Very spacious and well equipped apartment. We stayed with our dear friend so the 2 bedrooms were appreciated Everything was comfortable and the WiFi was strong. Jean Marc was wonderful. He greeted us warmly and checked in to be sure we had everything needed.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Lyon. The apartment was just as advertised. Everything was very comfortable and we had no trouble getting around from this location.There are plenty of restaurants as well as grocery stores and a pharmacy nearby.

Pros: The apartment is modern, well-maintained, and situated in an excellent, central location.Cons: Our stay was compromised by two key issues. First, the air conditioning is insufficient for the entire apartment. The single unit in the main room does not effectively cool the bedrooms. Second, the owner remotely monitors and controls the thermostat and prevented us from setting it below 24.5 C (76 F), leading to a lengthy and unnecessary negotiation and case opened with VRBO to get permission to change thermostat to make the bedrooms to a tolerable temperature for sleeping. The check-in was also confusing, as the host after the fact mentioned that we didn't comply with a 2-4PM a check-in window that was not stated on the listing.Overall, the property itself is fine, but the owner's remote micro-management of the A/C and the poor communication made for an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. We cannot recommend this rental for anyone staying during warmer months.

A Perfect Lyon Retreat

This is it! A tree-level, corner unit in an awesome neighborhood. Close to everything yet far enough to be away from the Old Lyon bustle. Roomy, spotless, well-equipped. Jean-Marc was the perfect host, there to greet us and to say goodbye. It was effortless and so enjoyable. Looking forward to a return visit.

Four solid stars

This apartment was clean, comfortable, spacious, well-located and reasonably quiet. Everything expected was there and it all worked as expected. The host, Jean-Marc, was friendy, efficient and helpful. Secure garage parking - which was essential for us - is a couple blocks away however we mostly used public transport during our stay so the bus stop immediately outside the apartment building was very handy.

Comfortable and Quiet Lyon apartment

This 2 bedroom apartment is spacious and clean. It's located in a nice neighborhood near a large park. The bus stops right outside the door and metro is a short walk away. It was so nice to come back to this quiet apartment after a long day of sight seeing. Jean-Marc is by far the best host we've ever had! He was very accommodating.

Ideal rental

What a lovely bright and spacious apartment. The location had a us a short distance to all the premiere spots in Lyon. The very kind owner, Jean Marc met us personally, as we arrived and walked us through everything for our stay. He also was there to see us off safely at the end of our stay. He conscientiously inquired on our well being several times during our time in Lyon to make certain all was well. Jean Marc also arranged for transportation for our family, both to, and from, the airport. What a wonderful experience. Thank you Jean Marc.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and convenient. We enjoyed staying there much more than being in a hotel. Near the beautiful Parc de la Tête D'Or, very close to a bus stop, a Carrefour grocery store, restaurant (Chez Rosa), a gourmet food store (Pignol) and a few blocks from a wonderful bakery (Painpote) as well as the Lyon métro (Foch). Jean-Marc was a helpful and considerate host. Although the street can outside can be a little busy at rush hour, the apartment is very quiet inside - you can barely hear the road noise. We had all the space and supplies we needed for a great stay in Lyon, and even felt a little bit lyonnais for a week.

Beautiful, well-equipped home

This is a beautiful home in a fantastic location. It's clean, spacious and very tastefully decorated. It's also really well equipped with everything you need for a wonderful break. Great Apartment, Terrific Location

Jean-Marc's apartment is beautifully furnished and is very comfortable. We would definitely come back. It's in a more residential neighborhood that is easily walkable to anywhere you want to go. The proximity to the river walk is great for strolls along the city front and access to all the neighborhoods.

Great stay

Large, well-located, clean and nicely furnished property, bus stop outside front door, metro stop a 9 minute walk. Lobby cleaned daily. Host was very accommodating when we had issues and he made every effort to make us feel at home.

Séjour agréable

L'appartement est très agréable, bien placé proche des transports en commun et 8 minutes à pied du vieux Lyon. Un seul bémol la climatisation est bruyante. Sinon très bien et le propriétaire est très agréable.

Lyon living

This apartment was in a great neighborhood. Very close to bus lines, metro. Lyon is incredibly easy to get around in using public transportation. Lots of wonderful restaurants. Most of the shops did not speak much English but were incredibly helpful with sign language and Google translate. Jean Marc was an incredible host, greeted us with a snack when we arrived. The 2 bedroom apartment is quite roomy. Felt like home. Highly recommend!

A Real Gem

Having rented around a dozen apartments over the last few years all over Europe I can say that this apartment is at the top of the list. It is actually more beautiful than it photographs. Spacious, beautifully decorated and completely equipped, you can move in for 3 weeks, 3 months or 3 years. It is the closest to staying in someone's private residece you can get. Location is wonderful. Away from all the tourists but still very close to everything you want to see in Lyon. Public transportation is easy. You get the feel of being in a private high end neighborhood (which you are) and the beautiful park is just a couple of blocks away. We ate at neighborhood restaurants 3 out four nights including Michelin Tako Tanano just 10 minutes away and after one long day ate at the apartment courtesy of Les Halles only a 15 minute walk. Restaurant Steff is just a few blocks as is Chow Mama if you want a change of pace. John Marc could not have been more accommodating Met us on arrival and gave us a complete tour of where everything was and how it worked. He also met us on checkout and helped us with bags to our driver. If you are going to Lyon and want a true Lyonnaise experience, this is it.

Lyon experience

Our host welcomed us to a spacious and spotless apartment with all necessities provided. Great location ... near shops and supplies. We were able to walk to our venues of interest ... enjoyed the park nearby and the sights of old Lyon. Jean-Marc was there to greet us and answered all our concerns promptly. Great VRBO!
