Comfortable flat close to the beach

We were on a family trip from the US. The flat was in a convenient location. It was a an easy train ride to San Sebastián. The back was a short walk and the walk to Getaria

Great place to stay in Zarautz!

Great Place to stay in Zarautz! The Apartment is spacious, cozy and well equipped. The location is very good: A three minute walk to one of the best parts of the Zarautz Beach with a good spot to surf and a nice Beach Café. You can grab your board and walk down to the beach in your wetsuite. The hosts were very friendly, responsive and uncomplicated. We had a small issue with the WIFI and Amaia was very shortly after we reported it coming by to fix it. She also gave us a lot of insights on what to do in the area and which Restaurants are popular by locals from the Region. So I definitely recommend this apartment if you stay in Zarautz and especially if you plan to surf there.

Everything you need in a wonderful apartment

We are a family of 4 who stayed in Zarautz mid October. This is a special apartment, the interior and furnishings have been creatively put together by the owners, with some really lovely design touches throughout. Light streams in through the windows to give a really bright and airy feel to the interior spaces. Everything feels new, especially the bathrooms and kitchen, which are spotless and pristine. As described, the location is a very short walk to the beach and coastal paths. At the end of the road there is a fantastic cafe overlooking the beach. A really great location. One thing to note, the apartment is adjacent to a busy road. We live in London, so the ambience did not bother us, but if you are looking for a very quiet setting be aware of this feature. Finally, Amaia & Aberri are wonderful hosts. So welcoming and available to help with any questions about the local area. This is a true 5 star rating for a 5 star experience.

Excelente ubicación y gran comodidad para explorar la costa guipuzcoana

La comodidad, modernidad y limpieza del espacio. También la ubicación y los objetos, tenía juegos(y un puzzle ¡con todas las piezas!), películas y libros para los días de lluvia, gran cantidad de enseres de cocina y espacio de almacenamiento. Además, nos resolvieron amablemente cualquier duda. Se me ocurre un perchero a la entrada y más espacio para dejar neceseres en el baño al lado del salón.

Appartement proche de l’océan et de toutes commodités (bus, supermarché, restaurant). Tout est très fonctionnel et très propre, c’est un appartement qui est décorer avec goût et adapté pour 6 personnes. Les hôtes sont très gentilles, attentionnées et présentes ! Je recommande le logement :) Nice apartment near the sea, bus, restaurant and market ! The host are really friendly and smiling. I recommend you this appartment :)

Es uno de los pocos apartamentos que pude encontrar que estuviera adaptado, y con todos lo necesario muy cerca del lugar como siempre todo es mejorable, en los baños una barra en la ducha en horizontal de parte de parte ayudaria mejor a poder salir de la ducha.

El apartamento está muy bien cuidado. Tiene todo lo necesario para pasar una estancia como en casa. La ubicación es perfecta, más si se viaja con niños porque hay un parque en la puerta. El garaje muy amplio.

Hemos hecho una larga estancia (2 meses) durante una reforma en una vivienda para adaptar un baño para una persona mayor. Todo lo que se me ocurre es positivo. Ubicación excelente. Zona muy tranquila con servicios muy próximos (farmacia, panadería, supermercado). Muy bien comunicado (bus, tren próximos). Muy bien equipada (electrodomésticos, menaje). Uno de los baños está adaptado. Sin problemas para mover una persona dependiente desde la calle. Muy recomendable.

Lovely stay!

Our stay was wonderful! The location is great for families. There is a playground just downstairs, and the beach is just a 3 minute walk away. The hosts are very easy to communicate with and very sweet. We hope to come back one day!

El lugar tiene una decoración y detalles increíbles, además de una vista espectacular. Está en la parte alta de Getaria, que es un lugar muy bonito que vale la pena visitar, se puede ir a San Sebastian y Zarauz en poco tiempo. Les recomiendo ver bien la ruta para llegar ya que el mismo GPS marcó 3 rutas diferentes de las cuales sólo 1 era de fácil acceso. Sin duda es un lugar al que regresaría y excede las expectativas.

Very comfortable hideaway flat with trees and garden with playground nearby to screen from the road.

Owner was very helpful with excellent knowledge about the area and where to eat etc. It is a delightful three bedroomed flat, very comfortable, well equipped, clean and close to all the amenities with the sea only two short blocks away. Surfing heaven with lots of places to have lessons, hire wet suits, boards etc. Even one small company on the apartment site. There is one car parking space with the property in underground area. Car Parking is very difficult in the town generally but there is an excellent very regular bus service that runs to and from Centre of Bilbao (including airport stop) to San Sebastian via Zarautz. We used the buses as they were quicker than going by car! You do need to get your bus ticket 45 mins before the departure time so that the driver knows he has a customer before he leaves either of the cities. Bus stop 6 -7 minute walk so close to flat. Lovely town with lots of independent shops, daily market (except Sunday) as well as useful supermarkets. Nearest one just 3 minutes away from the flat. Of course, being a foody area there are lots of places to find food and the owner will provide you with a local guide about them. Do try the icecreams on the front during the afternoon promenade! Cannot fault this property at all.

Die Wohnung ist sehr hell, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles was benötigt wird ist vorhanden. Die Betreuung durch die Gastgeberinnen war sehr gut. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

El apartamento nos pareció estupendo y estuvimos allí muy a gusto. La decoración acogedora, las camas cómodas, los baños y la cocina con todo lo necesario; rodeada de árboles y con una pequeña terraza muy agradable. Absolutamente recomendable.

Estupenda estancia en Zarautz con Aterian

Apartamento muy bonito, luminoso, moderno y limpio, con todo lo necesario para que la familia se sienta como en casa en Zarautz. Ubicado en la zona del restaurante Arguiñano, a dos calles de la playa, en un recinto tranquilo y seguro, con parque infantil al lado. El parking es un plus importantísimo en Zarautz, donde cada año se hace más difícil aparcar. Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos con Aterian, y supone una garantía; tanto las fotos como la descripción escrita del apartamento son fieles a la realidad. Tratar con las hermanas Amaia y Aberri siempre es grato, lo hacen todo muy fácil. Totalmente recomendable, volveremos.

Clean, cozy, comfortable and conveniently located apartment

We came from France as a family for 10-day summer vacation in July-August 2017. We had a wonderful time. Amaia and Aberri thought of every details to make their guests comfortable. Our only comment for improvement is the lack of cloth storage space in two of the rooms. ALso, even though it did not bother us, some people might find the occasional noise coming from the near-by street distubing. We would certainly not hesitate to come back if we have the opportunity.
