Peace and Quiet in the hills
Las Casitas is a lovely, spacious property in a small Spanish village in the hills. If you want a quiet place to read that book that you have been looking forward to then relaxing on the sun loungers around the pool is the place for you. Alternatively, if you are a family or a group of friends the same pool can be the focus of your time at Las Casitas with different areas to dine and terraces and patios at different levels to sunbathe. The interior of the house is a mixture of traditional and contemporary and provides welcome shelter from the (dependable) sun if you have overdone it a bit! Excellent wi-fi and access to British television is available. The house is very well equipped with every item that an enthusiastic cook could want, barbeque kit and everything else you can think of - and it even has its own lemon tree in the garden.
The hills/mountains surrounding the village of Los Matreros are really worth exploring both on foot and by car, it would also be excellent for cyclists as road surfaces are generally good with very little traffic on them. Access to the coast and many different beaches is easy from Las Casitas, perhaps the most well-known town locally is Mojacar and it is fun to explore the charming maze of streets of white-washed houses on the side of a steep hillside.
Access by plane is easy, Almeria Airport is an easy drive of around an hour and a half from Las Casitas.
