Exactly what we needed

This property was plenty spacious enough for us and our 4 kids. Close enough to attractions and far enough away to enjoy quiet evenings away from the noise. located perfectly near sunset beach, howard park/beach . Both beautiful and not crowded. Every convenience you could want is within a 10 min drive. . The only thing that wasn't clear beforehand was that the pool was not on the property. It's shared exclusively within that subdivision. It's very nice. Unfortunately my other half lost the key and we weren't able to get a replacement before we left . That's more of fault than theirs. . If given the need, I'd absolutely stay there again. My whole family loved it

We loved Tarpon Springs and enjoyed meeting the owners of this home away from home. We hope to go back. This home has everything we needed and is centrally located making it easy to get everywhere you want to go in the area.

basic comfort

we had a pleasant stay at the property. It is not luxury. It is good value for the cost. The house needs cleaning. Most areas were clean, but all ducts, elevated surfaces, windows, outdoor areas need cleaning. we did have infestation of tiny spiders in the kitchen, especially the counters near the sink, we did see multiple cockroaches, and ants. There is not a printed information sheet for the property with crucial information: whom to call in emergency, nearest urgent care or hospital; wifi information; how to access the pool and courts, closing information. we were unable to get the ac on - could have used it for stuffiness with all windows and doors closed. When the fridge was full, it droned on with noise loud enough to disrupt sleep and conversations. The outdoor grill is rusted and was not in working order. While the property accommodates 10, there is not glassware, dishes or mugs for 10. We had to request pool and court access after our arrival. All linens are provided, but all need to be updated. Living area comfortably seats 5; dining area 6. Tea, sugar, spices on hand. No coffee 😢

not suitable for vacation, is not properly maintained, inside or outside, is almost 40 minutes clear water not close as he said, the air conditioning does not work, the furniture was completely full of dust like everything, is not furnished to vacation, everything is completely old, I'm sorry but nobody will pay to go on vacation to a place like this, we have been in other locations in panama city and we really wanted to experience tampa and had bad experience with this house and with the owners , since I made the reservation, I tried to communicate with them and they never answered, until I called directly to VRBO and they asked them what happened, very disappointing, after they communicated in a very sarcastic way since they had no idea that House was rented those dates, I mean absurd administration. They need to invest to rent, their house is disgusting.

Beautiful Home

The house was very clean, plenty of room for our party of 10. We really enjoyed our stay, we had everything we needed provided by the owners and had no problems at all. I highly recommend anyone looking for a vacation home in the Tarpon area.

This is a great house in a very nice neighborhood. We actually should have brought more people, LOL. There were three of us and more than enough room. Loved our stay and would stay again!

A clean, comfortable, convenient vacation!

I just finished a six-week stay (Feb 1 - March 15) in this rental and I was very pleased with my time there. The house is located in a nice neighborhood and the layout of this home is interesting with its open design. Although I was going by myself, I wanted a larger place because I had a number of people come visit with me while I was there. The pluses: 1. It is in a very convenient location in Tarpon Springs, near the quaint downtown, the Sponge docks, the Pinellas Bike Trail, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. 2. It is very private. The backyard is fenced in and, even though the houses are close together, you don't see the neighbors houses while in the yard. 3. The house was quite clean. Several earlier reviews expressed concern about the cleanliness of the place. The home owner has gotten a new cleaning service and the place is looking good. 4. The house is very spacious; plenty of room for people to eat, sleep and relax. 5. The owner is very helpful. If you do experience any problems, he is very quick to respond. Although he does not live in the area, his mother lives within the same HOA and he has several local maintenance people nearby. When I arrived, there was a problem with the wi-fi and he arranged for the service provider to send a technician the next day to fix everything. The minuses: 1. I was not thrilled with the decor of the place. The pictures/wall decorations were not to my taste but that is obviously a personal preference. 2. The tile floor in the kitchen has a lot of dark chips in it which makes it look like the floor is dirty even when it is clean. 3. The mattress in the Master bedroom was too soft for my liking. I like a firmer mattress; again a personal preference issue. None of my guests reported any problem with the beds. 4. The front yard is not as green as the picture. This is likely due to the general lack of rain they have had this winter. Most of the lawns on the street looked fairly parched. The only lawns that looked green were those where the people were out every day watering them. Overall, this is a very comfortable and conveniently located home. I very much enjoyed my stay and will likely go back there again. I think the rental price is a particularly good value for what you are getting. I would have given it 4 and half stars if that were possible.

Great house and location

The house was beautiful and very spacious for our group. Great location close to the sponge docks and not far from Clearwater either. When we had a problem with the air conditioning, I called the owner and it was fixed in no time. Very friendly people. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Not very convenient

The first impression of the House was ok. But it was very unclean. There were dust and hairs and things that should not have been there. The grill outside was beyond dirty. The second night we returned to the house the air conditioner was froze up and it was 80* in the House. They sent a guy out to take care of it and he said that it was because we had turned it down to low. But the filter was completely clogged solid. And he tried to tell us that it was to hot down there to run the a/c unit at 70*. We explained that it was currently hotter in Georgia where we were from than it was in Tarpon Springs where the House is located. One day when the ladies were getting ready they had two hair dryers going at the same time and it kicked one of the breakers off that we couldn’t get to because it was in a locked room in the garage. So we had to wait for them to come over and reset it. Then again the next night we can back to the house the a/c was again froze and it was again 80* in the House. The only reason I’m giving the house a 2 star is because the owner did try his best to reconcile by giving us a couple of extra nights. But this wasn’t an option due to everyone having to be back to work. He did give us $150 back on what we paid for the rental.

The house was very spacious

Overall this house was great. The manager met me at 2 am when I arrived in Florida after a long trip. She /they were very kind and they didn't "bother" us during our stay. However, I only received 2 garbage bags for the five days I was to stay. Also on the last day Florida had some heavy rain and water was coming in through the light fixture above the master bathroom bathtub. Also, the children complained that the water upstairs didn't get hot, only warm. I would stay there again as it was great price and neighborhood for a big family.

Great

We loved the open floor plan of this house! It was super convenient having a washer and dryer. Our three year old absolutely loved the neighborhood pool and playground. It was a huge relief getting there and seeing what a nice and quiet neighborhood it was! The location is fantastic! You’re right off highway 19 with everything you need. The owner was great to communicate with! Everyone was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Very comfortable stay!

Great location for Tarpon Springs and Tampa beaches. Beautiful, private Beckett Bay swimming pool that was easily accessible with ok basketball court. Our family spent time there each day. The kitchen was updated and very nice with new appliances and hard surface counter. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Flatscreen TV with many channels and DVD and blu-ray player. Nice Sony speakers for tunes. We enjoyed the new mesh patio chairs. Convenient to have the washer and dryer. Lots of towels and bedding. Our family of 7 (2 couples, a teenager and two young girls) was comfortable throughout our stay and had everything that we needed for a fantastic Spring Break in Florida. We would love to come again!

Poorly maintained!

There was a major lack of cleanliness throughout with many items that require maintenance, many light bulbs not working. Barbeque condition filthy and not usable. Kitchen utensils rusted. Cabinets were dusty. Refrigerator had to be cleaned before use. The owner has been advised of our dissatisfaction with overall condition of this rental.

Exterior of property, back and front, has not been maintained for a long period of time. Rear of house, windows, patio doors and chairs covered in mold, not a very appealing outside seating area. The junk car parked in the driveway was unacceptable. The overall interior of house appeared fine when you first entered however this house has not had a thorough cleaning in a very long time.

Great home near everything

We stayed at this lovely home for the month of February 2016. We got a house with multiple bedrooms to accommodate 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren the last week of February. The home has an open concept. While not on a beach, it is 2.5 miles to the nearest beaches. It is also 2 miles to the Tarpon Springs Sponge dock and historic area. The Tarpon Springs area has numerous places to visit, from historic, to nature, beaches to shopping, and State Parks. This home was perfectly located. There is room to park your car. A grill is there for your use if you want to eat in. The home is fully equipped from kitchen, bath and bedrooms. It does have WiFi. I rarely see a home with so much closet space. The main bathroom is very large and the upstairs bathroom was completely redone the week before our arrival. Despite some chilly days, our granddaughters did test the pool at the community pool site. We did leave for 2 days to stay closer to Universal Studios and opted not to drive after a long day but again, this was an easy commute to the Studios and back to Tarpon Springs. A good option if you don't want to spend an entire week in the very hectic Orlando area. The only issues were minor. The sofas were in need of some TLC and the futons which are listed in the 4th room as sleepers were found to be too uncomfortable. We had our own backup foam mattresses for such. The 3 other beds were comfy and cozy. We really enjoyed meeting the owner Dave and his mother Martha. We recommend this home for a family or for a group such as a girls weekend or week.
