Bij aankomst stond Miranda ons op het afgesproken tijdstip op te wachten, huurwagen in de afgesloten garage geplaatst en met lift naar 2de verdieping. Heel net appartement met werkelijk alle voorzieningen aanwezig. Parasols hoef je zelfs niet mee te nemen. Mooi uitzicht op zee en de jachthaven. Rolluiken in elke kamer voor een goede nachtrust. Groot zwembad met apart bad voor de kleintjes. Het appartement is zeer netjes en de eigenaar Gerard doet er alles aan om zijn gasten een top verblijf aan te bieden. Heb werkelijk geen klachten. Bedankt Gerard en Miranda voor de goede service en een leuke vakantie!

Heel mooi appartement dat voldoet aan alle wensen gelegen in een hele nette buurt in Albufera. Gastheer Gerard had voor ons een taxi geregeld die ons ophaalde van de luchthaven en bij het verblijf stond Miranda ons op te wachten voor een rondleiding en de sleutel. Haven, strand en supermarkt zijn op loopafstand maar houdt rekening met enkele stijle hellingen. Dat het appartement hoogt ligt geeft mooie uitzichten maar pittige klimmetjes. Zeer fijne vakantie gehad met ons gezin!

Great host, communication and information with Gerard was excellent, very clear and detailed, upon arrival we met with Miranda who again gave full details and assistance. Locatìon of the apartment was really good, access to Old Town and the Marina within 10 to 15 minutes walk, we all loved the pool, overall rating was excellent from us.

Mixed thoughts

Miranda who helped get us checked in was very helpful.The apartment is well presented, comfortable and well kitted out.The views are very good from all balconies.No air con which was tough, especially through the night. Washing machine didn’t clean clothes well.No ball games allowed. No inflatables allowed in swimming pool.Property manager communication was poor. He tried to charge additional people staying in our apartment !

Wonderful Stay In Albuferia

Amazing views from the balcony. This condo suited our needs for the 14 days we were there. Walking distance to most places. The walk down was generally good but the walk back up with groceries might be challenging for some people. Use Uber as it was very cheap and readily available. Overall, the complex was great!

Spotless Apartment

We found the apartment to be very spacious and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you could possibly wish for. The apartment is situated on a fairly steep hillside which entailed a 15/20 minute walk to the "Old Town" (the use of Ubers for the return journey was extremely useful and not expensive), the location afforded a wonderful sea view and also overlooked the attractive swimming pool. Gerard was very helpful arranging the transfers etc, and resolving a small issue on our departure. Over all it was a very enjoyable stay! Wendy and Geoff.

Great stay in Albufeira

We had a great holiday in Albufeira and the apartment is very nice and equipped with everything you could need including dishwasher. The apartment has 2 balconies one of which has a wonderful sea view and the other one overlooks the swimming pool. The apartment is located up a steep hill and if you have mobility issues would recommend using taxis or tuk tuk which aren't expensive. Tuk tuk is a fun way of seeing the sights but worth checking prices with a more than one operator. Thanks to Gerard for a very pleasant stay. Andy and Stella

Fantastic Apartment

We had a wonderful weeks stay at Encosta Da Orada. The apartment is much more spacious than the photos make it appear. Nothing has been spared in providing everything you need to make it a home from home. The communal swimming pool is great and we never had a problem with sun beds, people actually take their towels with them when they leave!! It’s a short walk down the hill into the Old Town or Marina areas. It’s quite a steep climb back, which we had no problem with, but on a few occasions we just jumped in an Uber which was only 3 to 4 Euros. Gerard was a great host, providing a comprehensive guide to the area and arranging airport transfers with an extremely reliable company. We don’t often visit the same place twice as a family as we like to see as many places as possible but we would certainly book this apartment again if we return.

Great holiday!

Wonderful holiday. The apartment is large, airy and spotless. Pool fantastic. Great location too! Highlights included a day out on the Finimaris sailboat (booked at the Marina). And we took the kids to Slide and Splash (suggest getting their early to bag a sun bed or 2) - excellent waterpark. Beaches also excellent but water a little chilly! Loads of great spots to eat too. Taberna do Pescador (fresh fish) Olympique (tapas, squid and tuna amazing!), Mi Sombrero (randomly a brilliant mexican place) and Beach Basket (great for a quick bite). All in the Old Town. Used Uber to get most of further out places and supermarket. Was really good value, like it used to be in UK! Never had to wait more than 2 or 3 mins. And Gerard who owns the apartment was really helpful, providing great guidance for the area and most of the recommendations (and more) in my review. Highly recommend!

Nice spacious apartment with lovely views

Gerard's apartment was perfect for our stay in Albufeira and within easy walking distance of the Marina, old town and town beaches. We found it was also very easy to get an Uber to some of the lovely beaches down the coast to the west which we did on several occasions. Everything went very smoothly and Gerard's notes about the local area and how to get to different places were very useful. It was also great to have use of the pool on site which was never too crowded.

Great apartment in great location

From the moment we booked this holiday communication with Gerard was fantastic. On arrival Nicky met us at apartment and gave us a tour. Apartment was spotlessly clean with every amenity you could wish for, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, plenty of crockery and cutlery and a welcome pack which was much appreciated. Views from both balconies fantastic, one overlooking the Marina and Old Town, the other the fantastic pool area. The pool area is spotlessly clean with lots of sunbeds. The apartment is located a 10 to 15 minute walk from Old Town and Marina. The apartment is located at the top of quite a steep hill which wasn't a problem for us but those with mobility issues may find this an issue but taxis from both places only cost 5 or 6 Euros. Overall a fantastic experience and we would book this apartment again.

Amazing week in Albufeira

We really enjoyed staying at this apartment while visiting Albufeira. It is a beautiful spot-awesome views, great pool for kids, and tennis. You can access the marina to go on various excursions or the fishermen’s beach within 10-15 walking depending on who you’re walking with. It is high up, therefore the great views, but walking home is slower (at least in my case). We took Ubers easily to places farther away. The apartment itself is so well organized. When Gerard says you only need your towel and sunscreen he isn’t kidding. We cooked many meals here and it felt like a true home. This would be a great spot for staying much longer as well! Thank you for your hospitality and kindness- it was a great trip to the Algarve!

Enjoyed the condo , it was as advertised, very clean with a pleasant view from balcony . Short walks to both Marina an old town , but not easy walking back to condo as it is a tad steep . Great exercise though .

Albufeira stay

Well maintained and secure location, splendid views of the Harbour and partly the sea front. Only minor issue was it was very hilly and some distance from the main shops and restaurants, having said that the advantage of being slightly further away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town heavily outweighs any thing else.

Super appartement, avec tout le nécessaire, la literie est excellente, la cuisine est bien équipée

La résidence est très bien entretenu et sécurisé. les piscines sont top, toutefois il ne faut pas frileux elles ne sont pas chauffés, mais avec cette chaleur ça fait du bien. Si vous n’êtes pas véhiculé, les taxis et Uber sont très abordables. La résidence étant nichée sur une colline. Nous avons passé un super séjour à Albufeira.

Es war einfach super. Die Wohnung ist toll, hat alles! mehr als man braucht. Die Pools sind super, der Balkon zum Meer richtig schön! Ich könnte viel mehr positives schreiben, bräuchte aber viel mehr Platzt für meinen Text ;)

Excellent apartment with great view

The apartment is very clean and modern with plenty of space and a nice balcony. Very well equiped kitchen to allow cooking and eating in if needs be. A fair sized swimming pool and a separate paddling pool is also very good. Really enjoyed our stay.
