The apartment was clean, well-equipped and very light and pleasant. The shower was excellent! It was well placed within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants. It is on the third floor and we found this a bit of a barrier for getting our luggage in, but it was good exercise!

Great apartment for visiting NW France

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St. Malo. The apartment was spotless and well appointed, located on a quiet street convenient to everything. The owner and Véronique were very helpful. It was convenient to stay here and make day trips all over the region.

Living inside the ramparts

The flat had everything I needed. Unfortunately, I spent a week w/o wifi and that was enormously frustrating.I only learned on my last day it was because of the walls that blocked the signal. I felt very disconnected and wasted a lot of time trying to figure it out. Otherwise, the beaches were beautiful and so glad I chose St Malo.The hosts were very gracious and did their best to assist.

Great stay in St-Malo

We spent 4 nights here in late Sept 2019. Our host was easy to communicate with and he offered transportation to and from the train station which saved us a 20 minute walk. The apartment, located inside the old walled city was on a quiet square with plenty of light coming in through several windows on two sides. It appears to have been completely remodeled recently with a nice walk-in shower and high end kitchen appliances. and was the perfect size for the two of us. It was set up like a large, open studio but had a pocket door type telescoping wall that offered separation between the bedroom area and living/kitchen area if needed. The bed was a bit firm for my taste and was somewhat small (double) but overall the apartment was very comfortable and made for a great stay in St-Malo.

Everything we Needed and Great Quality too

Just to get the only slightly negative thing out of the way first: Saint-Malo Intra Muros is a very difficult place to navigate and drive through - at least at first. We only wanted to park outside the apartment for a few minutes so that we could unload our bags, but finding our way through the narrow cobbled streets with a bewidering one-way system was a nightmare. Perhaps it should be a difficult place to drive though to discourage vehicles in this beautiful ancient city but we found it a bit frightening. Once we got to know the place it was much easier and we left our car in the Q-Parks underground (pre-booked online) car park which was a pleasant 8-9 minute walk away. The apartment was just as described in the Vrbo listing. It had all we needed and more too. And everything - fittings, furnishings and fabrics were very good quality. It was perfect for the two of us. The private owner obviously wants things to be just right and puts quality above profit. It was very clean and well maintained. There were lots of electrical outlets. The apartment is in a great location, in one of the many beautiful granite buidings and the windows looked out onto a lovely street/square with a cafe on the pavement below. The owner was very helpful, accommodating and responded to all our queries before we visited. The lady (Véronique) who prepared the flat perfectly for us, was very pleasant, greeted us kindly and went to some trouble to ensure we understood everything and how it worked. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience and I'm sure we will remember it fondly for a long time.

Die Ferienwohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In der Küche sind alle notwendigen Utensilien vorhanden. In der Wohnung ist es nachts ruhig. Gleich um die Ecke hat man herrliche Aussichten und Möchkeiten für tolle Spaziergänge. Ganz in der Nähe sind alle Geschäfte und Restaurants, oben in der Wohnung ist kein Lärm davon zu hören. Gerne wieder!

L’appartement est idéalement situé dans la ville close, au 3e étage sans ascenseur… Calme, très propre, décoré avec goût, il possède tous les équipements nécessaires pour un séjour agréable (four, micro-ondes, lave vaisselle, lave linge)… Le parking-relais bus permet de laisser son véhicule à moindre coût (3,30/24h avec ticket pour bus gratuit pour 24h) et de rejoindre Saint Malo intra muros en une dizaine de minutes.. Séjour top dans un appartement super avec un gros point fort pour la propreté. Bravo ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Stilecht Intra muros in St. Malo

Inmitten der historischen Stadtbefestigung gelegen, ist die Ferienwohnung ein kleiner feiner Edelstein, ideal in der Größe für ein Paar. Die Wohnung ist mit Geschmack eingerichtet, hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung, ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der Wohnbereich mit Küche kann mittels Schiebewand vom Schlafbereich abgetrennt werden.Promenade, Strand, Cafés, Restaurants oder Bäcker sind fußläufig. Für An- und Abreise kann man den Pkw am Place des Herbs mit Parkgebühr parken. Wir haben für die Dauer unseres Aufenthaltes einen kostenfreien Parkplatz außerhalb intra muros genutzt, fußläufig ca. 20 min entfernt.Die Kommunikation und Schlüsselübergabe waren tadellos.Wir können das Appartement sehr empfehlen.

Nous décernerions cinq étoiles Michelin à l’appartement si les appartements étaient dans une catégorie recevant de tels classements. Il est lumineux grâce aux belles fenêtres s’allignant au long des deux murs extérieurs et s’ouvrant sur une vue des maisons et des rues de cette spendide ville. On y trouve tout ce qu’il faut pour préparer et savourer des repas, à l’aide aussi de plusieurs bons commerces à proximité. L’emplacement de l’appartement nous a surtout plu du fait qu’il est situé à cinq minutes de marche du segment le plus magnifique des remparts, d’où le panorama marin est superbe et, à la marée basse, on accède au Grand Bé. Nous nous sommes d’autant plus enchantés de Saint-Malo que Pierre-Olivier Bayec, le propriètaire de l’appartement et un vrai gentleman, nous l’a fait visiter mettant en valeur ses vastes connaissances et son expérience personnelle. Lui aussi mériterait cinq étoiles.

Très bon séjour dans la cité Corsaire

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à saint Malo. L’appartement est conforme à sa description et aux photos. Très propre, très lumineux et très bien équipé (notamment pour celles et ceux qui cuisinent), il est très calme et silencieux bien qu’au cœur de la ville. Places de parking disponibles au pied de l’immeuble. L’accueil et la récupération des clés s’effectuent avec une personne physique (ce qui change et est bien plus agréable que les boites à clés à code) originaire de la région et de bons conseils sur la ville. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans quelques mois.
