Debbie, Your mistake about checkout time could have been prevented if you had read on line when you did your booking, or read the notice that is posted right next to the door you used when going outside or even read the notice that was left on the kitchen table. We waited until 10:30 AM before coming to the cabin where we found all of you still sleeping. Upon waking you up and reminding you that you were supposed to have checked out by then, I proceeded to start drying the dishes you had left by the sink and putting them away, this took nearly ½ an hour. That amount of time should have been enough for your daughter to get the children dressed and moving. After putting away the dishes I went upstairs to start cleaning only to find your daughter and her husband still getting children moving. My thought was that if i went upstairs, I'd be out of your way for all the packing you had to do downstairs. As for your having to pack up in the rain. I am sorry for that, but the rain didn't start until at least an hour after your checkout time. As for your son's jet ski........we never touched it, nor did we say it couldn't be left where it was until after the storm. Unlike a motel, we can't allow guests to check out late as we must have the cabin ready for the next guest who are coming in later that day, and the next guest were asking (just like you did) if there was a possibility of checking in early. I was surprised to find that you had packed more than the allowed 6 guests in the cabin without offering to pay the extra for the added people, but I have left that go and just consider it a lesson learned by me. As to the chair you mentioned, I found a bolt had broken in the mechanism and have since repaired it, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

We do what we can to make everyone's stay enjoyable. Glad you guys caught so many big fish. Enjoyed your company too.

We were happy that you were able to fulfill an item on your "bucket list" by bringing your daughters and granddaughters for a vacation at the same place where you used to come as a child. As for the odor you experienced in the bathroom, we are unable to detect anything and neither are the present renters. But we will keep an eye on the possible problem.
