As decades-long veterans of vacation rentals, we were absolutely delighted with this lovely home. It couldn't have been in a more perfect location, or been better suited for a week of relaxation. Our hostess Deborah clearly considered every detail about the comfort of her guests, and we're very grateful for that. The kitchen had all that we needed (and then some), there were enough linens, towels and cushions for a small army, and the décor was perfect.
I will admit that it took me a few minutes to figure out how to use an induction stove-top for the first time, but once I had it down, I was impressed with the speed and functionality of this cooking surface. The modern heater/air conditioners in every room, on the other hand, were a snap to turn on and regulate.
And then there's the outdoor space! It was AMAZING! For one thing, there was a huge lawn at the front of the house with a massive umbrella, a hammock, multiple tables with plenty of chairs, and several chaise lounges. (Oh, and there were crank-out awnings around the front porch.)
Between the house and the curved driveway was another large area surrounded by a garden made up largely of every herb you can imagine, and on this side of the house there is an additional large, covered dining space.
The final surprise (and delight) was a separate private terrace overlooking the sea. More comfortable furniture, a charcoal barbeque enclosure, a cold water shower, and, well, a view to kill for! We watched every sunset from this vantage point, which resulted in some amazing photos.
The nearby cove was an easy five minute walk on the main path (we didn't try the steeper one immediately next to the house), and it's a beautiful spot. It not only had fascinating rock formations, but also crystal-clear water and a cute little white sand beach.
We will absolutely be coming back!
