Carlos was very kind and helpful. We didn’t meet him but he was responsive on WhatsApp. The house is lovely and cosy and has beautiful views. We’d love to come back in the summer!

Great communication and directions from the host. However the double bed was very uncomfortable, can feel the springs, suggest a new mattress. Sofa in lounge was also not very comfortable, suggest some improvements to the soft furnishings.

Very beautiful house, everything was clean and the house was fully equipped. Communication worked very well. It was just perfect! We highly recommend coming here.

Zwei tolle Wochen in diesem wunderbaren Ferienhaus. Es war alles, wie beschrieben. Auf Fragen hat Carlos schnell und hilfreich geantwortet. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist schon nicht alltäglich aber gut zu schaffen, im Zweifelsfall sollte man einen Mietwagen mit Automatik wählen. Carlos hatte uns zur Begrüßung ein Zufahrtsvideo geschickt, coole Idee. Danke nocheinmal!

Lovely house, stunning location

We had a brilliant week staying in this beautiful house. House was lovely and well eqipped, lovely views. We had a good small hire car, which you will need to access this house. The road to the property is very steep and narrow. This may could be a challenge for the faint hearted, however house owner will send you a detailed video near the time of your stay. Excellent communication with Carlis the owner, and we would stay there again.

Tolles Chalet mit grosser Terrasse und tollen Blick

Das Chalet mit der sehr steilen Zufahrt liegt idyllisch an einem Berghang mit Meerblick.Direkt an einem rauschenden Bach.Keine Parkmöglickkeit direkt am Haus darüber sollte man sich bewusst sein.Die Terrasse mit Grillbereich haben wir jeden Tag genutzt.Im Oktober liegt alles im Schatten, es war sehr viel Holz vorhanden ,das wir nutzten.Der Wohn und Essbereich ist mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet.Waschmaschine und Trockner vorhanden, da es im Norden sehr feucht ist braucht man den Trockner.In der ersten Etage befinden sich zwei Schlafzimmer und Toilette.Carlos ist ein sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber.Wir hatten in den 7 Tag zwar viel Regen konnten aber trotzdem tolle Wanderungen unternehmen.Rundum eine sehr schöne Zeit.

Well stocked house with great sea views

The house is good but on a steep hill. The 2 bedrooms are adjoining which is not ideal for 2 couples. Communication with Carlos was excellent. The house has a large terrace with barbeque.

An idyllic spot

A lovely location in the hills above Ponta Delgada. You need a good car, as the road up is steep, and some ability to cope with a tight reverse. But these are minor niggles. The house is comfortable, has great views over the sea, and a lovely terrace. We particularly enjoyed using the open fire and barbecue. Thank you Carlos (our host, who is also really helpful and welcoming).

Great place with ocean view

Nice quiet place at the steep slope of the mountain. Marvelous view on the ocean. The house is fully equipped with whatever you will need. Carlos kept contact to answer the few questions whose answers were not obvious. The way up there is no for the fainthearted, extremely steep and narrow road on the last 200m. The only thing you should be aware of is that there are two bedrooms, but one of them is not standalone, i.e. one needs to pass through it when leaving/entering the second bedroom.

Joli chalet situé à l'écart et au calme (pas d'autres bruits que le chant des oiseaux et celui de la levada du jardin) te,l que nous l'avions recherché. Une vue magnifique sur la côte, malgré les nuages fréquents sur la côte nord. Un maison bien équipée et bien située pour rayonner sur la côte nord et jusqu'à Funchal. L'accès en voiture est un peu sportif mais on s'y fait...

Sehr ruhig, phantastische Lage, dramatische Steilküste, Regen & Nebel im Frühjahr inklusive

Das Haus liegt hoch über dem Ort Ponta Delgada und ist bestens geeignet für Naturliebhaber. Wir hatten ein wenig Pech mit dem Wetter, aber das kann man wirklich nicht dem Haus oder dem Vermieter Carlos anlasten. Die Zufahrt ist steil wie so häufig auf der Insel. Unser Tipp: Nach dem Parken Rückwärtsgang und Handbremse so fest wie möglich einlegen. Wir haben das Haus mit zwei Personen bewohnt und es war mehr als ausreichend dimensioniert. Naturliebhaber und Ruhesuchende werden hier voll auf die Kosten kommen. Für Partypeople besteht Depressionsgefahr. Carlos ist ein sehr aufmerksamer und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Mit einem Wort: wir haben uns hier gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Petra & Andreas

Super Ferienhaus mitten in der Natur

Das Ferienhaus liegt auf einer kleinen Ebene oberhalb von Ponta Delgada. Nach einer kurzen Einweisung von Carlos dem Vermieter, klappte es auch mit einem etwas schwächlichen Fiat Panda den steilen Zufahrtsweg zum Haus hinauf zufahren. Das Haus ist wunderschön und der Meerblick einer der schönsten den wir auf Madeira bis jetzt von einer Wohnung aus hatten. Das Inventar ist wie beschrieben und funktioniert auch wunderbar. Wir würden gerne noch mehr Sterne vergeben, allein schon wegen Carlos, den man wegen jeder kleinen Frage rund um die Insel anrufen kann. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder her.

Great place to stay on the North Coast

Carlos was a very helpful and friendly host. The house is in a lovely peaceful setting with great views over the sea and towards Porto Moniz. We loved the wood-burning stove which we lit on cool evenings. Quite a steep hill up to the house, but it wasn't a problem. The Bar Vereda on the main road is an excellent place for a night-cap on your way home. Very happy to recommend this house as a holiday home - we had a great time.

Pearl on the quiet north coast

The beautiful cottage is situated against the mountains. It is situated above Ponta Delgada (Lombada) on a very steep road, just outside the village and it is very quiet there. At the bottom of this road is a bar with small supermarket where surprisingly all daily necessities of life are available. You can also park here or at the church if you do not want to drive the steep road. The view from the covered terrace over the ocean is really great. The cottage is fully equipped including a washing machine, dryer and a nice wood stove. Water is extracted directly from the mountains and is excellent drinkable. The owner is a nice customer-oriented person, he is also there for you during the stay. In short: warmly recommended!
