très bien, reposant

très bon accueil:. frigo remplit de fruits et légumes du jardin. panier d'accueil avec café, biscottes et confiture maison. contacte minimaliste pour l'arrivé et départ, mais très sympathique. restaurant sur place, non testé par manque de temps, mais qui a l'air très typique et de qualité. Emplacement sympa pour ceux qui veulent, comme nous, alterner visite pompei, et visite côte Amalfitaine. (étant sur la montagne, nécessite un peu de route: 20-30 min !). Comme mis dans un commentaire précédent d'un autre locataire, location humide (nous avons fait l'erreur de faire sécher du linge à l'intérieur). mais en laissant un courant d'air toute la journée (fenêtres avec volet sécurisé) plus de souci. La maison garde la fraicheur, sympathique vu la température extérieure! Nous n'avons pas eu besoin d'allumer la clim qui est disponible dans une chambre. Petite terrasse avec table. mais accès à la terrasse par partie commune avec les propriétaires. Bref peu d'intimité à l'extérieur. Ce qui ne nous a pas posé problème.

Un posto bello e piacevole

Sono Giuliano Fogliani di Bastia Umbra (PG). Abbiamo soggiornato in questa location, con una coppia di amici di Torino, dal 17 agosto al 3 settembre. Conserveremo di questa vacanza un ricordo meraviglioso. Per la bellezza e la tranquillità della casa, posta fra vigne ed alberi da frutto, in una splendida cornice rurale. Per la gentilezza della padrona di casa, sempre disponibile e sorridente, come se fossimo di famiglia. Per l'ottima cucina, con tutti prodotti a km zero, molti di loro produzione, con paste fresche, salumi artigianali e, fra tutti, le meravigliose e deliziose melanzane al cioccolato, tipiche della zona, che non dimenticheremo mai. Grazie ancora e, se dovessimo tornare in vacanza da quelle parti, torneremo sicuramente lì. Invito tutti a provare, perché si sta veramente bene.

Dejligt og roligt sted i smukke omgivelser

Alle vore forventninger til opholdet hos familien Giordano i Tramonti blev indfriet, og på mange områder overgået, endda på en meget behagelig og inspirerende måde. De tre søskende Domenico, Philomena og Maria, som har omdannet deres forældres landejendom til en lille perle, har skabt et fantastisk udgangspunkt til udforskning af Amalfikysten. Casa Cavaliere ligger nemlig i bjergene blot 10-15 minutters kørsel fra kystbyen Maiori, og er således behageligt afsondret i forhold til de hektiske, trafikplagede og ofte overfyldte byer langs kysten. Efter en dag med udflugt til seværdigheder, solbadning på stranden eller shopping i byen, var det absolut fantastisk at sætte sig med et glas på stedets terrasse, og nyde roen og den spektakulære udsigt. Herudover vil vi fremhæve muligheden for at spise i stedets restaurant, som ligger i underetagen. Her fremtryller de tre søskende autentiske og klassiske italienske retter, og tilstræber at anvende princippet "nul kilometer". Restaurantens mad og vin er fortrinsvis fremstillet af økologiske produkter, som de slev dyrker på jorden omkring huset, eller indkøber hos naboer med husdyrhold. De fantastiske og dejlige måltider, stedets landlige hygge og vore tre værter, som på alle tænkelige måder sørgede for et meget behageligt ophold, vil vi give alle vores varmeste anbefalinger! Vi ser frem til at besøge Casa Cavaliere en anden gang.

Very Enjoyable Once We Cleaned It Up

The pictures don't give the whole story, but the bottom line is: We would stay here again. First surprise upon arrival was the 36 stairs that we had to ascend with all our luggage. Second surprise was the odor inside the house. It was most likely from a combination of things. An adjacent room in the same building is used to ferment grapes for wine, the kitchen surfaces had not been cleaned well, and cobwebs were in many places. We would recommend a thorough cleaning more often. With that out of the way, there are definitely positive aspects about staying here. Location is one of the big ones. It's uphill from Maiori on the Amalfi Coast in an agricultural area on a property that is also a vineyard, so the entrance is a dirt road right through the grapevines. Our rental car navigated it well, even on the two rainy days. Go up the first 33 steps and on your left is a kiwi arbor. We found out that kiwi fruit actually grow on vines in clusters, almost like grapes, but obviously the fruit is much larger. Being up out of the coastal activity was an intentional choice for us because we prefer the peace and quiet. Well, usually quiet. Some sort of celebration was going on for the first few days, so fireworks of some sort (some sounding like bombs) went off and echoed throughout the area at different times through the day/evening. The upstairs second bedroom is also a nice touch with its sloped and domed ceilings. Our adult daughter enjoyed her own space when she wanted it. The washing machine too was helpful, but the symbols for operating it were confusing. Nevertheless, we figured it out and it worked well. Philomena, the owner's sister, is very friendly and accommodating. We saw her nearly every day, even though we never met Maria, the owner, who lives on another property in the area. Overall, it was a pleasant week and we would love to return to the area. Since we're familiar with it, we would probably try to stay here again.

Prima woning, super schoon, veel ruimte voor 4 personen

Goed verblijf gehad van 5 dagen. Van hieruit Pompeii/Vesuvius en Almalfikust bezocht. Leuke wandeling gemaakt van Maiori naar Minori en terug over de Sentiero dei Limone. Huisje is ons super schoon ter beschikking gesteld. Met groente en fruit uit eigen tuin op tafel. Diverse keukenartikelen als zout, peper, olie, thee waren aanwezig. Slaapkamer boven is heel sfeervol. Enkele minpunten: Bedden zijn hard. Bukken op bovenverdieping. Douche werkte slecht tot niet, op laatste dag is geiser echter nog vervangen.

This house is clean and is a welcome quiet, cool retreat from the busy Amalfi Coast.

We enjoyed staying in the property which is situated about 20 mins from Maiori and the coast. It was clean, cool and quiet and was a good base to see the area although a car is a must. The host was helpful and provided us with more towels when we asked for them. It was nice to be able to shower although the temperature of the water was irregular.

Locazione ottima per chi vuole visitare la Costa Amalfitana!

La struttura Casa Cavaliere è stata un'ottima scelta per soggiornare e andare a visitare la costa amalfitana. Con la macchina si scende comodamente a Maiori e da lì ci sono tutti i collegamenti con l'autobus per Amalfi, Ravello, Positano o Sorrento. La Signora Maria è stata gentilissima e sempre disponibile. L'appartamento è stato ristrutturato con gusto e la cucina attrezzatissima per volesse cucinare. Un abbraccio da Roma, Loredana & family.

Tutto perfetto!

Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dalla location immersa nella natura e in posizione strategica per visitare la costiera amalfitana e dintorni (Napoli, Pompei,ecc.). Casa molto pulita e accogliente, con proprietari dall' estrema disponibilità e simpatia che,su richiesta, ci hanno preparato una cena tipica a base di prodotti a km 0 provenienti dal loro orto. Un particolare ringraziamento va alla signora Filomena anche per le piacevoli chiacchierate serali. Consigliatissimo! Un caro saluto dai Siciliani :-):-) :-)

A great place to stay

To enjoy your stay here you must have a car. Situated in the hills 15 minutes outside Maiori, it is a wonderful, safe haven to come home to after the madness of the Amalfi coast roads. Maria has a great family who will care for you. Large space - washing machine - safe environment - full kitchen - (although no microwave) air con and/or heating - lots of wardrobe space - free parking - great internet - spotlessly clean. A word on that internet - there is a perfect signal running off a dongle. Be careful though as it has a limited data capacity and when ours ran out, it took Maria and us almost a day to get it going again by adding more credit. There is no sitting room or settee, but you can watch the TV whilst sitting at the kitchen table or from the bedrooms. Or forget TV, and instead relax on the patio enjoying the most amazing view of the hamlets dotted around the mountains. There are some great restaurants within a short drive. Fabulous deli at the back of the house. Supermarket shopping available in Maiori or for super stores go to just off the autostrada at La Carteria
