We completely enjoyed our stay in Pali Ke Kua #117! The location is ideal for the North Shore - a hop to Hanalie, Kilauea and all the north shore beaches. Princeville itself is pretty dense with condos and golf courses, which was a surprise to me. That said, we felt very private and away from the crowds when we were in the condo, even when folks walked by to the beach or to view the sunset - a wave and an "aloha!" and they were on their way. The most frequent visitors were the NeNe's, which made for great company and amusement. The unit is a short walk from the parking lot. Ok, so the unit is dated; you know that from the photos. But it's comfortable and clean and has all you need. AND you're coming here for the view, and OMG, what a view! And it changes daily and sometimes hourly - sunny, rainy, rainbows galore, sunsets! We really liked the Pali Ke Kua beach as well. The walk is steep, so your legs are more fit by the end of your stay. The beach is sheltered, has good shade and had some of the best snorkeling - giant turtle and octopus included :) It never really got that crowded. It was a huge plus to just be able to walk down for a morning dip or a late afternoon snorkel. The bed was comfortable, ample linens were provided. Overall, heaven on Kauai. The one small annoyance was some of the kitchen doors/drawers stuck or didn't close (they need some TLC), but this is a mere blip on picture perfect week. Thank you! We'll be back.
