netter Betreuung vor Ort. Traumhafter Panoramablick! An der Ausstattung des Hauses könnte man noch ein wenig arbeiten. Ansonsten nichts zu beanstanden, große Küche, parken auf dem eingezäunten Grundstück, sehr gute Abstellmöglichkeit für unsere Räder in der Garage. Insgesamt eine tolle Immobilie, in der man sich bestens erholen kann!

A first class Villa in a beautiful location with stunning views

The photographs of the Villa which we had seen do not do it justice. It is by far the best Villa we have stayed in ( and we have stayed in a few ). We had the top floor bedroom with en suite shower and jacuzi bath, together with its own terrace and together it provides a marvellous feeling of luxury. The amenities in the whole Villa are second to none, with every conceivable requirement provided, and the overall feeling of homeliness ( comfortable furniture, english satellite tv etc ) was lovely. The pool is large and well cared for with a safety cover ( important for all with children ) and very welcome on the hot days. For us by far the top attraction was the Villas position and the stunning view which on a clear day extended to the snow capped range of the pyrenees. The village itself is quiet ( which we like ) but with a car is within easy reach of shops, restaurants ( we highly recommend the very local Le Domaine Gayda ) and all the attractions of this area. It is strikingly obvious that the Villa owners have gone out of their way to provide a top quality experience for all those who are lucky enough to stay, but they have also managed to do it with the added benefit of feeling comfortable, like a home from home. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay , and are already planning a return. If you like a beautiful location, with stunning views and want to stay in a first class Villa with all the amenities which enables you to kick back and thoroughly chill out, then this is the one for you.

Family holiday

We spent an excellent week at the Villa and were hugely impressed with the standard of accommodation, the excellent pool and the beautiful scenery. There was much to see and do for our family (children aged 21, 12 and 5) in the surrounding areas of Carcassonne and Limoux. We didn't get the time to visit places close by such as Montpellier, Andorra and Barcelona, but next time we stay, (and we will be back) we will definitely take advantage of the Villa's great location. An excellent holiday and can't wait to go back again.

We love the area around Carcassonne and Limoux and have been visiting here for many years. The people are very friendly and the Mediterranean climate means warm long summers and mild winters.

Its long been a dream of ours to own a holiday home in this part of France and we are delighted that our dream has now become a reality. Eventualy we hope to relocate here and conpletely immerse ourselves in the Languadoc way of life but until our kids Thomas and Jasmine fly the nest and our lottery numbers come up we will have to content ourselves with enjoying a couple of weeks each year and take pleasure in sharing our home with guests.

So a little bit about the villa. Its set in the Malpare hills looking south towards the Pyrenees. The fields of vines surrounding the villa are part of the Gayda Domain, a domain that prides itself on organic farming methods. The grapes are still picked by hand each year making September a great time to visit. There is nothing better than sitting on the terrace drinking wine watching other people work :-) Gayda Domain is about a 1 mile walk down the lane or a 2 minute drive away and has a fantastic restaurant which is well worth a visit.
The villa has 3 double bedrooms and an annex to the master bedroom with a single bed. There is a king size double bed in the master suite and an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and private upper terrace, great for morning coffee. The two downstairs bedrooms have a kingsize double in the rear bedroom with views to the mountains and two single beds in the third bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen and open plan dining and lounge area with remote control wood burner. Great if you are using the villa in winter as a base for skiing, which is only an hour away.
Outside there is a breakfast terrace to the side, an upper terrace and bbq area at the rear and a lower terrace and garden with a 10 x 5 meter pool. All south facing with stunning views of the vines and the mountains.
